A list of puns related to "Aeschylus"
I know he was buried in Gela, on the isle of Sicily, and that we have the transcript of his epitaph, but does his tombstone still exist or is his final resting spot known to any more specific degree than that? Even just a general side of town or ancient graveyard stemming from that era?

For sale today are two pens that unfortunately are either slightly too large for my hand (Mythic) or donβt work with my messed up grip style (the Lamy). Both are in great condition. Prices include CONUS shipping; will ship outside elsewhere at cost.
Mythic Aeschylus in Brooksβ βMystic Soul Suckerβ (inked once and cleaned, A2 rating, $175-220 depending on nib or lack thereof)
This pen is so, so beautifulβthe depth of the material is insane, as is the subtle shimmerβand I really wish my hands were ever so slightly larger to grip it more comfortably! This is quite hard to let go, but I just donβt use it due the the aforementioned issue. Save yourself the 6 month+ wait for a Mythic pen and take this pen off my (too small, damn it!) hands. I can ship this pen with any option from a range of nibs:
$175βno nib. $185βJowo M, B, or a Bock 1.1mm stub from Karas that Iβve fit in a Jowo housing. $220βa gloriously smooth B Architect nib from Peyton St. Pens. Bold, broad cross strokes, super fine down strokes; I will happily send a writing sample if need be. Note: I wrote the verification with this nib but, as has been pointed out, I am a side-writer and this flips the stroke widths.
Lamy LX in βRuthenium,β EF (Conservative B condition, no visible scratching/other damage, $35)
Though I wish I could sustain a strong tripod grip like this pen wants me to, alas I cannot. May someone more worthy assume the mantle of this nice every day pen. Includes the appropriate Lamy converter.

Selling several pens that just donβt fit my hand well (Mythic, Lamy), or I donβt reach for (it deserves love elsewhere!βthe FC 03). All in excellent condition or totally unused in the case of the Mythic. CONUS shipping included for all purchases over $100βso everything except the Lamy unless you want to bundleβand Iβm happy to ship outside of the US at cost to the buyer.
SOLD Mythic Aeschylus in Carson IV, Jowo M nib, $185
Brand new (A1)βI bought this with another Aeschylus I sold about a week ago and unfortunately the size of the pen just doesnβt fit my hand well. Itβs probably the prettiest resin Iβve ever seen, dark green with swirls of gold and reds and purples and copper; every time I take pictures to post it for sale I end up unable to bring myself to actually post it! Save yourself the 8 months or so of waiting for a Mythic order and get this gorgeous pen at cost from me so I can stop wishing my hands were slightly larger.
SOLD Franklin Christoph Model 03 Iterum in Smoke and Maroon, black FC EF nib, $130
Conservative (B) conditionβIβve put it through its paces in terms of use but it looks immaculate. The black FC nib is brand new, unused. The resin on this one is more subtle than the Mythic but beautifulβthere is a depth to the material, with dark silver ripples, that truly cannot be captured with a camera. Buy it and see what Iβm talking about!
Note: I can also put a 1.1 Stub or B nib (both Karas nibs switched to Jowo housings) on either of the above pens, just ask.
SOLD Lamy LX in Ruthenium, EF, $25 (+ shipping unless bundling)
A classic workhorse pen. In great but used (B) condition; in classic Lamy fashion, the EF writes more like a western fine to medium.
Better than Black Friday deals! All will be cleaned before shipping. Of course, all monies via PayPal G&S. I am happy to provide additional pictures to interested parties.
SOLD PG Imperial Black: A2 rating M nib, box and converter included, a really distinguished matte black finish on the body blends nicely with the dark accents of the trim and nib $200
SOLD PG Cocktail Mojito: A2 rating, M nib, converter included. Really a difficult pen to photograph as the body has a really nice sparkle throughout, more subtle and a nice touch. The dark green finial and end cap really pull it together. I used a nice dark green ink, in my opinion, a great combination. $180
SOLD 1911L Trinity: A2 rating M nib, box and converter included, a glossy black finish that compliments the dark trim and nib. $175
SOLD Mythic Aeschylus: Not sure how to rate this as there is no nib, but the body is in flawless condition. I would conservatively rate it a B to be on the safest side. NO NIB. I found I didn't like the fixed nib so I removed it and seem to have misplaced it. Converter included, the body is PM1 and is absolutely beautiful. $100
Hello!
I recently discussed the Cassandra myth on r/GreekMythology and u/Otototototototoi shared their interpretation with me. Since neither of us has enough experience to interpret the original Greek, we'd like to hear your thoughts on what exactly Aeschylus wanted to convey in this passage. I am copying Otototototototoi's comment for you below:
> It is from Aeschylus's Agamemnon, where Cassandra explains to the chorus what happened, I am not sure if I am misinterpreting the translation, some translations are censored but others are more graphic. She compares him to a wrestler breathing on her (and I am imagining a wrestler being naked since it's Ancient Greece), and when the chorus asks if she got a child from it she says she changed her mind at the last moment.
> αΌΞ»Ξ»αΎ½ αΌ¦Ξ½ ΟαλαιΟΟα½΄Ο ΞΊΞ¬ΟΟαΎ½ αΌΞΌΞΏα½Ά ΟΞ½ΞΟΞ½ ΟΞ¬ΟΞΉΞ½ is where she compares him to a wrestler.

Does the original text imply that Apollon and Cassandra actually were in the middle of "consumating the rites of marriage" before she stopped him? Is the text invoking an erotic scene? Was her main intention to just not get pregnant?
Thank you for your insight!
[B] Aeschylus XL model by Mythic Pen Company. The Ocean Breeze blank is by Jonathan Brooks is mostly blue with some orange colorway and slightly shimmery. It features a M Jowo #6 nib.
Iβm rating it conservatively because Iβve held onto this pen for a while but I actually only filled up the pen once. There are no noticeable scratches or dings on the pen. Following the rather unfortunate Jowo cracked housings incident, I checked the nib housing and replaced it with a replacement casing provided by Meisternibs.
The pen comes with a converter, a leather pen case by Night Heron, and its original box.
I am asking for $160 shipped.
SOLD [B+] Galen Leather Slim A5 notebook cover
This is the Crazy Horse Forest Green version. So the story behind this is that I bought it to get into the Hobonichi journaling stuff but found out that the Hobonichi journal is not for me. I bought the cover in early 2021 and it basically just sat on my tea table all year. I think itβs time to give it a new home.
It will come in its original box with the goods (the bag of tea/hot chocolate and magic eye) and the manufacture certification paper.
I am asking for 35 shipped.
This one is really in pristine condition, B+ because it was used for one converter fill and then stored in plush pen case, D because the nib isn't original. Will come with converter, box, F-C zipper pouch
I originally paid $225 for the pen plus something for the extra section, so the price drop I figure accounts for the fact that it's custom in a particular style, and the condition. C cond. because there is a small bit of staining from eyedroppering at the bottom part of the ink window, shown in album. Not really noticeable through the pen. Other than that no scratches or anything.
Highly recommend eyedroppering this one! Looks great with the ink window
Will come with box, extra section (both threaded for Jowo #6), and likely the leather pen sleeve it came with.
I have an EF nib and a B nib (both unbranded), first come first serve, choose which you would like!
I'm selling these because even though I like them, I don't reach for them enough. Paypal G&S only, comment below before PMing. Thanks for looking!
Yet though a man gets many wounds in breast,
He dieth not, unless the appointed time,
The limit of his life's span, coincide;
Nor does the man who by the hearth at home
Sits still, escape the doom that Fate decrees.
