A list of puns related to "Alchemical"
Saw some discussion about the equations above the headlines, but didn't see anyone talking about the cryptic-looking single frame flashes just before them.
Edit: I posted the more interesting image second in the gallery so itโs not showing in the post. Whoops follow link if youโre looking for the alchemical frame grab.
Hi. I'm nearing 95 slayer and is starting to ponder which gear setup to use at the Hydra.
I've narrowed it down to three setups that I deem viable for me use/get:
I currently have neither Bowfa, blowpipe or 92 mining. I'm only playing on mobile, so blowpipe seems like a much easier grind than CG.
Do you guys have any experience with these setups?
I have all zenyte jewelry, prims and pegs (I have Kourend elite diary), zhasta (and rune crossbow, which I really hope not use, unless anyone thinks its op at hydra).
Thanks!
This theory is incomplete, since I lack some evidence, I'd say this is very close but not a perfect theory.
Nevertheless, I just wanted to share my findings. Let me know your thoughts!

The order of elements we see on the loading screen could correspond to the 7 Stages of Alchemical Transformation :
Calcination : In alchemy this is depicted as the burning of the prima materia into ash. = Fire (Pyro)
Dissolution: The chemical process of dissolution is to take the ashes from calcination and dissolve it in water. = Water (Hydro)
Separation: In this stage, the alchemist separates and filters the products of dissolution. [This is where I couldn't find enough evidence, closest I could find was Anemo Hypostasis description where it's said to have abandoned its old form and undergone transformation] = Anemo (I really wish I could prove it)
Conjunction: Process of combining paradoxical (polar opposite) substances = Electro
Fermentation: Bacteria and other living organisms are introduced to the substance to continue its breakdown. = Dendro
Distillation: Solution is condensed and cooled to reduced temperatures = Cryo
Coagulation: The substance is crystalized into a solid state = Geo
This would have been a perfectly lined up theory except for step 3. Separation seems to have no relation to Anemo, no matter how much I tried to find a link between the two.
That's what debunks this theory as of now. sigh. Anywho, wanted to share nevertheless.
So basically as title says anyone know any books that have this information in struggle to find and google keeps putting up "Normie" results if I can put it like that.
โAlchemy is the science of multiplication and is based upon the natural phenomenon of growth. โNothing from nothing comes,โ is an extremely ancient adage. Alchemy is not the process of making something from nothing; it is the process of increasing and improving that which already exists. If a philosopher were to state that a living man could be made from a stone, the unenlightened would probably exclaim, โImpossible!โ Thus would they reveal their ignorance, for to the wise it is known that in every stone is the seed of man. A philosopher might declare that a universe could be made out of a man, but the foolish would regard this as an impossibility, not realizing that a man is a seed from which a universe may be brought forth.โ
โGod is the โwithinโ and the โwithoutโ of all things. The Supreme One manifests Himself through growth, which is an urge from within outward, a struggle for expression and manifestation. There is no greater miracle in the growing and multiplication of gold by the alchemist than in a tiny mustard seed producing a bush many thousands of times the size of the seed. If a mustard seed produces a hundred thousand times its own size and weight when planted in an entirely different substance (the earth), why should not the seed of gold be multiplied a hundred thousand times by art when that seed is planted in its earth (the base metals) and nourished artificially by the secret process of alchemy?โ
โAlchemy teaches that God is in everything; that He is One Universal Spirit, manifesting through an infinity of forms. God, therefore, is the spiritual seed planted in the dark earth (the material universe). By art it is possible so to grow and expand this seed that the entire universe of substance is tinctured thereby and becomes like unto the seedโpure gold. In the spiritual nature of man this is termed regeneration; in the material body of the elements it is called transmuta-tion. As it is in the spiritual and material universes, so it is in the intellectual world.โ

Okay, so normally I'd just ask my family about this one or just find a guy to look into it myself, but uhhh. I don't really want to introduce my old man to my pot dealer, so here I am asking you OMOs.
Basically, there's this new drug in town (near Boston, not really interested in giving more specifics than that) that the Innocents are getting into. They're getting sold as 'menthol joints' or 'brain freezers' because they're pot doped with some sort of chemical that makes the smoke feel cold and supposedly makes you feel like you should be on one of those galaxy brain memes.
Supposedly. I didn't try them, because when I checked one out with the Sight it was literally frozen over with black ice that had worms crawling around in it. Closer look saw one of the worms stuck in my dealer's teeth. I'm willing to do some stupid shit, but smoking this shit would be pushing it even for me. Still, I bought some, did some basic ID-ing on them and the results came back as strong hostile lean, links to War, Ruins and Prices. I don't know what to make of that beyond that it seems pretty bad news bears.
If anybody has some legit info on what who is making this shit or why, I can pay pretty decently. Especially if you are willing to be paid in drugs, paintings or large carnivores. Post here or DM me I guess.
Hello, I'm one of the few GMs being able to play games in person. On a table. Once a week. With three players. Thats pretty dope.
So, I've run into a little problem. The current adventure has some rewards of different alchemical bombs and scrolls. Usually one or two of fire, frost, tangefoot etc. Now each works slightly differently and requires notes or reminders. Should I ...
Same applies to spells (scrolls) and gear with unique features. How is your prefered way to handle this?
Any Help Is Appreciated.
Inspired by this post by u/whywontyouletmepass on the same topic. This is an expansion of their theory, hopefully shedding some light on the process of Alchemical Transformation and its possible implications. (And maybe earning some chuckles along the way.)
Ahem.
The curtains open, the play begins: In old-time France, sometime between 1340 and 1418, sits a scribe at his desk, surrounded by scrolls and ink and feathers, holding a heavy, red stone. His name is Nicolas Flamel, probably, and heโs an alchemist, possibly, who did what none of his peers could and created the Philosopherโs Stone โ maybe. In truth, Flamel is more legend than man, and though he certainly lived at some point and somewhere, most of his works in alchemy were ascribed to him posthumously.
One of such works, published around 200 years after his supposed death, describes Flamel having had a dream, once, where an Angel appeared to him. This Angel pointed him towards a book, because apparently Godโs book club is branching out now, which Flamel, of course, bought. The book featured seven allegorical pictures seemingly revealing the process of creating the Philosopherโs Stone.
One road trip and a nice jewish guy named Maรฎtre Canches later, Flamel deciphered the pictures as the following steps:
(Personal opinion, but itโs more likely Flamel shamelessly overdosed on copium until he saw Angels than getting any real heavenly book recommendations. r/signoramains would be proud.)
The curtains close, we open up Genshin Impact.exe. After the usual spiel of listening to Aria, staring blankly at the moon we now know is a corpse and walking through the door, weโre greeted with another loading screen. Without night-mode. Fun.
After our retinas have recovered, we see the elements displayed in the following sequence:
PYRO / HYDRO / ANEMO / ELECTRO / DENDRO / CRYO / GEO
Whatโs that? โIโm AR57-60 and burned out?โ Well me too, buddy, but if the Vortex Vanquisher guy managed to hold on long enough to see its rerun then so can you. Anyway!
Before getting into the individual stages to explain how they line up with the order the elements are displayed in the loading screen, I would like to mention that the creation of the Philosopherโs Stone is not limited to the physical transmutation of the me
... keep reading on reddit โกWelcome, weary searchers for the Philosopher's Stone. Tired of doing mental math to figure out how many Alchemist's Fire you can churn out in a week? Tired of searching through 10 different lists to see what alchemical items you can craft that boost Charisma?
Then look no further than the Alchemist's Corner, a compendium of every craftable alchemical item along with auto-calculated crafting times.
This updated version contains additional alchemical items, and a streamlined interface. Enjoy!
Hi, I'm theorycrafting a character for possible upcoming 2e game - Hobgoblin Monk with Alchemist Dedication. I'm thinking about getting Alchemical Scholar as a ancestry feat, but not sure if it gives enough value. So if we're looking at first 3-5 levels - I understand that based on Advanced Alchemy level 1 I can make certain elixirs / bombs etc per day for free, but I can only make level 1 items this way
I can learn other formulae but I can only use them with normal crafting rules, which seems a bit too hard to get some value of. Like - I need to spend (at least) 4 days of downtime to make batch of 4 consumable items + I have to spend money on it. So if the party is in the dungeon crawling situation for a week then I can, basically, forget about crafting any higher level item. Am I missing something?
After you collect all the potions, is there any reason to hold on to the vast array of ingredients youโve accumulated? I know it doesnโt take any weight but itโs a store of money just sitting there
do i have to make a vanilla item filter for this?
Iโm fairly new to studying alchemy, I actually started with going through physics (Feynman lectures) again but Iโve been dipping my toes into alchemical texts.
I read somewhere that alchemy arose because jewelers in Egypt were creating fake gold through chemical processes, most lower class people had never seen gold before close up so having a shiny yellow type metal (copper) was good enough and close enough. There were also other methods, but the one that stood out to me was where a jeweler would burn a metal or powder or stone and the released gas would stain another metal giving it gold like appearances (closer to real gold. So basically, someone saw this and thought if they can make the outside pass as actual gold why canโt they make the inside gold as well, and instead of making it fake gold, they could find a way to make it real impure gold ( think modern day 18K gold ).
In the text they called the gas released the โessenceโ or soul of the material and the material it stained the โbodyโ.
Iโve read my fair share of mental alchemical books which mention a process using these steps and similar words. I think the reason we got new age spiritual alchemy from alchemical texts is because of the change in meaning of words as time went on. Essence is what is contained in the material body that canโt be seen to the eye but can take over another body or โattachโ to it on the outside (chemical reaction).
I hope this isnโt too schizophrenic but iโd like to hear what you guys think.
Shortly after starting OSRS I looked up the moneymaking guide on the wiki and sorted by most profitable methods. At that point the best solo money-making method was hydra, and so I set a goal of getting 95 slayer to build my account using hydra. At first I killed it with the DHL (2k kc), until I could afford the t-bow. I used hydra to t-bow rebuild, and I thoroughly enjoyed that. By ~6000kc my rebuild was over but I decided to continue onto 10k kc since I really do like the boss.
Some interesting events along the journey:
Now that I'm done I'll go explore some other bosses, starting with cerb.
Ok so with Triss and Vessemir having recreated the Witcher Mutagen Iโm guaranteeing that weโre gonna see new Witchers appearing for late S3 or 4.
Not fully trained but I suspect that we might meet another school Witcher in S3 and if Geralt goes back to Kaer Morhen at any point by S4 itโll be Vessemir/Lambert/Coen training a new batch of recruits who survived the Trials.
It just seems FAR too big an option for the show to drop it as a possibility and not pick up on it especially after we lost 1/2 of the Wolf School Witchers present at the keep (there are probably a few more out there who didnโt make it home for Winter that year).
Spoilers ahead:
When viewing Savathรปn from her shadow, her halo and the architecture around her perfectly creates the squared symbol, the alchemical symbol for the Magnum Opus and the Philosopher's stone. The different shapes symbolize Nigredo, Albedo, Citrinitas and Rubedo, different elements necessary in completing the work.
