A list of puns related to "Asst"

Title pretty self explanatory. Guy is about a decade younger than me and has taught maybe 2 years. He is at most 3 years out of college. I had an internal ticker of the number of times he interrupted me in this 'meeting' and I stopped after 20. Mostly it was a stream of "you just don't understand", eye rolling on his part, and explanations that are done only by someone who genuinely has minimal real class experience.
This snapshot probably summarizes conversation:
Me: "So you want us to modify his work to boost his confidence?"
Him: "Yes! It's the only way to keep him engaged, you should know this."
Me: "Ok, the problem here is the recommended modifications sound like a special education concern. Do other teachers have..."
Him: "No *eye roll* it isn't."
Me: "I'm pretty sure it..."
Him: "{name} you clearly don't understand special education."
Me: "I did it for over a year."
Him: "....Well..."
He sent this email 'thanking' me for taking the time for the meeting and any other feedback would be great. I replied telling him that all his 'insight' means I will be taking time I allocated to help with his pet project is now going to 'reformatting' my classes to his satisfaction. So yeah, it was interesting seeing him trying to backpedal his big brain ideas.
I'm fine being wrong but c'mon, don't make this an adversarial relationship.

Kemba Walker (points-rebounds-assists) since the Derrick Rose injury...
29-6-3 Saturday at Boston
21-8-5 Monday vs. Detroit
44-9-8 tonight vs. Washington
31.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists per game, 5 3's a game on 43%
Knicks lost 124-117 though lmao
With his 44 points coming in a loss tonight, Kemba Walker's teams are now 5-14 (.263) when he scores 40 or more.
That passes Bradley Beal (8-22; .267) for the worst winning percentage in 40-point games in NBA history (min. 10 games).

I've been moving laterally for almost 9 years now and can't get promoted at all. I was promised one by my direct boss and then our employer denied me it almost 11 months later. Im 31 years old and every single one of my friends is promoted (even interns i managed are higher on the ladder than me now) and I can tell they are slowly becoming more distant because of it. I dont have anny experience or skills for other industries that could pay me well so Im really afraid im just screwed and destined for mediocrity. Help please. Any advice?

Title says it all
My assistant manager takes an EVEN split of our tip pool every single shift she works. Her justification is that it's because she "has to do the same work as us sometimes". BULLSHIT. This is directly against federal labor law and form of wage theft. Do not tolerate abusive practices like this, know the law and your rights as a worker and report stuff like this ASAP!
"Under section 3(m)(2)(B) of the FLSA, added by the CAA, βan employer may not keep tips received by its employees for any purposes, including allowing managers or supervisors to keep any portion of employees' tips.β See Div. S., Tit. XII, sec.1201. Section 3(m)(2)(B) applies regardless of whether an employer takes a tip credit."

Hi all, I am planning to apply for lecturer/asst prof positions in the UK, but the faculty salaries seem to be low compared to the ones in the US and some other countries. Most start from 38KΒ£. I dont know whether that is the salary of the lecturer without a phd. Or does the salary change by the university? Thank you!
LeBron James finished with 39 points & 6 assists in the Lakers overtime win vs Pacers on Wednesday.
James got his 395th career game with 30 points & 5 assists; most in NBA history.
The Lakers improve to 4-0 in overtime, the best mark in the league this season.

Iβm making plans to relocate back to Europe within the next two years with my 11-year-old. Luckily in this case I have both USA and Portuguese citizenship. Iβm very organized and have confidence I can manage the inevitable bureaucratic tangles (am familiar) with time. My Portuguese is conversational, I make do with Spanish simply because of my Portuguese, French is rusty. I need to enroll in some classes to get them up to snuff. Which language will depend on which country I land in of course - TBD.
My *main concerns are career but especially salary. Iβve been with a well-known international firm for 20+ years, assisting the same C-suite professional throughout. The company has a European presence but mainly in London. The other cities are practically satellites so I have no realistic expectations of a transfer though it would be ideal.
I am aware I will be exchanging a secure position and generous salary for uncertainty and a big pay cutβ¦.but also returning to a slower pace (even if that means just a proper lunch!), a different culture, planning for my retirement (cost of living, healthcare), my child's college ($$$ to $), and other reasons that matter to me.
Many of the discussions Iβve read about salaries seem to pertain to folks in IT, freelancers, digital nomads, recent graduates starting their careers, and retirees. Iβm none of these β Iβm moving in mid-life with a solid resume, though I recognize my languages need to recover sufficiently to be in the running for a good job.
My question is if I can fill in those deficiencies, can I expect to earn 45,000 (+?) Euros annually, or am I being unrealistic?
The best resource for this is a specialized recruiter and thatβs another step. For now, I wonder if I can ask the group for their thoughts. To narrow things down, I'm vacillating between Porto and Madrid. I understand Portuguese salaries are even lower than in Spain. Paris is not off the table despite the comparable cost of living to NYC - if I can manage an equivalent salary.
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
Hi everyone,
I have recently received offer for two jobs from Service Canada. One is Administrative Assistant and the other one is Payment services officer at call center for EI. I had been in the pools for so long and both opportunities came at the same time. Call center is virtual for now and will be switched to Yonge street and way farther from home and Administrative Assistant is in physical location closer to home. Pay difference is not much. Please help me decide as to which option is a better one to start with the government and better option for long term career. I have to accept either one or the other within the next week. I have seen people over here very helpful and that is why requesting insights.. please and thankyou!!
Thankyou guys !! you are all amazing and so prompt in replying!!
