Update: 6th December 2021 Monday (Australia) - Money received in my bank, shit thats fast. Screenshot and CS transaction posted below
I hate to do this but it had to be done for the greater good, stop spewing bullshit about how hard it is to sell on Computershare, my limit order literally went through in 10 fucking minutes.
(Now I realised when I check the pending transaction the status was already on "Awaiting Settlement", at the time I wasn't sure if that meant the order was executed. So in reality it can execute instantly, however I didn't screenshot/video it so we'll just go with "10 minutes" when the confirmation email arrived)
I'm happy to provide further proof to mods if needed.
Proof:
Email notification after placing order: *NOTE: I'm from AUSTRALIA hence the time difference*

Hope this will stop the Computershare FUD, don't award me - just UPVOTE to spread the words
FAQ1. Why are you doing this?
I noticed there are still a lot of questions/uncertainty/claims on Reddit and Twitter regarding selling on Computershare. So I thought what better way than to verify it for myself and the community.
2. "Lol no1 is doubting the sell speed of CS, its about how much you can sell it for" / "wow big deal you sold 1 single share outside of MOASS"
You think your frontrunning, PFOF mf brokerages who turned off the buy button / "typo" extra 12 million shares to short would let you sell anywhere near/above Computershare's limit during the MOASS? (Which they are working to increase as per AMA) fucking lol.
*3. Where does the money go?*You have 2 options:
A. Receive the proceedings via Cheque which will be sent to you via physical mail (You can also request for courier service for a fee)
B. Direct Bank Transfer is the option I selected, I will update this post when the funds arrives in my bank account. Keep in mind it may take longer because I am from Australia.

At 32 years old and 7.5 years after first beginning community college, I finally obtained my Bachelors degree (in Statistics). However, since graduating and submitting >200 applications without success, I can't help thinking that I wasted almost 8 years of my life. As a result of this experience, I'm immensely skeptical that self-teaching programming is also a false promise, and that those who post success stories here aren't representative of most people on this sub.
Please convince me that I am wrong.

Since the 10-Q was posted yesterday, I've seen a lot of FUD revolving around the following statement:

Based on this, there are people talking about how GME cannot issue a dividend until 2026 (the date of maturity on the new line of revolving credit)... My. That's a big ol' piece of FUD to start spreading immediately after an earnings call that directly spoke to the company's Web-3 transformation. Hmm.
Why is it FUD, you ask?
Because Gamestop can absolutely still issue a dividend and anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant of boilerplate legal contracts OR wants to deliberately trick you and new apes in to thinking a dividend isn't a possibility.
Let's take a look, shall we? The previous screenshot looks pretty scary. Restrictions on their ability to issue dividends? Oof... But, fun fact: Restrictions on dividend issuance are common in basically ALL loans to public companies.
And yet many of them issue dividends all the same. How, you ask?
Well... those restrictions only apply when the issuing company (GME) owes money to their lender and a dividend would cause issues with payment on their loans.
Easy. If you owe the lender money, you need to account for it. That's it. If you can pay your lender, you can issue a dividend.
If you're curious, you can use a free trial on the following website to get an idea of what a boilerplate loan of this type looks like: https://content.next.westlaw.com/9-501-7208
ta;dr - GME can give special banana to apes if GME has enough normal bananas to cover what they owe to their lender.
* BONUS *
Because I hear this all the fuckin' time too... Yes, a dividend can be issued with negative EPS. The only thing that matters (aside from debt obligations) for issuing a dividend is RE - Retained Earnings.
If GME has enough cash on hand from profits over the entire lifetime of the company to pay for said dividend, then they can issue it. Full stop.
Whose fault is this bad design? Paizo or Owlcat?

Itβs 2022, but even two years after Rise of Skywalker and well into a global pandemic, it continues to be a common misperception in many Star Wars fan communities that Rian Johnson chose to transform the trajectory of the movies away from Rey as a biological Skywalker and towards Rey and Kylo as a romantic pair.
And time over time again, especially in certain circles, JJ Abrams is heralded as a valiant champion of the Rey (is a biological) Skywalker movement, a creative whose post-TFA outline supposedly included pairing Rey with a particular ex-Stormtrooper or a Resistance pilot, or with no one; an outline that was then foiled by Rian.
Others may not describe JJβs skills in the same way, but echo the sentiment that he was someone who was simply pigeonholed into a romance for TROS by TLJ or the studio, and that neither JJ (nor Kasdan) set up any romantic threads for Reylo in TFA.
Unfortunately for those people, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of writing my own long-winded thesis out of whole cloth, I will simply redirect readers towards those receipts, with the necessary context and commentary attachedβ¦
To begin, JJ told a fan in the audience during a film festival in 2016 that Reyβs parents werenβt in the movie:
>βReyβs parents are not in Episode VII. So I canβt possibly say in this moment who they are. But I will say it is something that Rey thinks about, too.β
Han, Leia, and Luke are all in TFA. By default, she was probably never going to be the child of any one of them, and with that in mind, even the possibility of Rey being Kylo Renβs cousin at the time seem, narratively speaking, slim.
For the record, I personally believe that, although JJ likely didnβt have much planned past TFA, he was probably most interested in having Rey be a nobody (albeit, in a much different way than Rian ended up doing) or a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi, before Ep. IX. I never thought she was a Skywalkerβit was way too obvious of a setup, and the story being told in TFA before TLJ or TROS came along seemed to aggressively set up any serious future threads away from a Skywalker lineage reveal, while brin
... keep reading on reddit β‘A lot of discussions around Elite include a reference to a "10 year plan", as if Braben has a clock on his desk counting down to Dec. 16, 2024 at which time development will immediately cease. I think the wiki is partly to blame for the persistence of this myth, as there is a section titled "10 Year Development Plan" on the Development Plans page. Here is the one and only source for the existence of the "10 Year Plan":
"Looking back at those (developer videos), you can see what we've done, we're executing on the plan. There's still a lot of things that are to come and those are very exciting. We do have a long plan. It would take us a long time to deliver all the things that we want to do. The great thing is the more things get added to the end of it. So it may well be never ending. I've said sort of 8 years, 10 years, but actually it could end up and I'm hoping it'll be a lot longer than that. The key point is we'll keep doing exciting things and we'll work out how best to do that." - David Braben
How people extract "10 year plan" from this quote is beyond me. Obviously Frontier is going to keep developing Elite for as long as it makes them money, be that more or fewer than 10 years (I think we all hope more). A complex software project like this just isn't planned out 10 years in advance in the way that some people seem to believe. There is constant re-evaluation and adaptation to changing factors. Let's put the "10 year plan" talking point to rest.
I know relying on a random weapon skill probably isn't the best strategy in the world, but if you can nab one, it can easily save the run for any unit lacking in dispel. Along with one or two emergency shared skills, it'd be more than enough to deal with Kai Yan or Ciella.
Maybe weapons can have other skills with dispel, but I haven't found any so far.

The other day, someone posted in r/aspergirls about why guys who are into anime seem to have yellow fever, and the thread quickly became inundated with autistic women complaining about how creepy autistic men are. Like I get that we might miss social cues more often than neurotypical men, but goddamn, it was disheartening to see even autistic women having such a low opinion of us. It reinforces one of my worse fears that Iβll never be loved or appreciated for my Aspergers, but only in spite of it. Autism pride or acceptance doesnβt matter, learning social cues doesnβt matter, because even autistic women associate their male counterparts with being creepy. How can we change the narrative?
Dispel magic is probably the most underrated powerful ability in the game. Almost all of the strong enemies in WOTR come prebuffed to a ridiculous extent and it's essential to dispel those abilities in order to do any decent damage. The best part is that you can usually dispel all of those buffs with a single action through various dispel abilities.
For most bosses, it is easily worth an additional 20-30 attack bonus until the end of the fight.
As an example, being able to reliable dispel Playful Darkness gives you an effective additional +25 AB. 12 of that comes from directly removing 12 AC providing buffs (haste, barkskin, shield, foresight) and 13 comes from being able to catch Playful Darkness flatfooted after dispelling his true sight and foresight. And you can usually dispel all of those buffs in one standard action if done correctly. Dispelling true sight in particular is game changing as it allows you to use displacement and mirror image for defense, which are huge buffs and significantly decrease damage done to your character.
How to dispel:
All dispel effects involve a roll between your caster level and the level of the enemy buff. Every enemy buff level is manually assigned per enemy and is usually 20 during the later half of the game. The DC of the roll is 11 + the enemy caster level compared to a d20 + your caster level.
The generic way to dispel magic is to use Greater Dispel Magic. This will attempt to dispel every effect on an enemy, rolling for each effect. This is a level 6 abjuration spell, which will become available on wizards around level 11.
Unfortunately, Greater Dispel Magic is very inconsistent. When both you and your opponent are the same caster level, you only have a 50% chance of dispelling any particular effect. However, you are usually underleveled compared to your opponents and dispelling often only has a 30% or lower success rate.
Luckily, most of the mythic paths have ways to dispel magic more consistently.

Sometimes the GME subreddits feel like echo chambers. I deliberately delved into FUD and tried to let it scare me.
It did.
Of course it did, that's what the purpose of creating FearUncertaintyDoubt is about. However, when you're convinced of something, you stand by your decision in following the route that potentially brings you to what convinced you in the first place.
I created this file for myself to dispel FUD. A lot of DD that has been done over the last months has been debunked and even though that's sad, when you go a certain route you discover things along the way and readjust your focus. Sometimes you take a different that you didn't intend on taking initially, but eventually you'll arrive at your destination; the place you did intend to reach.
This post won't dispel all FUD, but it's all I need to keep believing in what I invested in.
I like the stock. That's something that has been said a lot of times, but if you truly like something, you won't just give up on it.
Of course not.
What follows is a list of reasons why I invested and stay invested in the stock I myself like.
Nothing wrong with the above, so why attack people on that? Let them hold what they like.
Ian Kershaw is perhaps the best working English historian on the subject of the Third Reich and Holocaust. His work, particularly since 1991, has caused a revolution in academic approaches to German society between 1933-45. His detailed studies of the Holocaust do not focus exclusively on the spectacle of horror, but rather how that horror arose from state and society.
However, outside of professional history, a pre-1991 view predominates. This approach to Holocaust studies is an artifact of the Cold War, where there was a political need to create false equivalency between the Third Reich and Soviet Union. Arendtβs theory of Totalitarianism, the basis of Horseshoe Theory, starts with the premise that the USSR resembles the Third Reich, Stalin Hitler and so on, and falsifies or omits evidence to support that conclusion.
Kershaw, in the essay quoted below, does not exonerate the USSR of human suffering, or Stalin of paranoia, but simply demonstrates that rapid industrialization and heavy-handed response to cyclical famines are fundamentally rational state projects supported by violence, as opposed to the Third Reich which was guided by the principle of charismatic leadership and so pursued violence for its own sake, with no definitive goal.
> The renewed emphasis, already visible in the mid-1980s, on the intertwined fates of the Soviet Union and Germany, especially in the Stalin and Hitler eras, has become greatly intensified in the wake of the upheavals in Eastern Europe. The sharpened focus on the atrocities of Stalinism has prompted attempts to relativise Nazi barbarismβseen as wicked, but on the whole less wicked, than that of Stalinism (and by implication of communism in general). The brutal Stalinist modernising experiment is used to remove any normative links with humanising, civilising, emancipatory or democratising develop- ment from modernisation concepts and thereby to claim that Hitlerβs regime, too, wasβand intentionally soβa βmodernising dictatorshipβ. Implicit in all this is a reversion, despite the many refinements and criticisms of the concept since the 1960s, to essentially traditional views on βtotalitarianismβ and to views of Stalin and Hitler as βtotalitarian dictator
> But the fundamental problem with the term βtotalitarianismββleaving aside its non-scholarly usageβis that it is a descriptive concept, not a theory, and has little or no explanatory power. It presumes that Stalinism and Hitlerism were more like each

Dispel Magic, RAW says: > Targeted Dispel: One object, creature, or spell is the target of the dispel magic spell. You make one dispel check (1d20 + your caster level) and compare that to the spell with highest caster level (DC = 11 + the spellβs caster level). If successful, that spell ends. If not, compare the same result to the spell with the next highest caster level. Repeat this process until you have dispelled one spell affecting the target, or you have failed to dispel every spell.
Caster Level, RAW says: > A spellβs power often depends on its caster level, which for most spellcasting characters is equal to her class level in the class sheβs using to cast the spell. > > You can cast a spell at a lower caster level than normal, but the caster level you choose must be high enough for you to cast the spell in question, and all level-dependent features must be based on the same caster level. > > In the event that a class feature or other special ability provides an adjustment to your caster level, that adjustment applies not only to effects based on caster level (such as range, duration, and damage dealt), but also to your caster level check to overcome your targetβs spell resistance and to the caster level used in dispel checks (both the dispel check and the DC of the check).
