I have been on fin/min for three months now. I'm 42 years old.
The first pic is when I started treatment. Second is after a month (pretty big shed). Third is today, three-month mark. I think the progress is decent for three months, and I'm happy so far.
I take 1 mg fin daily, and use min (Rogaine foam) two times a day. Fin and min started on the same day. I have also been using a derma roller (1.55 mm) every two weeks for the past two months. I also use nizoral shampoo a few times a week.
I have not had any side effects from fin, although I had significant night sweats the first two nights (but I'm not sure I can say for certain the fin caused it).
Hi everyone,
Iβm making this post because i donβt see enough success posts as there should be. I feel like i need to show that this stuff really does work well if done in time. I had some pretty decent temple hair loss a few months ago and decided to try Min + dermaroll.
I am 21 years old and saw the early signs of Male pattern baldness. It definitely made me look abit older than i was having a matured hairline already at 21. I took it upon my self to stick with rogaine and try derma rolling and BOY has it worked wonders.
I was skeptical about if it was going to work since Rogaine is only able to work on the scalp as it claims, however it has completely lowered and rejuvenated my hairline. I also do Dermarolling on the temples once a week. With Mint essential oil placed on top afterwards. I did notice some pretty bad shedding and it looked like there was no hope, but i stuck with it and boy has it paid off. Iβm only 3 months in too. Consistency is key! One week you can be shedding and then the end of it you can have some new hairs.
This treatment has completely lowered my hairline and i look like iβm 17 again with it. I will post photos in my next post once i take some good pictures but I wanted to share this with you guys and if you have any questions, let me know!
I am a 36-year-old male. I have been experiencing diffuse thinning since my early 20s, starting at the temples and the crown. Since the start I have used minoxidil. For the past year I have used derma stamp/roller and minoxidil combo. Rogaine for me is a double edge sword. While it does increase my hair density after long steady use, the shedding can get pretty bad.
I have done one experiment before with black castor oil and derma stamping 1.5mm and I did see fair results with that. Increased hair density and vellum hairs. I measured my hairs shed during that time frame and castor oil did drastically reduce the number shed although it seems there was little new terminal hair growth.
Since Nov 30, 2021, I have been on a RU (NO MINOXIDIL) and derma roller 1mm protocol. I derma roll once a week with RU applied. The rest of the week I apply 1 mL of 50mg/mL solution to my scalp at night before bed. I then allow it time to completely dry.
Starting at day 10 I could see results. By day 15 my wife made a comment on my hair looking "fluffier".
Per square cm of scalp, I have had a minimum of 30% vellum to terminal increase. I have taken pictures starting at day one and will continue to every 10 days. I will keep reporting back when I add minoxidil into the equation. I will be posting a cascade of pictures representing the time from start to finish.
To conclude this post, I will say that for me, so far, RU has been worth it. I am trying to approach it's use as objectively as possible. I will definitely say that it has led me to consider that DHT blocking is the first priority and without it other methods may be pointless.
Thank you if you read this far.
And omg what a difference! I got the Revlon face defuzzers from CW (half price at the moment!) and removed all my peachy fuzz. For those who have done this, please tell me itβs true that it doesnβt grow back thicker? π
Guys, does anyone know if the Pac Derma Studio Concealer is discontinued permanently? Or if it's available in offline stores? And if it is discontinued, what is another good pot concealer?
Thanks guys.
Okay ... so the difference is not dramatic. But it is there, I'm like 90% sure I'm not just imagining it. Haha. If you zoom in, there's a lot more little hairs growing around the edge and temples and the center bit has thickened up a little bit too.
I'm pretty happy with this to be honest. Of course everyone hopes to be some kind of freak "super responder", but in the end I'm happy that it's working at all.
It would be nice now if those little hairs would grow thicker and darker.

So I started minox about 5 days ago. Going to start derma-rolling. Just a question before I do. Whatβs the cleaning process? What do I use to clean it and for how long?
Unbelievably, i've seen some decent progress with new hairs to my hairline after using a derma pen, once every 10 days for about 3 months. My question is - how 'permanent' is the progress gained here? I am also on finasteride (almost a year, 3 x a week) so gains could be a result of that as well. Do I need to keep using the derma pen to retain the new hairs?
Thanks
J
