A list of puns related to "Cat Lady"
We're all undatable, hideous harpies according to them, right? That means they wouldn't be interested in us anyway, so why so pressed, scroties? π€£ If obese ugly men had a subreddit dedicated to themselves, I wouldn't give a fuck, 'cause I'm not interested in dating someone like that. They literally foam at the mouth about our posts, but in the same breath they say they know how we all look and are in real life and would neeeeever spare us a second glance. Mhm, sure π
Not to toot my own horn, but I look better than the pickmes I know, not necessarily because they're ugly (they're not) and I'm pretty, but because having high self esteem nourished by FDS makes me take care of myself to the max. Combine that with lack of stress from lvm, which has amazing health and skincare benefits, while a pickme wears herself out in desperation for mediocre dick, I'm getting massages and sleeping in. You can't look after yourself properly while you're a fulltime bangmaid and even contribute at least 50% to the bills on top of that, with the addition of doing 90% of childcare, in some cases.
So yes, scrotes are awfully obsessed with us and what we do here, for someone who thinks we're some vile, repulsive creatures π
*Not MY regret.
I'm in a few Facebook support groups re: mental health issues. A mother posted recently about being triggered into MH meltdowns by her children, wanting to know if this happens to others too.
A number of parents (mostly mothers, unsurprisingly) said that in retrospect having children wasn't the best choice for them...They're really struggling to cope with loud screaming, crying, hitting, fighting, obnoxious teen behaviours, being asked 10,000 questions a day, being touched/needed constantly...etc...Being a parent is causing them severe, adverse reactions.
One said "This isn't the life I should have, but I'm trapped now." Another said "I should have been a Cat lady."
That one really struck me...as a 40ish woman who lives alone with a Cat (you know...the woman people make disparaging jokes about!)
I felt a wave of relief as I read their comments, because if I'd made a different decision I'd be in their position now.
I feel sad for these parents and their kids, who will be affected by having a parent/parents who aren't well equipped for what the job involves (I know about this from a child's perspective.)
Perhaps they didn't think much about what children are actually like and whether they'd enjoy a life with children, or even cope with it...Perhaps they thought it would be different...I don't know.
I thought about it a lot when the time came that I had to. I chose abortion. It was really traumatic for me, but I know that I made the right decision.
I was very much in two minds at the time, even though I'd never actively wanted children- because the pressure to want children is so great for Women...I thought I must want one. I was older so there was the "This is your last chance!" Factor too, the decision weighed heavily on me.
I was seriously considering single motherhood with no partner and few resources (which...in reality, is pretty much my worst nightmare and not something I'd wish on any child! It's amazing how much hormones affect you.)
I have both physical and mental health issues, low energy/stamina and no financial resources or stable home.
I know people who've had kids in similar crappy positions because they had a strong drive to have a child...I've never had that urge so I guess it was easier for me to decide against it.
Obviously I didn't comment on the post with my "I could have been you, I'm so glad I'm not" story!
Reading the comments of regretful parents really clarifies what the path I chose not to take
... keep reading on reddit β‘(CL: Cat Lady, S: Sister)
First time posting on this subreddit, so hello! In my neighborhood, we have this Cat Lady who will do anything to feed the neighborhood cats. Let me explain.
When my family and I first moved into the neighborhood, we immediately saw the house with cats surrounding it, and carved animal statues. We didnβt think anything of it at that time until about a year later. My younger sister was riding her bike around the street, when she reached the corner house (The Cat Ladyβs), our antagonist comes to play.
CL: What are you doing on my sidewalk!
S: Oh Iβm sorry maβam, Iβm just riding my bike.
CL: Get off MY sidewalk before I call the cops on you!
S: Iβm sorry maβam, I didnβt mean to.
CL (Sarcastically): Sure...
I felt really bad about my sister having to run into her like that, mind you the sidewalk is technically the cityβs. About a year later, my sister had gotten a kitten that she had rescued from a bank, it was kinda like her emotional support animal while COVID-19 raged on. However, while my sister was bringing the cat around the neighborhood, she was stopped by the Cat Lady. Cutting it short, she tried to barter with my sister about the cat. She obviously said no.
Fast forward to a year later (2021), and our neighbor caught the Cat Lady TRESPASSING on their yard, placing cat food in the bushes. The guy was a farmer, so heβs used to sticking up for himself. He told her to get off his lawn, she was obviously pissed, so she threw a mini-tantrum.
This just happened 2 days ago, Iβll update if anything else happens.
I have never had cats before the pandemic shut everything down. I didn't even like cats. At all. I have 3 pitbulls and now I have 5 kittens, all siblings/half siblings from a stray (who is now fixed) and I am a caretaker for a colony of about 9 female cats. They are all fixed and the one male who was impregnating them disappeared after a TNR group caught him. I think he has passed.
Question: I feed the cats dry food daily--they get wet food when I find deals at the grocery-- and try to change their water 2x a day. I live in Florida and my home is the only home on a predominantly commercial property street, so bothering the neighbors isn't a problem. As the temperature rises, what would be a good option to control a potential flea problem? I've heard brewers yeast can help with worms. Also any tips on reaching out to cat food companies for assistance?
Thanks!
