A list of puns related to "Discoverable"
A small addition that might be fun for role-playing would be a toggle switch to hide some genetic traits until discovered.
For instance, traits like club foot, hunchback and dwarf are usually pretty recognizable at birth, so you would already know they have the trait, and other characters would already know that.
Other traits, however, could be discoverable at certain ages. Intelligence and beauty would make more sense to be dictated at Coming of Age or around adulthood. You would not immediately know at birth if your child had it. These would be seen by everyone once revealed.
A third tier would be hidden traits that may or may not be discovered. This would mainly be the fertility ones in my opinion. You would not be able to know, during that age, if you were fertile or sterile. You could have the chance of discovering these in time if your spouse or you had lots of kids, or lack of kids. These could hidden to other characters by choice until discovered by them.
Probably not a perfect system but could add some fun.
I'm wondering if there is a way to include a discoverable language in the game. For example, an ancient language spoken in game alongside English that is revealed, letter by letter, by finding certain objects. I know I'd have to make my own font type or whatever, but is there a way to include this feature?
Yo this game is fire . This my first play through just made it to Diamond lake. Was fu**** around and found this badass axe lookin baseball bat! I searched every crack of cabins for special weapons early game but didnβt find any so I stopped till now . Are they any special weapons I missed in the other parts of map? Also how Cool it would be if this game had Co op? Missed opportunity manπ€¦π½ββοΈ
So i just moved into a new flat, where i was somehow tricked by the real estateagent and because of the rush i was under i missed out on a couple of clauses in the rent agreement.
One of which prohibits smoking, the building is huge, with 20 apartments in it, my bathroom is linked to a drop off space (not sure if that is what it's called, basically a huge space where all bathrooms and rooms have a window opening to an empty space in the middle of the building) If i smoke in the bathroom, will the smell be noticeable?
Already messed up by lighting my hookah and smoking in the kitchen, no one has mentioned anything.
The landlord apparently is a rich dude who ownes several buildings including a hotel in uttrakhand, where according to airbnb it's also non smoking so they are strict about it The rent agreement is huge with 12 pages of clauses in it, i can see how most of them are for the property protection and it's not like he's out to get me or anything.
But I'm feeling very paranoid (not weed related paranoia as I'm on a T break) and thinking the worst.
Also even though it's unrelated i just want a space to let out this part where I might've screwed up, if anyone has law experience can help me i would be grateful, one of the clauses mentions how many people may stay in the flat, it was very specific in saying that it's one person per room (3bhk) yet the owner already knows we are 4 people who shifted. And my father will stay with us for few months later on, and I'm very terrified that this might create an issue later on as i just read this clause right now.
Sorry for talking about an issue unrelated to the sub, but this is one of the few safe spaces that i know about
I'm not sure if what I'd like to be able to do is possible, but here's my goal.
Right now I have a Windows Print server that we currently use for the domain joined PCs while we slowly transition our computers to fully Azure AD & Intune joined. The domain joined PCs have printers deployed via Group Policy.
I've also set up Universal Print so that the now Azure AD joined PCs can add the printers via Universal Print.
The issue is when people on the network go to add a printer, they can search locally and see the printers from the print server.
I'd like to make it so users can't search locally and find the local printers, they should only be able to add them via searching the cloud (Universal Print).
I need the printers to still be work with the domain joined while we get them transitioned.
Then the other issue is I do need printers to be discoverable for the few people that use Macs.
I just want Windows users to not be able to search for printers on the local network.
Am I crazy or is this a pretty easy fix? When I go on a printer there are more than a dozen services that I can enable/disable so I'm not sure which ones I should disable without breaking something.
I have three Sengled Smart LED bulbs. I bought one first, and it paired easily, and the color was easy to set via the app on my iPad, and so I ordered two more.
Now the lamp has three bulb plugs, but it is not a dimmer, or 3-way, its just on/off. I put the two new bulbs in it, although right now i took one out to only be dealing one new bulb.
Ive spent maybe 4-5 hours on this, using both my 3rd gen Echo, or my iPad, and nothing i do makes them discoverable by Alexa. No new devices. Ive scoured the sengled site and done all they suggest.
Any ideas please?
I have two players at my table that both have a passion for creating their own magic items. They previously played in separate games of mine, and it worked out just fine because they were the only players at their individual tables that were interesting in crafting magical items. It was win/win because they enjoyed doing it and I enjoyed the practice tuning homebrew magic items.
The problem stems from the merging of those two groups for a new campaign. They're both once again playing characters with the backstory and motivation to make their own magical items. This wouldn't be a problem, as I've included plenty of magical resources for them to purchase and find for both of them. My issue is one of these players, we'll call them O, is more outgoing and tends to speak out faster than the other player, who we'll call R. O tends to talk about searching rooms & speaking to shop keepers faster than R, who enjoys a little bit of roleplay to establish a connection with magic shop owners and npcs in new cities they're visiting. As a result, O tends to find the box of powdered mithril before R does. O takes these materials and uses them towards their own project and refuses to split the materials between them.
I've tried the following tactics to no success:
I'm heavily considering just making certain items available only for either O or R to find rather than placing them in random "loot spots" within the dungeons. As for the shops, I have no idea how to stop O from saying "I buy it all" with the money they've hoarded previously (Not an issue, I now split the gold up evenly between them when they find it so one player can't horde it).
One of my favorite elements of Civ 3 was discoverable resources. When working a tile there was a chance to discover a resource that fits that tile. IE, you work a hill and it would declare "My Lord! We have discovered a new source of Coal!" And sometimes (it was very rare) it would inform you "My Lord! This source of Coal has been exhausted!"
I think if they allowed you to build districts over resources, then this would be a really cool feature to discover resources (I think it should work for strategic, bonus, and luxury). What are your thoughts?
Hello, I bought a new Bluetooth keyboard. It's Gigamax GM-BT100. I have been charging it until charging led is turned off. When I switch it to on, Bluetooth lid is turned on but then quickly returns off.
Through some googling, I learned there might be some key to make it discoverable by mobiles.
Here is it: https://www.amazon.eg/-/en/Gigamax-key-board-Bluetooth-GM-BT100/dp/B091J9CYSC
I tried multiple phones, and the same issue occurs.
Any help to connect my phone to it?
I feel like this issue is getting back every other meta. From what i've remembered so far the most oppressive scenarios were OP dragons from lackeys and soul mirrors from other sources in Priest #1 meta. I mean, looking at the data atm, drafted Sneeds is in like 5,4% of the decks and deeprun in 30-40 percent in which from what i've read on this sub people get the sneeds 50% of the time. Back in the day without discoveries drafting legendary was such a cool and unique experience. Now we are at this point that i feel like the legendary cards ban from discoveries is as needed as the fix that disabled discovering copies of the discover cards. It just got too common for me, maybe giving Sneeds a Ramming Mount treatment could solve an issue this meta but i feel like it will come back in the future. Let me know what you think in the comments, as i said playing legendaries in Arena should not be that common for me and since they probably will print more and more discover cards, the mode would be much more enjoyable while not losing to the same legendary every other game.
I have this OBNOXIOUS issue right now with my quest 2.
I can cast from my quest to my phone, and I can cast apps from my phone to my TV via a Google chromecast (3rd gen).
But my occulus can't find my chromecast directly to let me cast from the headset to the chromecast/TV.
Any insight anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Notes:
-There are no issues with the chromecasts functionality.
I'm new to using the Windows 10 file sharing system and so far it has been easy setting it up. The only problem I have is that I have 2 PCs and 1 laptop here at my home, and 1 of the PCs can see the other 2 devices while those 2 devices can't seem to see any other device but themselves in the network tab in Windows Explorer. I did the same network and sharing settings on all 3 devices but somehow they aren't discoverable with each other even on the same network.
Any ideas on what could possibly be the problem?
When trying to connect them to a smart TV, they werenβt showing up on the list of available Bluetooth devices. I opened my phone to see if they were discoverable there, but they were not. Tried turning them off and on again but that didnβt work. Any advice?
Does android 12 have discoverable mode disabled by default? There doesn't seem to be an option to enable/disable it on Android 12 (Pixel 6).
IDK what triggered this, any ideas?
I denied this request.
Setup details:
Issue: Momentum 3 are not discoveralbe by Windows
Note1: My phone and somebodys TV were discovered by Windows
Note2: My phone discovers Momentum with no issues
Anyone faced that?
Does it just mean the first ones I come across? Do I have to be at a certain level to see fishing hotspots in the water or just see them on the map?
Does that I can't see or fish a hotspot if I'm not at a certain fishing level? I swear I've never seen a 2-3 star hotspot in the water even after waiting around for the respawn timer
Hi, I have recently setup a local Unifi console on my Truenas server docker with a single U6LR device. It worked fine, I can connect with the phone network app etc, setup my U6LR no problems other than I had to SSH in and manual inform. Planned to stay like this until UDR releases, but really need an AP upgrade first.
sometimes passed, and the console is now completely undiscoverable by the app, but I can setup direct manual connections on ip:8443. Local web access is working still on both 8080 and 8443. Remote access in settings is also disconnected, so I can't use the ui.com portal. I also run a ER4 as router, so I tried setting the Unifi IP in the DHCP setting, but still no dice.
Only changed I made is setting up a Pihole on the same host (moved from my RasberryPi that died), but I tried turning it off and Unifi console issues still persists. I don't see any port conflicts. I don't see anything Ubiquiti related stuff being blocked on Pihole. Any suggestions? How does the discovery and remote access work that it is now suddenly broken? Thanks
(NEW to Linux)
(OS: Pop!_OS 21.04 x86_64, Kernel: 5.11.0-7633-generic)
IT doesn't show any devices in settings. IT is visible on my phone, I can't pair it
I tried to follow this guide "https://computingforgeeks.com/connect-to-bluetooth-device-from-linux-terminal/" but after scan on I got nothing or this error "org.bluez.Error.InProgress"
I also tried Blueman but it didn't work
(Dual boot) In windows it works.(so Adapter isn't the issue)

Did some googling and couldnβt find an clear cut answer.
This is what appears when I am in my Bluetooth discovery screen.
Has anyone else come across this?, and if so is this a software or hardware problem?.
The way it helps discoverability right now is to store (submitter provided) metadata about the dataset that would hopefully match with some of the things people search for when looking for a dataset to fulfill their projectβs needs.
I would appreciate any feedback on the idea (email in the footer of the site) and how you would approach the problem of discoverability in a large store of datasets
edit: feel free to check out the upload functionality to store any data you are comfortable making public and open
