A list of puns related to "Chthonian"
1- Which faction is stronger and would have win the battle do you think if our pratagonist didnt intervene the fate?
2- We know that Chthonians and Aetherials are on war witch each other but what about Korvaak? They seem to ignore the Eldritch realm. Is that because their goals are different? Like Korvaak wants the reality which forgotten god expansion is on and dont want cairn?
3- Where forgotten god expansion is happening?
Stygian Waymark

In season 1 episode 2, whenever a cultist is killed by you, it turns into a cultist body that you can loot, but when the Chthonian! Mythos card is drawn and it kills cultists on the path, do we turn those cultists into cultist body or remove them from the board because we didn't technically kill them with our investigators and we would just need to wait for more cultists to spawn?
Can someone please tell me why Chthonian Polymer cannot be used to take control of Lunalight Sabre Dancer?
I had two duel againts Lunalight deck and when they fusion Lunalight Sabre Dancer, there's no option to use Chthonian Polymer.
are there any other fusion summon that Chthonian Polymer cannot take control? maybe Invoked Cocytus?
*) Chthonian Polymer
[ Trap / Normal ]
You can only activate this card when your opponent Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster. Tribute 1 monster on your side of the field to take control of that Fusion Monster.
*) Lunalight Sabre Dancer
Attribute: DARK | Level: 9
[ Beast-Warrior / Fusion ]
3 "Lunalight" monsters
Must be Fusion Summoned. Gains 200 ATK for each Beast-Warrior monster that is banished or in the GYs. Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Fusion Monster you control; it gains 3000 ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Lunalight Sabre Dancer" once per turn.
ATK/ 3000 DEF/ 2600
So, in the Underworld, at least in Second Edition, there are these native beings who are not the formerly-living ghosts, but instead are never-living denizens of the Great Below, called chthonians. Now I could probably think of dozens upon dozens of questions I have about them, especially since I donβt have the Second Edition book yet. But I can be patiently curious with the majority of those questions. However, I really want to know what drives them, or put another way, what they want, if anything.
My only other source on chthonians is Mage: The Awakening, which in 2E says that they used to be classified (by mages) differently than ghosts but no longer, for whatever reason, and that they donβt have Anchors or an Integrity trait. (It also implies that some Kerberoi are ghosts while others are chthonians when I thought they were different from both, but perhaps not.)
In any case, so far Iβm thinking of chthonians are to the Underworld as hobgoblins are to the Hedgeβ the βcommon peopleβ of said otherworldly realm, who are not (necessarily) united by beliefs or a shared society. Is that incorrect? Is there something deeper to chthonians?
So im doing a thing where the baddie cult is doing the bidding of a Chthonian to keep the investigators away from a certain place on a certain mountian. There has been ExtRa SpooOOoooOokY earthquakes in the region lately and im sure there might be one or two when the players get too close. But there are no guidelines to damage or rolls or really exactly what the earthquake attacks really do in the book (other than the Richter scale). Any ideas on how to implicate these earthquake attacks and maybe a rock slide in a way which my players can (barley) survive? thanks for your input, im not so creative with rules.
So I'm running a DDT campaign and my characters are going to be running into a juvenile chthonian, as it relates to the overall plot of my campaign but I don't know how to modify the Adult Chthonian stats in the Keeper rulebook to fit a juvenile form. Any suggestions?
they exist, they visit Gβharne. other than that do you all imagine they do ?
do they hide from us occasionally eating a random person every now and again ?
chthonian
adjective: Of or relating to the under world; subterranean.
adjective: Springing from the earth.
adjective: Designating, or pertaining to, gods or spirits of the underworld; esp., relating to the underworld gods of the Greeks, whose worship is widely considered as more primitive in form than that of the Olympian gods. The characteristics of chthonian worship are propitiatory and magical rites and generalized or euphemistic names of the deities, which are supposed to have been primarily ghosts.
