A list of puns related to "Angioma"
Hi! To preface this, I get my moles checked regularly and will be seeing a dermatologist about this, I just want input until I do see one.
I have a mole on my inner left thigh that has concerned me for quite some time. Iβve had it looked at and the dermatologist said it looks fine, but I really donβt think it does. I am covered in atypical moles of all sizes, diameters, shapes, colors, theyβre all funky looking. But this one has changed and seems to have a Cherry angioma in it, if thatβs even possible? Is this something worse than that or is it normal? Is it evolving? I canβt figure out how to attach photos here.
I want to preface this by saying I know there are far worse things in the world, specifically skin growths, than benign cherry angiomas, so I don't want to sound completely off perspective and ungrateful. At least assuming that's what these little red dots are (I haven't asked a doctor yet but I am assuming so), I am grateful they are not more than a cosmetic nuisance. But cosmetic nuisance they are and I hate them. They only started appearing when I turned 34, literally the day after my birthday, and it seems the only cause for them is "age" - ugh. I see them mostly on my stomach/torso now, although I am sure they will be popping up everywhere in the next 40+ yrs. This upsets me.
For those with cherry angiomas, when did you start seeing them and have they gotten worse/more frequent? Have you opted to have them removed? Does that work or does it just leave worse scarring? Is there anything I can do to possibly slow down their occurrence or stop them? Is this just a fact of life and genetics I have to accept, and realize I may never wear a bikini again in my life? I hate that I am so shallow and silly about them - I am sorry - but I sadly am and hopefully this is a safe space to indulge that pettiness. Any advice or recs for treatment would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and my apologies in advance!
Hello all,
Recently my girlfriend went to an eye surgeon to be consulted for lasik. During the process they found bilateral retinal angiomas and are reccomending her to a retinal specialist. Being a nurse, I immediately searched it and came across von hippel-lindau syndrome. I was reading up on statistics on it and found that most patients with VHL have bilateral retinal angiomas. My girlfriend is in otherwise well health, only other condition is she has Factor 5 Leiden. Are bilateral retinal angiomas common at all? Also she has been to eye doctors prior to this, and apparently was never dilated, so I'm not sure if these are a new discovery or a great mishap from her previous ophthalmologist.
Any information is appreciated, I'm very cautious about this because all information I'm finding just sorta links to VHL.
I believe i have one on my nose (going to get it checked out by gp).
If it is i will like to get it removed but curious about the scar left behind.
Has anyone had this done and what has their experience been like?
I have spent a good amount of time researching on this, and it is highly frustrating at the lack of conversation and research. I wanted to post here and hopefully here from a doctor and other redditors about their knowledge and/or experience on this. To be clear, I want to make sure everyone understand this should be about multiple or many cherry angiomas and not just 1 or 2 and specifically about people who developed them at a younger age.
Here is research I found that stated a high significance to cancer and having multiple Cherry angiomas under the age of 50. https://journals.lww.com/melanomaresearch/Abstract/2019/06000/Eruptive_cherry_angiomas_and_skin_melanoma__a.13.aspx
Here is another that says around 95% of cancer patients in the study had "eruptive" cherry angiomas https://www.karger.com/Article/Abstract/511101
These are alarming, as many of us younger adults often get brushed off by doctors / dermatologists being told it is a benign nothing to worry about.
The other confusing thing is the definition around "eruptive" is very loose. Most research articles I have found say over or equal to 10 cherry angiomas in a short period of time. Non definite the short period of time, and or about the sizes of the angiomas. Some people have tiny pin prick ones and some have larger ones.
I assume it is the rareness of younger people developing these and rareness of the cancer in general that research is somewhat sparse. But for those that are younger and are seeing many of these develop and not just one or two, it would great if this reddit post/thread can help provide some answers, reassurance or help understanding the data/research in general.
Hi all
Any place around Melbourne to remove a large quantity of cherry angiomas without paying a fortune? Thanks in advance Dani
For people who have / get cherry angiomas, do they bother you? Do they look bad to you / effect your confidence at all? I've been getting a fair amount of them and I'm only 19
I noticed many red dots appeared on my arm/shoulder/chest/upper back. Im 24 and they were not there last month. Should I be worried? We're talking about at least 15 cherry angioma
So not sure where else to ask for help but I have had a sudden appearance of a bunch of cherry angiomas with more showing up. My doctor did a full blood panel and said everything is fine and these are just hereditary. I know my grandfathers on both sides had lots of these. Iβve always had a couple but all of the sudden thereβs like 60.
Iβve also read stress certain foods and even dry skin can cause them. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Are there any tips things to do to keep them at bay. Appreciate any others that have been through this chiming in even though the doctor says itβs harmless it still freaks me out.
Not sure if it matters but Iβm 38 male spent way to many years in the sun I work outside.
I had an alcohol problem from which I have been sober for a while now after being told that I had elevated liver enzymes. Iβm really young, I stopped drinking completely, and they went back to normal. All my other liver function tests were fine. So, problem solved, right? No, not for me. Since then I canβt stop obsessively looking up symptoms of liver disease, and trying to convince myself that I am somehow dying. Every time I get a pimple or a small red mark like a mosquito bite on my body I spiral into believing itβs a spider angioma or purpura even though they look absolutely nothing alike. In my anxiety I have even convinced myself that I have four different kinds of cancer at different times.

So since a couple of months, I have struggled with an increasing amount of unexplained symptoms. All my blood work came back within the normal ranges but somehow my symptoms have worsened.
My apetite is good but I wake up tired every day. My blood work for infection came back negative for HIV etc., but showed a very high count for Epstein Barr Nuclear Antigen. Also my testosterone was border line low. I started getting symptoms after an unsafe one night stand, have since then tested negative for all stds multiple times. I would love to say my symptoms are anxiety related but my current partner shows similar symptoms. We always had protected sex so I think this could be a virus from the throat? My dr has no clue.
Hello. I'm having a cherry angioma outbreak in arms and trunk. I have really fair skin and previously to the outbreak I had maybe 1-5 of those in trunk/legs before this outbreak and maybe 10-20 of those really small in my arms (in the arms, not in forearms).
Some things that happened prior to the outbreak:- Had sex with some genital contact without protection, multiple times (same person) for some months.
- Had a fever that I think was produced by wine or food intoxication with fish (although I'm not sure) the day after eating in a restaurant. It was like 2 days fever and then it go away. I also experienced a little diarrhea, and neck pain while I had fever. I didn't take any medication, and fever wasn't very high although I had to be in bed until I felt better.
- Had some irritation on penis ~ 2 days after or before the fever, probably balantitis. Red dots, dry glande skin, some pain when erected, the glande looks a bit cracked. The symptoms are not strong so when I went to the urologist he didn't seem anything wrong and I didn't mention the red spots in the skin as I didn't know they were related. He told me I could use some cream with antibiotics, antifungus and corticoids if symptoms got worse. I haven't used it yet because the symptoms are not getting worse although I still have them, because I read corticoids can be bad if you have a fungus infection.
I think it was some days before the fever (2-3) that the red dots, that my dermatologist diagnosed as cherry angioma, started appearning in hundreds in my trunk and arms in a period of a month. Most of them are really tiny but I can easily see them, some of them started tiny and they are a bit larger now. It seems that everyday I have more. They started in my trunk in the left side of it, just below the chest, and for some reason I have more in the left side of the torso (the side of the heart). There's no much difference in which they are distributed in the arms, although most of them are in the arms and less in the forearms.
I'm afraid that they will start appearning on my face or that I have some internal condition that I should worry about. My dermatologist said that I shouldn't worry about this but nobody in my family have something like this, and I think she didn't see the hundreds of tiny cherry angiomas I have, just the big ones. The old members of my family have cherry angiomas but they are a few and big mostly in trunk, and I have hundreds (probably thousands) of them now, that app
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have noticed so many popping out all over my chest, sides, and abdomen in the last week. Like, over 20 of them. I am dealing with symptoms of high histamine too. I am getting hives when I get too warm, eczema all over my back, itchy nose and eyes. Anyone else having new histamine issues? I've never had any type of issue with allergies before covid.
Professional blemish removal product β free of blemishes uses the same blemish removal process that dermatologists use, but the very best things is β when you visit to a dermatologist, as said before, you will have to pay at least $500 but here you are paying only $100, which it too less, but very effective for removing cherry Angioma permanently.
