I heard a bit of this guy's music on the radio in France and I liked it.

I'm just wondering how was he perceived in France? Was he considered cool? If you went to one of his gigs in the eighties what age of people would you have found at it?

I can't really place an English language equivalent. Joe Jackson maybe?

edit: I meant to say replies in French are very welcome. I will have fun translating them if I don't understand.

Bonjour à tous, voilà j'ai une licence d'Histoire et je suis en train de faire un master 1 en Histoire et je réalise vraiment que mes études, même si je les respecte, les adore et leur doit énormément en terme de culture générale ,ne mènent à rien du tout. Mon seul avenir serait dans l'éducation, voire la recherche or ni l'un ni l'autre ne m'intéresse. Eventuellement je peux intégrer un master d'école privée l'année prochaine pour faire un master 2 en affaires diplomatiques ou des trucs du genre mais les débouchés sont bien souvent décevants et mal payés ( pour du bac +5 ).

Bref, j'étais en train de jeter un oeil sur le CNED et j'ai vu qu'ils proposaient une formation bts de droit notarial + 3è année de licence pro en droit notarial ( avec un stage en office ) dans le but d'intégrer le marché du travail en tant que clerc/associé de notaire. Sachant qu'avant d'aller en Histoire j'avais fait une L1 de droit que j'avais bien aimée ( j'avais dû stopper pour des questions de sous ) donc le droit ne me rebute pas et je suis plutôt bon en dissertation/commentaires de texte.

Y a t-il des gens parmi vous de ce milieu ou connaissant le milieu qui peuvent m'en parler, me conseiller et me dire si c'est faisable ou une idée très risquée ? Est-ce qu'avec un tel cursus je peux trouver un travail "facilement" en office en tant que clerc/notaire ? Est-ce que je peux évoluer par la suite ?
