A list of puns related to "Drop Frame Timecode"
Hey all,
Two posts in just a couple hours. Just one of those days I guess.
Okay, I have a project with a lot of mixed frame rate archival footage coming from Avid, as an AAF headed to Resolve for color. Upon importing the timeline into Resolve, a lot of the media with odd frame rates (Project is 23.97, some of the archival footage is 29.97 or 24) gets kicked offline with the error βMismatch between specific target timecodes [timecode here] and located file timecodes [timecode here]β.
In Avid, the proxies were always made to retain source frame rate, so I donβt know why they would be different than the located file timecodes, so why would the AAF be spitting out mismatched info. Any idea?
Specs: Davinci Resolve Studio 16 (16.0.0.060)
macOS Catalina 10.15.7; iMac (Retina 5k, 2019); 3.6 GHz 8 Core Intel Core i9; 40gb Memory 2667 MHz DDR4;
Footage running off 20TB, Thunderbolt G-Drive
Media: mixed, but mostly this problem is occurring with H.264
in a 29.97 fps timecode, 2 frames are dropped every minute except for minutes 00, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50. What about 59.94 fps timecode? When frames are dropped on that?
I've 2 turntables (Reloop's) and 2 CDJs (2000nxs2)..
I'm born (djing means) in 80s playing on turntables..
I bought CDJs just to have a quick option for weddings or other events where turntables could be not 'so appreciated' by people (and bring them could be a useless carry)..
anyway each time I've to play I like more bring turntables (even if more weight carrying), records and my Mac to play on DVS (timecode).. bring CDJs it's same as bring soulless electronic toys: no self reward playing on them..
so..I'm thinkin' to sell them to cash in for a Rane MP2015 buying, but in the meantime I've fear to regret my choice, CDJs are ever a standard so..
please, share your feel and thought about.. Thanks mates..
I'm not asking how to set my own thumbnail image. I just happen to like the one that is being displayed by default and I would really like to save it as an image file, if possible.
I'm not a full-time editor anymore these days so I'm not hands-on on this project but watching from a distance...that's not correct right?
If the audio is dropped into a 23.976 timeline samples can shift underneath of the frames, meaning you have to chop 2 seconds at the native fps, not in the 23.976 one right? Or does something like Premiere accommodate the difference automatically?
Hi! I gotta shoot coming up in which they are recording the entire sequence on 36.6fps on Alexa. I have a couple of Ambient nanolockits and an Ambient slate going into a 664.
As far as I know, none of my equipment is able to do timecode in that frame rate. Is there a way to properly tackle this?
Thanks in advance guys!
[SOLVED]
I have been working with this computer for multiple years and diffenrent camera's, external and internal ssd's and hdd's.
I have been working with these specific camera's for about 2 years or so.
Lately I noticed the Premeire slowing down and getting errors more often. "Error retrieving frame [random frame number] at time [timecode of said framenumber]".
Deleted a bunch of old software, re-installed Premiere, updated drivers, factory reset the computer, found instructions to change certain settings like change the CPU in Premiere (it was already on it's recommended setting).
I now have to restart my computer each time before opening a project if I want to edit it. That's fine, I can do that. But Media Encoder can not render a simple 20 min video without any effects. Premiere calculates it will take about 70+ hours.
After about two days of research I have found nothing but speculation and unsolved agony. People with various different filetypes, systems, versions of Premiere Pro, all the same problem.

Does anyone have a solution?
Hey there r/TAS, I made this tool for a speedrunning community to assist in the moderation process of run verification and thought that you may find this helpful, too.
I know that as a TASer in the past, I have had instances of downloading youtube videos to copy TAS strats, and due to no file download, I needed an exact frame count to work towards.
This isn't a complicated app, by any means, but it is functional and does the job.
I understand they were on break, but this is utterly unacceptable to leave this game in this state for console users, more specifically Xbox users, for multiple weeks now with no clear fix in the future either. There are some users reporting that PS now can get back to 120 FPS in spurts after the fix tonight, but nothing for Xbox.
The performance of the game never improved. Still no 120 FPS for Xbox Series X/S. No fix for frame pacing and stuttering issues for either console. Frames drops frequently below 60 FPS.
Hello,
I have been looking around to here and Google, but haven't been able to find what I'm looking for.
I have a sequence all cut up into different clips, and want to display the total duration of each clip as a burn in. Is there a way to do this without needing to make a title for each one?
Using the TC generator under Video Effects>Video>Timecode, I can get it to display frames, but only as a running number from the start of the clip to the end.
I can also use the Automate To Sequence feature to add a title to each clip, but then would have to manually go through to change the text of each one, which I'm trying to avoid.
In the Time Code window, I can set it to display the IN TO OUT FRAMES option and see the info for any clip I select, but I can't for the life of me find if I'm able to get that to appear on my clips.
Thanks for any wisdom you have to offer
So I've noticed that many people are experiencing stuttering in genshin impact. From what I've seen, there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it.
I've tried many things but none of them worked:
>-screen-fullscreen 1 -window-mode exclusive
These frame drops happen everywhere in game. In more intense / crowded areas it's more frequent. Just walking in the wild is enough to make the game freeze for a moment. This will also cause your camera to fling when you move it, which can be really disorienting and annoying.
Here are the tests I've made using various settings:
>My specs:
>
>CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X
>
>GPU: RTX 3060 Ti (driver version: 497.09)
>
>RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz
>
>SSD: Kingstone A2000 500GB (for OS) and 1TB (for Game)
>
>Windows version: 21H2 build 19044.1415
>
>Ping: 25-65 ms in game
In my case nothing changed how long the freeze lasts. When I just start the game it's around 100-180 ms but over time it will go up to 300 ms.
So far I'm yet to see someone whose game is running with no stutters. If you have no such issues, please check your game with a frame graph, it's easy to miss these micro freezes if you are not paying attention.
Many people have said that the stutters happen because of way garbage collection is handled. I've found this documentation, and it seems like this is what is happening.
There also seems to be a limit of how much RAM can the game use, I've never seen the game go above 3 GB
