A list of puns related to "Brainscan"
I'm about halfway through the Brainscan campaign; however, there are some major parts in the final act that I want to modify. Specifically, >!I have a problem with the forced-implantation, everything in the matrix!< aspects. I think they totally kill any kind of player agency, and only one character is even partially hacking-focused.
What I would like are some ideas for alternative challenges and alternative ways to cap of the last adventure. Currently, I'm thinking of something like a series of different types of challenges that culminate with >!injecting Aneki's kill codes directly into Deus' mainframe.!<
I would love any advice from people who have run this campaign, or any other cool Arcology-themed adventures.
Thanks.
After he wakes up alone in the room he and his fellow student-researchers used to test their new scan method, which required him to be put into an artificial coma, he accidentally falls from the exhibit into the lower area which is a natural habitat populated by one tribal group of people, bred to be docile and easily to maintain by the automated systems.
They are also a museum exhibit, showcasing how humans were when they were still a biological species.
These museum events are interrupted by the story of what happened with the original scanned scientist.
This story describes how he one day wakes up staring at some students who hired time on a supercomputer to run a simulation using his scanned brain-data.
The method had killed him and in an effort to prevent the data to be archived and forgotten, they uploaded the brainscan data to the internet, for anyone to find and use.
And the whole story where the digitized person slowly takes over the AI market by creating purpose-build altered versions of himself.
Altering the copy of his own brain to feel happy doing boring manual labor.
Self driving cars, planes, and even soldiers who when world war is about to erupt, rush the battlefield only to shake hands making it clear from that point on that the world is now run by him.
I know so much about this story but I can't get a title from google that looks familiar.

I've heard there was an actual video game that the movie Brainscan was based off of. I haven't been able to find any information about it though. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to play it one day if it's real.
research? fugg it, we'll do it live!
Expected results come out today. Has anyone been accepted or rejected?
I tried searching for brainscan of a former addict who has now recovered from addiction. Couldn't find any. If anyone has any such study, please post the link below.
Director: John Flynn
Violent video games, a banned horror club, and death death death. The 1994 slasher/thriller Brainscan is sure to satisfy your thirst for blood and terror!
Brainscan, released in 1994 and directed by John Flynn, is a tale of true terror befalling an angst-driven teenager named Michael, played by Edward Furlong (Terminator 2: Judgement Day). Filled with plenty of outrageous gore, dismemberment, window watching, and cold-blooded murder, Brainscan is a truly chilling ride from start to finish. After receiving a phone call from his best friend Kyle, played by Jamie Marsh, about a video game called βBrainscanβ, Michael calls 1-800-555-FEAR. Upon answering, he hears a voice describing the game as an interactive experience in terror, and that it can actually interact with your subconscious. The next day his principal bans his horror movie club, effectively ruining his day. Once he gets home he receives his first disc of Brainscan, and a first encounter with the Trickster, played by T. Ryder Smith. From that moment on the roller coaster ride starts for Michael, as well as for the audience.
The directing by John Flynn is superb, it feels cohesive, experienced, and done with heart. The performances are fantastic, Smith absolutely kills it as Trickster. Being threatening and also slightly comical is apparently the perfect combination for a wonderful villain, and he hit that right on the nose. Even while wearing a thick prosthetic on his entire head, and a crazy hairdo, Smith manages to get in your head and cause shivers. Even him doing a silly dance for less than 10 seconds in the film makes your skin crawl. Furlong also delivers a very emotional and strong performance as Michael. Making you want him to actually make it to the end successfully, along with his friends. While being convincingly angry and panicking, Furlong also delivers his lines flawlessly and with true heart. Also credit is due to Jamie Marsh as Kyle and Amy Hargreaves as Michaelβs love interest and next door neighbor Kimberly. Both of them give great performances as supporting roles, as well as Detective Hayden portrayed by Frank Langella.
The kills are bloody, creative, and presented in a unique way for the genre at the time. Graphic dismemberment, and swallowing whole are just 2 of the crazy ways death occurs in this flick. And to tie it all together it has a killer soundtrack featuring tracks from TAD, Butthole Surfers, and Primus.
As a whole the movie is absolutely
... keep reading on reddit β‘Yoo Runeterra comrades! My names garesnap, founder of Brainscans.net. A few of you might know me and my organization, from the Artifact competitive scene. We ran some of the first few public tournaments in Artifact, along with monthly leagues. We also control Underlords Pro, which has been at the forefront of competitive Underlords for the past five months.
I've been playing Runeterra since the first alpha wave, and I'm absolutely addicted, I can't wait for this freaking game. I'm also super interested in hosting tournaments, and if possible hosting a league similar to my Artifact league and Underlords league.
Some things that would be a huge inclusion, for an independent tournament organizer: Proper spectating support, private matches against whoever you want no matter the region, and a big stretch but an in built custom tournament system.
If you're interested in getting involved in a potential Runeterra comp scene, join our Discord, or stay updated by following our Twitter.

Lately I've become curious about how my brain looks. Does it look different? Is there visable damage? Is it normal? Is the amygdala enlarged?
What do you think could be the dangers of this?
I can think of one potential danger: if they find something that corresponds with a symptom and they say it is unfixable, so i stop trying to fix it. But maybe it is in reality fixable.
A lesser danger might be that the scan doesn't correspond with what i feel, and thus invalidate my experience. I'm a rather positive person i think, so it probably won't be a considerable issue for me personally.
If they find major shit and want to medicate me, i guess that can be a good thing. Though i don't want medication really, so I would consult with professionals and users for some time before i potentially dive in.
I think i'm ready for whatever the scan would show. Incurable cancer? I would like to know so i can stop playing life the long game and start playing short term. My brain is going towards dementa/alzheimers? That would be the roughest news i think. I don't know how i would handle that.
I just try to scetch out every outcome. But realisticly i expect to see a normal traumatized brain, some parts being slightly out of proportions. And I'm mostly curious about those proportions really.
And holy shit was that incredible. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good older horror movie that I didnβt find overwhelmingly cheesy (although that can be fun) and had a good time with the storyline. So far this week, Iβve watched Brainscan, The Dark Half, April Fools Day, Nightbreed, and Iβm moving onto Burial Ground.
If anyone else has any suggestions for me, Iβll take them!
I LOVE 80s and 90s horror films like those three. They have atmosphere, mystery and a dreamlike quality that I find far superior to high-brow surrealism.
Please suggest more, and try to keep it within early 70s to late 90s!

I loved this movie growing up I mean it has radical computer entertainment awesome home theatre and gaming gear a cool plot . Trickster and John Connor I mean he practically carried that character right through T2 Pet Semetary and Brainscan. I wanted to see how it held up after all these years and it held up very well. I still love this movie and am trying to locate a copy on bluray asap . My VHS is in rough shape lol
Have you guys seen this and if so what are your thoughts?
