A list of puns related to "Armature"
"Amateur"
Hey folks just wanted to share my newest experiment. I'm learning how to repair paper and have been working on some MTG cards removing ink and flattening. Wanted to share some of my experiments. This one is where I cooked some cards so i could see the damage that was done to them and at what temp. Hope it helps others. I had been chatting on reddit with some people regarding worries about leaving cards in the car in the summer heat.
Honestly, the results were pretty benign at low temp, but baking your cards at higher temps gives them an interesting look.

Armature pliers for 1/4" doll armature all seem to be in the Β£30-35 range, which is way too expensive for me. Is my armature likely to come in one long strand? Will pliers be necessary, or can I avoid them?
Im thinking of making my first fursuit! I have a huge head, around 59, closer to 60 cm circumference or 23/24". Searched the web and only found styrofoam that are not of my head size and canvas blocks but idk whether they would work.
Any recommendations?
Exactly what the title says.
Cant use the mako to throw geth into the lava on therum or into the sea on virmire = Unplayabale
Asked about a week ago for data on FBT armatures. Making them, adjusting them, their scaling needs/requirements, anything really and so far haven't had anyone offer much of anything.
Iv read and reread the VRC's info docs multiple times, watched several videos, and talked with other creators only to have found very little on this topic.
Having to figure this all out on my own is simply very time consuming and so far most of my experiments in getting various models working in FBT have ended in multiple types of failure. Most commonly being hip tilts, torso tilting, knees bent, legs stretched out, arms over reaching, or compressing flat. But the reason WHY those happens or what their fixes are is different for most models and I just can't figure them all out! Some needs the heads for upper arm bones moved. Some needs the upper legs moved. Hip can be not centered. Hip/Spine/Chest can be out of wack. View point can be too high/low. After trying all of those fixes, some several times over, there are STILL models that fail in FBT for no foreseeable reason!
Iv found no good way to figure anything out so far and mostly just resort to forcing 1 FBT armature onto everything else. But that often forces me to edit the models as well. For a Human model, you can adjust it to be "more human" such as adjusting the long limbs of MMD models. Sounds easy enough, but it simply isn't that easy when problems persist for some unknown reason. And editing the model of a non human, but still rather humanoid, causes its own problems and can ruin the design of a character if edited too much. I have multiple avatars both human and humanoid that "should" work in FBT but simply don't.
Know Im asking for a lot about a topic seemingly almost no one knows anything about. But this is getting to be insanity levels of frustration from not knowing why avatars that should work in FBT break nor knowing how to fix them.
Hi r/monarchism. Long Story Short, I'm trying to find some modern-day sources of pro-monarchism.
I see a lot of anti-monarch, but not the other. I've always had a attachment with monarchism, as my family had very close ties with the former shah of Iran, and I've always liked her majesty the Queen (I'm from the UK) but want to learn more about it from a beginners perspective. Any recommended books, YouTube videos, documentaries, articles etc that I could start with?
Thanks all for this really cool subreddit, and keep the before and after memes up!
My wife has always wanted to join a choir group but does not go to church. Is there a group in town that might take her? She is mid 40s and Asian if that helps... She always loves the choir groups on Americas Got Talent and other shows like that.
Thanks,
I was running my planer hard when it started smoking. I took it apart and found that it looks like the field unit overheated. I know I need to replace the field unit ($80), but what about the armature ($180)? The burnt black marks on the armature are easily buffed off. It looks like the field unit expanded when it overheated.

My character is holding a sign and I have some IK rigs for the arms. The sign is just another object in the scene: a rectangular plane. I would like to position the hands on the sign, then parent the hands to the sign so that I can reposition the sign and the hands will stay stuck to it. How could I achieve this?
