Yes it would be way less detrimental to get it in Act 2 but that's true of busted crown, cursed key, and fusion hammer as well. Shops can still be helpful in Act 3 so it's not like it's no downside. Is it just because you still got the gold from two boss fights before getting it, and you don't get a lot of gold from hallway fights in comparison?
So i searched this entire forum, and didnt really find any good threads about this. Ecto is a major card, we all know it, but how many heros absolutely must have him, and what heros should u skip on? I know heros are defined as Skill or Physical attack based. So if we could compile a list here, i bet that would help out future questions. After i get a few responses, ill add to list below.

Hey all! I just cracked open my jar of 2021βs batch of Ectoplasm shower goop stuff and it smells weird? Like I vaguely smell the tangerine/citrus notes but overall it reminds me of spirulina? It smells really gross. I got it when it was released during Halloween and kept it unopened in the cupboard since. Itβs still in date too. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it meant to smell weird? Or just a bad batch? (No I donβt have covid/loss of smell/taste π¬)
i think ectoplasm would be a great addition to the game. it could serve as either evidence or something you can take a pic of for money. evidence-wise, it could replace footprints/fingerprints for some ghosts, as in instead of the prints you'd usually see with a uv light, there'd be some green goo instead. or it could just be something that spawns around the map, or it'd just have a small chance of spawning and replacing a footprint/fingerprint.
or.... it could act as a sticky trap to get players stuck in, which would make hunts a lot more difficult.
I was exploring a lab, about ti leave it told me that i was suddenly covered in ectoplasm? Are there ghosts in the game or am i missing something? The room was completely clear of hostiles, and lit up. Please advise on exactly how bad is this? Is it fungus related? Is it netherworld related?
Is there any way to get these besides doing higher lvl dg? Like buying them or trading some sort of token/credit for them?
Iβve used all of them up for upgrading HO and farming for these takes forever really.

I was at the cemetery to visit my great grandma's grave, everything was normal until up ahead I saw some purple mist rise from a grave, and turn into a body, then a hand, then a head, soon it returned to the grave. I'm pretty sure this was ectoplasm because it kept changing form and a spirit would probably stay as a body. Let me know what you think though.
