A list of puns related to "Eckhardt"
Hi, I was wondering if anyone took CPE 357 with Eckhardt and how their experience was?
I wanted to ask a few questions related to the course to students who are taking this class in Fall 2021 and I was wondering if there's anyone who is willing to help me out. Please feel free to pm me if you're willing to help me.
I know that comparing yourself to others is of the ego but I feel like the fact that Eckhardt "received" enlightnemnent without doing much work, literally magically overnight seems kind of.... Unfair?
I have been reading PoN and NE and practicing presence for about 13 years now, reading those books at least once a year and I know in the deepest part of my heart that what is written in those books points to very large truths. But after all this time I feel like I am no better of? I'm defintely not at peace. The worst thing? My external life is amazing. I literally have zero problems in my life. Yet, I can't be at peace. I have this tormentor in my head that won't shut up no matter how hard I try to allow and observe.
Anyway, just venting here. Thanks.
For me, he's the most memorable supporting character. He doesn't have a ton of scenes, but every one that he does have is solid gold. Hootkins and the costuming combine perfectly to portray a guy that gave up giving a shit a long time ago and is now just out for himself. And I don't know what Hootkins did to his voice to make it so gravelly, but I never get tired of listening to it. "You ain't got no future, JACK."
He's so out of fucks to give that he's not afraid of Jack Napier, calling him a psycho to his face - and even at the Axis Chemicals shootout, he has to know that Napier would be seeking revenge, but when Napier calls his name he just turns around slowly and stares because he does. Not. Care. You almost have to admire having reached that plateau of indifference.
I'm aware that he was likely based on Harvey Bullock from the comics. I'd love to see a revival of the character, but with a longer part to play.
I run a YouTube channel called NightDocs where I focus mainly on documentaries about mysteries and such. Eckhardt's Ladder and I are in the early planning stages on a big collaboration to do a video on the wars of Eve Online. Because Eve Online doesn't really fit the theme of my channel, it's going to be on Eckhardt's channel. Although there are many really amazing stories in Eve, I want to do a story on the fall of Circle of Two Alliance since I was directly involved with it in the days before I had a platform, and it's to this day, one of the wildest experiences I've ever had in gaming.
Years ago, I was a really avid player of Eve, and was a part of Circle of Two right as it fell in the Seige of M-OEE8. I was part of a corporation called Material Trade and Acquisition. I was TERRIBLE in combat, but had a big affinity toward industry, and I specialized in Planetary Interaction, even running workshops for people in my corp and alliance on best practices and made macro-enabled Excel workbooks that would pull live market data to help optimize what Tier 4 (or whatever the highest tier planetary resource was at the time) materials would be best to produce in a particular system. I was extremely invested in the game, and if I'm honest, it may have been a contributing factor in the downfall of my marriage haha
I was even involved with actively recruiting and even made this stylized recruitment video (no relevant reason to show this, I just think it's fucking funny and wanted to show off haha) for my corporation during the early days when the war between CO2 and Pandemic Legion / Northern Coalition started heating up.
The vision I have for this project is to make a highly polished almost WWII-style documentary about the events leading up to the downfall of CO2. It's an amazing story that I think needs to be heard by people who aren't familiar with Eve and the dynamics at play within the game. It'll be interwoven with my personal experience getting into Eve, joining a corp, or move to Null space, joining CO2, and getting immediately caught up in a huge war, and then my eventual quitting the game for mental health and real life balance, although I still miss it and have good memories
So here's what I'm trying to assemble and wh
