This question may not make a ton of sense, so thank you for reading and considering.

Without giving too much away, I work in an institution of higher ed (public) and have been facilitating a campus composting program for several years now. The program is increasingly popular in the community but has some issues with sourcing sufficient labor. I have a hunch that we could experiment with a quasi-cooperative format (where labor is shared among the participants in the program), but we are not able to make a profit since we are working within a public institution.

• Use of novel TTPs to bypass security restrictions within environments including, but not limited to the extraction of virtual machines to determine internal routing configurations.

• Use of a new bespoke downloader we call CEELOADER.

• Abuse of multi-factor authentication leveraging “push” notifications on smartphones

I am a success story in progress. I’ve been actively trading for about 3 years. Made some huge errors (only one catastrophic) and I’ve made up for them with slow, steady gains.

I started day trading after selling CSPs for months, which put me over the $25k threshold. I had been reading your stuff and also u/oneoption by then, and joined the chat room. We have interacted there (I am BFLODave)and I’ve followed your trades.

Long story short I started with $9,000 two years ago just guessing in the dark and following tips from WSB. Learned some hard lessons.

I’m now nearing $50k in my account. It would be higher but I’ve been taking withdrawals to pay down debt.

I made $11k last week on three trades, that were actually pretty conservative, or at least they were carefully considered and entered with confidence and reason. (Swinging ITM calls on AMD, MU, AAPL).

I have done more trades in the last two months than I did in the previous two years and I am now convinced I can do this for regular income.

I do have a tax pro I will ask about this, but it’s possible she will have some preconceived notions about day traders that will be unhelpful.

I want to arm myself w information. Do you or does anyone else here trade through a biz entity for better tax treatment? Can you suggest anything for me to read to learn more about this?

Hi. My wife is a sole trader and runs a photography business offering wedding, newborn and family photography. She only takes photographs. I have recently started to offer wedding videography. I am going to register as being self employed and run a wedding videography business. I will have a separate bank account and issue my own invoices. I could use some help asking the right questions, in preparation for a consultation with a lawyer and an accountant. I have a sense that I'm overlooking something, but I'm not sure what.

Over the last few years, my partner and I have given away various small sums of money (less than $5K, usually much smaller amounts) to different artists & makers to fund various projects in our community. These feel like grants, but for a lack of legal framework. In wanting to formalize a process for these microgrants to continue over time, I've been exploring the benefits of forming a more structured entity. My hope is that doing so would allow recipients to claim the money as a grant as opposed to income. It would also be nice to be able to offer tax deductions to people who donate money to the cause. Obviously the type of organization that comes to mind right away is a 501c structure.

We have no nonprofit administration experience, and I feel very daunted by the administrative overhead and specific requirements that need be met to qualify for tax-exempt status (board of directors, bylaws, etc). Earlier today I was implored by a close friend who works in the nonprofit sector not to meddle in something I didn't understand, which gave me pause. That's why I'm asking here.

We have also considered forming an LLC, but since we aren't going to be profiting from this endeavor, and are really just looking to give small sums away, a priori it seems like it would be unwise and costly to try to do this under a corporate umbrella. I don't know if there are other options that I'm not thinking of, because I don't know enough about this.

Is there another type of organization, or another legally-recognized entity, that would let us go about giving away small grants to individuals & small groups? If not, what kinds of questions or considerations should I be bringing to a lawyer/accountant to go about forming such an entity?

The company I'm contracting with is in Europe said they prefer to pay a legal entity such as an LLC, rather than an individual person due to some rules.. I don't know honestly.

Although I reside in CA (have a physical presence here), I would rather set up an LLC in Delaware or something, and avoid the $800 CA franchise fee as this venture is not going to be making a ton of money. If I create a Delaware LLC, would I need to register in CA as a foreign business entity if my only client is in Europe?.. (see below) wouldn't this be considered foreign commerce rather than intrastate commerce?

Have a question i cant seem to find an answer on. Have a fairly new company and interested in setting up a SEP Contribution for myself. One of the qualifications i read is "worked for your business in at least 3 of the last 5 years". I have myself on payroll, however the entity is not that old.

Does this restriction apply if my business has been opened less then 2 years?

Most vanlife builds use extended length hightop vans with most material comforts even the kitchen sink. Box trucks builds are more niche but they exist... mileage and offroading suffer but they have more space and flat sides making walls easier.

I'm planning a box truck conversion using a used box truck + body, and doing the interior myself. On the used market, I've seen trucks with various combinations of body features for legitimate transport needs, that happen to be desirable for conversions: insulation, passthrough area, cab overhang, side door and step access, swing open doors, ladder access to roof, utility boxes, etc. Used price for cab+body is $XXXX - $XXXXX, 10K is within my comfort zone and there is some choice re. passthroughs and various side/rear door configs, everything else probably is an issue of $$$ or do the job DIY. How good that job will be for a novice... we shall see...

I'm entering vanlife for rent freedom, so total cost and time-to-break-even are always at the forefront... But sometimes you just fantasize... if money was no concern... you know what I mean? I can't be the only one who's customized the highest-tier Mac Pro on apple.com to salivate and gawk at the specs of the $60K monstrosity...

So let's say I BYO truck cab, and got a box custom-made with ALL the accessories... yes, even have them do the superfluous stuff like reflective tape and backup camera. Everything in this pic. I'll do the interior "home" stuff myself, so no floorboarding (that's just excessive), but yes to the insulation... if it's good enough for lobsters it's good enough for me...

What would be a ballpark figure for the cost of something like this?

Would a truck body company even take this order?

I don't want to ask for a quote and be chewed out... hey buddy we're the best in the industry... just made 500 boxes for a multinational corp...
