A list of puns related to "Wyatt Earp (film)"
Title pretty much sums it up but to me Wyatt Earp told a much broader story than the action packed action flick that is Tombstone. I like Tombstone but for me Wyatt Earp is the far superior film. And to further dig my hole I will go out on a limb and also say that Dennis Quaid's take on Doc Holliday is better than Val Kilmer's. Val Kilmer is the man and Real Genius/Top Secret/The Doors hold a special place in my heart.
Anyway, there it is. Rip me apart.
I was browsing wikipedia pages of random people who lived in the late 1800s in the US and skirted the edges of the law, and I realized that Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday have far longer wikipedia pages than Billy the Kid, Butch Cassidy, and the Sundance Kid, which I recognize isn't a perfect proxy for how famous people are, but it tends to be somewhat correlated. The order by length of wikipedia article goes
Wyatt Earp β Doc Holliday > Billy the Kid >> Butch Cassidy >> the Sundance Kid,
But I hadn't even heard of them until like yesterday, and I had only barely heard of Billy the Kid either, and I don't really know anything about Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid either, except having definitely heard those names before, so I was wondering if I'm the outlier? Are Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday people most Americans would have heard of?
Do you think most Americans would know who Billy the Kid, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were?
Kill Bill, Hateful 8, and OUATIH, his characters are all sporting cowboy hats. The latter two make sense because ones a western and one features a tv western. Though the hat was his choice in Kill Bill, with Tarantino specifically writing a part in the script for him to take it off. I just think itβs funny like it was curse that he turned down Pulp Fiction or something.
I can't seem to find any information about them together. I'm guessing they never had any major run-ins, as that would be pretty epic and well documented im sure, but I just thought it would be cool to even find out what Wyatt Earp thought of Jesse James & The James-Younger Gang or if he ever spoke about them. Any input is greatly appreciated!
Y'all come back now, ya' here!
Noticed that Middsy doesn't have his own flair.
Also can we just appreciate that aside from Optimus Reim this man's mustache might be the hardest-working member of the Sharks team right now? That thing should have it's own zip code!
Just watched The Law Must be Fair episode. I didn't recognize Fletcher but I was startled by her looks. What a beauty! And her eyes! It's in black and white, obvie, but her eyes were very unusual. Checked the IMDB and there was the answer. Found out she took time off to raise her kids. This was in 1960, the show I mean, and she returned to work in 1974. I wonder how big a star she would have been had she not left the scene for those years?
Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, 6th season. Only 5 more episodes to go.
Wyatt Earp died in January 1929, two months after the premiere of Steamboat Willie, the first publicly shown Mickey Mouse short.
