A list of puns related to "Directshow"
it has to do with the dll nvd3umx.dll and the error is thrown when the line IMediaControl -> Run() is executed. How do i fix it?
I wrote a project with directshow that capturing video and save it to a file properly.
Now I want to add the capability of previewing to my application.
I used "smart tee" filter to have both capturing and previewing.
The only problem is that I don't know how to get HWND of preview window in my application. (I just want to draw some text on it.)
Any idea?
Is there any hope to get it running? (why I want it; Vlc skins are never getting fixed and mpv frontends are mostly garbage. Potplayer has a good default skin and plays everything, if can be run properly)
I dont know if i am supposed to see my camera video lutput on the screen or if this just renders the videk but dkesnt actually display anything on the screen. What is the renderstream method supposed to do? Am i supposed to see any output on the screen?
Hello everyone! I am trying to determine what (cheap) camera to use with LabView and have encountered a number of cameras that use the UVC protocol (Example: http://www.webcamerausb.com/elp-usb-30-2mp-sony-imx291-50fps-high-speed-camera-module-usb-30-industrial-with-no-distortion-lens-for-video-conference-p-249.html ). However, I wasn't able to find whether this means the camera is also DirectShow compatible, which is what is needed to use it with LabView (Source: http://www.ni.com/example/30030/en/ ).
So does anyone know if UVC can work with LabView? Sorry if this is obvious, I just spent a lot of time looking to no avail and would appreciate any help!
Hi all,
I am brand new to the community so please bare with me. I've tried contacting Elgato support on twitter but their response time is anywhere from a day to a week. I ordered an HD60s, which gets delivered tomorrow. I dont need to stream video games (though that does sound fun). My goal is to connect it to my Sony A7iii and take video calls for work over my nice camera (we use Blue Jeans at work for video). I also use Zoom for calls with friends. Today, I heard back from Elgato support that they recommend the HD60S+ because the 60S I ordered is a "directshow" device and will require extra software. Unofortunately, the 60S+ is sold out everywhere and I've already ordered the 60S. Its on its way to my house. Does anyone know what software I'd need to download? Is this something overly complex and worth returning the 60S? Or is it something I can figure out in a day and get the necessary software once and its over? Is the software free? I know of OBS but I guess dont necessarily NEED OBS? All I really want to do is take video calls for work using my nice camera. Thanks so much in advance!
Hi everyone,
I have a really big problem and I can't seem to find any solution for it.
I have an application which captures images from webcams using a DirectShow wrapper library. Everything works fine on Windows 7, however, on Win 8 or 10, capturing images doesn't work anymore. I can see all available cameras, but I get no frames.
Currently I'm using the accord framework, but I have tried at least 5 demos of other DirectShow capturing frameworks - no luck. Did anyone else experience this behaviour?
I'm now trying to use WIA instead of DirectShow and I also tried EmguCV. This is really getting on my nerves, my application supports all Windows versions from 7 ongoing, so I also can't use the UWP capturing library.
So I got the driver last night after constantly maxing out my CPU in OBS trying to stream at 1080p60(Ive been streaming at 720p60 since I got the card because of game size on screen), and man what a difference. OBS CPU usage went from around 50% usage to around 30%, so Im extremely grateful for that.
What Im wondering about if someone knows, is what exactly is the difference with this driver compared to the official El Gato one? A 20% drop in usage is pretty big, so Im guessing theres gotta be some kind of process or encoding its completely skipping for this to happen, but Id love to know what the difference is!
Quick question. I recently found the DirectShow drivers for HD60 Pro, but to actually get them I had to find a Reddit post or a blog post. Where on the official site can we find this driver? I can't find it anywhere, but it is hosted there.
For me the DirectShow drivers seem to perform more consistently (in OBS) than the official drivers in regards to video and audio synchronization, hence I'd like to see those drivers being a little easier to find.
This might not be directly RE related, but you are all the top notch imo, so we want to hear what you have to say.
So recently we've been on a kick replaying some old gamecube and ps2 games. Some of these games use DPL2 encoding on their stereo streams. To use this feature you need a receiver with DPL2 decoding which we don't have. It took us awhile, but we came up with something that works using the mic-in on a sound card and a couple pieces of software. more on that posted here.
So my next question is how can we apply the directshow filter to the audio stream of a running program, specifically project64. Looked around in GraphStudio but didn't see anything that uses a program's audio stream as a source. Is something like this even possible with graphstudio? Thanks for your time and input reversers.
Right so i have a setup where on my AFK/Wait screen I have music playing in the background but not on My gaming screen. I have this all working by using;
-virtual audio cable
-windows media player to play the music
-windows outputs the sound to virtual audio cable
-directshow audio plugin in obs detects virtual audio cable in obs and pays music in my scene.
and great this all works fine and the music plays to stream and not into my headphones, but as i go to listen to the stream i find out that the music is playing but is really choppy/laggy? Do you guys have any idea why this could be?
-- I have also noticed if i play sound to my desktop in Directshow audio plugin settings instead of only to stream, then the sound plays fine with no lag?
