Happy December, loved ones!
It's crazy to think we're heading into the final month of the year already! I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving with friends and family and continue to be thankful and grateful for the abundance of love we all share :) Keep up the positivity!
This week, I'm proud to introduce two new gourmet liquid cultures to the library: Shaggy Mane and Wood Blewit! We still have a few more gourmets going through QC right now and will be introduced later this month. Also, welcome the newest exotic to the library in super limited supply: Gymnopilus Purpuratus! We are currently out of a few of the more popular exotics (Ps. Cyanescens, Pan Cyanescens, Azurescens), but should have these back in stock within the next couple of weeks.

I wanted to ask the paranormal community for help with my haunted house, but I was afraid of Reddit trolls. I tend to trust too easily and felt I wouldnβt have time to sort out which responses were genuine. I figured there must be a dozen other places to tell my story, preferably one kid didnβt use; and indeed, there are.
Out of several search results, I chose Blewit. The description read, βWant Reddit without the misfit trolls? Thatβs us!β It seemed like the typical knockoff that always follows a popular brand. Aside from the blue logo and βkoolβ points instead of βkarmaβ, there was no difference. Just to be safe, I read a few recent posts to gauge the communityβs sincerity. I was very pleased with what I saw; everyone was kind, courteous, and several users claimed to receive helpful guidance. I made an account, joined the b/haunted forums, and told my story.
Below is a copy of my original post, but things have escalated drastically since.
Hi, I am thirty-three, live alone, and have always been a die-hard skeptic. I am a very logical person, I believe in science and facts; that is to say, I donβt come to you lightly. I moved to the country to save money, but Iβve always preferred a quiet life. When I found this big house in the forest for such a low price, I knew there had to be a catch.
I didnβt have extra time or money to spend on major repairs if all the electrical needed to be replaced or it didnβt have central air; thatβs the kind of deal-breaker I expected. Instead, I learned the previous occupants died last year. Martin Hayes murdered his wife and son before committing suicide. I canβt tell you the relief I felt; I struggled not to show my excitement as I negotiated the price even lower.
Three weeks later, I was settled into my new home and loved everything about it. The first two days were quiet, but Friday night, I was on the couch when soft, persistent knocking sounded at the door. It startled me because I donβt have neighbors, and I would have seen headlights had someone come down the driveway.
I stole a glance through the peephole, careful not to make my presence known. It was dark, but not pitch black; I could see well enough to know nothing was there. My heart raced, and I thought it would burst. Trying to find the light switch, I abandoned stealth as my hand fumbled along the wall. Finally, with a soft click, the front steps and driveway were brightly lit.
