Nikita hire me balace dev ))))))))))
Today I would like to present an idea for a mechanic to be added that could change some morphine and Gold Star addict's lives. I've thought about this type of mechanic for quite a while. I have been playing since Alpha (static spawns, no map expansions, no healing animations), and think this could solve a couple of problems/oddities within the game. This of course while staying within the direction Nikita and his dev team seem to be taking the game. More recently, all the changes to slow down game-play and prolong the early/mid game expirience.
I've gone over many iterations of this in my head. Trying to refine the idea down and add nuances to prevent exploitation. My thought process went as follows:
--(2 years ago) Recoil is very hard in this game, better tap fire.
--Oh tap firing doesn't work up close at all, need to have Full auto.
--Oh full auto isnt very good when my I get my frames halved by blur effect and my guy is flinching from every shotgun pellet hitting my class 4 armor, oh and my leg is broken
--Seems that having pain killers on 24/7 COMPLETELY CHEESES all of the mechanics meant to make you at disadvantage if you get shot first. That isnt very dynamic, but ill do it.
--they talked about addiction mechanic, so I should probably learn to play with less pain killers
--Man some non-meta guns are nearly unusable in CQB mid-late wipe because of fire rate combined with recoil (AKM, AK74s) if i dont wanna full meta-out everything on it and be high. (I understand this was mostly remedied this patch, and I love it)
--(1 year ago) I seem to suck and never pain killer at right time, and just lose all my water
Why not negate the need to literally be high 24/7 in game (like how a lot of streamers/chads play) but you still have the option/need to use them after an initial fight breaks out?
"Fight or Flight" --
So my story began when I was 18 (26 now) I was always a natural UK size 6. And suddenly I was a textbook case of cushings by looking at me. But it took 18 months to find out the cause of my weight gain, mental health and symptoms because my local doctor didnβt have a clue what cushings was till I googled it and presented it to him.
My tests were straightforward (pituitary tumour 5mm) and I had pituitary surgery. I lost five stone in less than a year it was amazing. I had a new found confidence, I felt beautiful again. But then just as I was enjoying life again my tumour came back. Only, because the weight wasnβt immediate it was damn hard getting an Endo to believe it was back. My second diagnosis took 1 painful suicidal year of trying to get help, I felt like a ticking time bomb. Long story short eventually after many normal 24 hour ruined and blood tests I got two highs and they agreed to go back in for another pituitary surgery. Again within months I lost the weight and I was back to feeling beautiful, I was active and loving my life again. Then youβve guessed it, the symptoms came back again. And the third time was the hardest, this was when I really considered killing myself believing Iβd be stuck with this awful disease forever. This diagnosis also took about 18 months because the symptoms came so slowly and again it was very hard to catch a high. So when they did catch a high, I said damn it, take my adrenal glands I never want to have Cushings again. I was terrified of replacing Cushings disease for addisons and feared adrenal crisis. But I had my adrenal glands removed in 2019 and although this time I didnβt loose all the weight, Iβve managed to finally secure a career, relationship and Iβm fitter than I have ever been, I actually have energy to go to the gym 4x a week!
Please remember when reading this every Cushings patient is different and my story will be different to yours, but if thereβs any questions from this (I realise I left a lot of detail out here) please let me know. Iβm no doctor but Iβve battled this thing three times and know a lot about it β€οΈ
For those who have healed, do your adrenal glands and cortisol levels fix themselves through recovery? If so, how long does it take? I'm assuming mine have been affected as I suffer from fatigue and find myself nodding off at random times during the day. My sleep isn't 100% either as I typically manage around 4 hours uninterrupted. Just wondering how it all works as I wouldn't want any additional complications on top of tsw.
Hello everyone. Let me start by saying that i'm not sure what I want to achieve with the post but I guess that i'm looking for a place to talk to people who've had similar experiences with this type of cancer.
So a while ago I (35M) went to my family doctor with some random discomfort around my liver area and thinking it was some leftover pain from the removal of my gallbladder back in June, I didn't take it that serious. But my doctor did not trust the situation and referred me to the hospital. After numerous scans the specialists concluded it to be a tumor in my adrenal gland which had ballooned to about 10cm(4inches). After waiting some time for a surgery date, the whole organ was successfully removed give or take 3 months ago.
After the surgery they were quite sure it would turn out to be benign but to everyone's surprise it was actually a Ewing Sarcoma. All i've been hearing since then is how rare and aggressive it is, and that it rarely forms in the adrenal gland (lucky me?). But the surgeons were confident that they removed all of it since the organ was still in tact and the cancer was encapsulated inside. After that news I was pretty happy and confident it would be over.
Sadly the rollercoaster didn't end there... a few days ago I learned that even though they are "pretty sure" the cancer is gone (PET-CT scan showed no sign of metastasis) I will still be transferred to a new hospital where i'll start my first of 14 rounds of chemotherapy with additional radiotherapy.
I totally appreciate how they're throwing everything at it to make sure it doesn't come back anywhere else, but I'm struggling with the idea of having (at least) 28 weeks of chemo and the impact it will have on myself and son/wife because we're pretty mentally drained already so yeah... curious how all of you are dealing with it/dealt with this.
if this post violates a rule I apologise beforehand.
Hi everyone, I have a cute chihuahua named Cookie who is 15 years old. Her favorite activities are sleeping and cuddling.
She has been diagnosed with a tumor in her adrenal gland and will require surgery to remove it. She is in critical condition where her adrenal gland has a tumor and is overproducing steroids which makes her liver overly enlarged and causes her to have difficulty breathing and walking.
She is currently staying overnight at the emergency animal hospital referred by her vet.
The entirety of funds will be used to cover the costs of her surgery, tests, medicine, hospital stay, aftercare and rehabilitation.
She has brought so much joy into our lives and we just want to save her. We would greatly appreciate any help to improve her quality of life.
Thank you so much for any donations, prayers and sharing! β€οΈ
Hi all. New poster, and not sure if I am in the right place.
I was reading up on the (controversial?) subject of Adrenal Fatigue, and I am interested in trying a supplement for Adrenal Gland support. When I Brave search or Google search for "supplements for adrenal gland support", or similar, I come across pages with lists of specific daily nutrients (i.e., Vitamin C, L-Tyrosine, Holy Basil, Ashwagandha ...) but I was looking more for an all-encompassing, but fairly affordable BRAND of supplement I could take. I've looked on Amazon as well, but not sure which would be best.
Does anyone have any experience with such supplements? Thanks.
Something I have noticed before but only remembered when screwing around with an Empire save earlier: the Kir'ko Adrenal Response Gland mod has a final weird bonus when triggered; your attacks gain Massive Impact.
This isn't mentioned in the mod description itself but it consistently works, I've tried it on the Engulfer and the Apex and other units, once you take damage all your attacks jump up to the Massive Impact tier and its listed in their profile.
Works on melee and ranged attacks, unless its a bug and its just me. Or does the Enraged status have something in its book of knowledge entry I didn't read?
