A list of puns related to "Chordata"
I made the wrote the lyrics and produced the beat by myself. I mixed and mastered the song myself as well. So, I'm looking for feedback about every aspect of it. Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen!
Okay so (in 1.16.5) the ring of chordata gives 5 second buffs to both speed and vision underwater. But the problem with the vision one, is that every 5 seconds the screen goes bright and then when the buff fades it's immediately (slightly) dark again for a fraction of a second before it's bright again. So every 5 seconds the screen brightness sort of flickers. I understand why that's the case so the ring's power is not abused but the flickering is driving me nuts and I wouldn't be surprised if it could potentially cause an epileptic seizure in someone who's photosensitive.
I already have a mod (called FlickerFix) that gets rid of the flickering from the blindness debuff by making it slowly fade out but it doesn't apply to the removal of these buffs.
I believe a better way of implementing this ring's effects would be a 15 second buff with the same fade out style as the other mod i mentioned. Any chance this could be changed in future updates?
I was researching using motion capture with Godot and came across this forum post. It received no replies, so I did a little research on the company, and was intrigued by their vision. (Disclaimer: I backed the Kickstarter.) They advertise a proven, beta tested technology, and an open source license and philosophy, making it the first such project in motion capture.
What was especially encouraging was their mention of Godot as a target engine integration. It seems to me that a robust pairing of open source motion capture with Godot would do volumes for opening up motion capture to independent developers. Motion capture suits, as far as my research has revealed, start somewhere above the 1500 mark, and motion capture studios costing several thousand dollars more. As it stands, the Chordata suit seems to be the most accessible to small sized studios and independents, not to mention the only open sourced project.
I'm posting this to bring attention to the project, and also to field responses to their request for collaboration with the Godot community, which went unanswered in the original forum post.
The most marvelous aspect of
the Siamese Fighting Fish
are is not its numerous flow-of-fin
or the
vibrancy of its scales,
nay, not even its
territoritorial tendencies
serve to stand out.
The most marvelous aspect of
the Siamese Fighting Fish,
you see,
is that it
(like all fish)
must never,
ever stop swimming,
not even for a moment
for fear of drowning and sinking
to the depths of the great blue sea.
The Siamese Fighting Fish knows this
all too well, and so
will never, ever
stop swimming.
