A list of puns related to "Yuna Kim"
The recent clip of Yuna's Bond short program made me go back and watch all the old Yuna and Mao programs, and wow, I really miss that era. I feel like artistically speaking their programs all mesmerize me so much more than the ladies programs of recent years. Their step sequences were all incredible especially Mao goddamn and never felt stagnant. I don't know what it exactly is about their skating that makes me feel this way but dang it makes me nostalgic for some reason!
I've read different stories over the years about how Yuna Kim doesn't like skating and I was wondering if anyone knew the full story/background behind it? Things I have read include how she never enjoyed competing and wanted to retire after 2010 but was basically forced to continue until after Sochi. Another thing I've read about her since retirement is that she doesn't even skate for fun in her free time and rarely performs in shows
Does anyone know if any of this is true and what the full story is??
This is their 5th endorsement deal since Next Level era started. They are now the face of makeup brand Clio, clothing brand Eider, skincare brand Mediheal, the game Eternal Return and now KB Kookmin Bank.
Hopefully their next CF deal will be a ramen/chicken one lol
Iβve just gotten into figure skating this past year during lockdown and was reallt drawn in by Anna Shcherbakova and Sasha Trusova. Being really bored in the off season, I started looking at past skaters and came across that Yuna Kim and Mao Asada were the dominant skaters before the Russian wave of womens skaters. However, I donβt really get their appeal that much β what made them so special? I saw a few of their programs and they didnβt stick out to me really. Ive see a lot of people say that they miss the era of figure skating with them in it and wonder why. But Iβm not sure even if I know what to look for in figure skating bc im such a noob
Edit: I dont mean to throw any negativity towards these skaters! If anything this is a βhelp me appreciateβ post

Could you analyze, from your point of view, what do you see the strength of the three strongest singles in the world at the moment - Yuna Kim, Carolina Costner and Mao Asada?
Well, who am I to analyze their skating?
The coach who's going to fight these sportswomen isn't it like that?
Well... to some extent that's what it is. I like Yuna Kim for a lot of qualities. By the way she jumps, starting the first jump of the cascade on the blue line and ending at the side. She has great transitions - connecting steps. She's very beautiful, with a beautiful, I would say, feeling of pose. Knows exactly how to make a gesture, how to look. For me, it's definitely number one now. No other sportswoman, in my opinion, is distinguished by such a wide set of champion qualities.
Costner?
Amazing figure skater. When you watch her ride "live," you forgive her everything. Because she's always in the "image." And I'm so sure she's the best and most beautiful that you start believing it with her. She keeps the hall with it all the time. This magic disappears on the TV screen. It immediately becomes noticeable, for example, that Costner has no transitions from element to element at all. On superelevation, Carolina gains momentum very powerfully, and then rolls the whole line on two legs, alternating her hands. And the cascade jumps not from the blue line, like Yuna Kim, but almost at the side.
If it hadn't been Kostner who had done all this, but any other figure skater, I think she would have been punished ruthlessly. But Carolina is forgiven. Perhaps because she got into "new" figure skating in a sense from previous times. Changing the technique of jumping in such a situation is extremely difficult. Plus, it's the huge speed that Costner supports from the beginning to the end of the program. On the other hand, if Carolina had taken more difficult steps between jumps, it is not a fact that she would have managed to maintain this speed.
What does Assad take?
First of all, it's easy. You can never see that she's tired. Even in the tracks where everyone gets tired by the end, Assada seems to be gaining momentum. But she certainly doesn't have the speed and power of Costner and Yuna Kim.
Why is she jumping tri
Have theyβve ever done a quad? Would they be able to do quad and place on the podium?
