A list of puns related to "William Stryker"
In xmen origins: Wolverine, Silverfox makes william stryker walk forever (which we assume he dies). But then he comes back in xmen 2.

Updating my original sale post to add two pieces I picked up during spring 2 that didnβt work for me. Both were tried on once and then put pack in their included dust bags and set aside. I will leave them posted till Thursday and listen to any reasonable offers but will just return them afterwords (trying to avoid store credit over just getting cash back). I have included timestamp pics and can take more or answer any questions. Still looking to sell or trade my Kith Lucky Charms hoodie as well. I will leave the original included text but have marked down the price again and for the final time in hopes to get a smaller size. Thanks so much!
Original sale post text: I bought the hoodie a couple weeks ago and am in love with the hoodie itself but after trying it on, it runs too big for my liking (fits like an XL). I would love to trade for a medium or find it a lovely new home otherwise. It includes the tags, dust bag and collectors box.
For reference I paid 210 for it and the box has a couple slight creases but nothing major. I sell a lot of things on Reddit and have good sale history and references as well as Mercari and Offerup.
Just watched Shawshank redemption for the first time (I know) great movie but the warden character reminded me so much of Stryker in God loves man kills with his religious convictions, and corrupt prison guards. Makes me think a version of him could work in a future film. project (maybe a little dark for the mcu but like a Netflix spinoff or something)
In the fantastic story "God Loves, Man Kills" we meet William Stryker a leader of the Purifiers, a religious group who believe that it is God's will to kill mutants as they are a sort of abomination in his sight.
Nightcrawler (as everyone may know) is quite the opposite. He's a devout catholic and believes that it is God who has sort of led him to help create peace between humans and mutants.
What would a conversation between the two look like assuming they don't get into a fight to anything?
EDIT: Earth-616
I don't think they dropped the headmaster's name, but his character depiction seemed oddly close to the comic book version of William Stryker. There was a theory that who this character was suppose to be so I was looking for hint drops. I knew they might not be able to called him William Stryker because that character already was being used in Colonel Stryker, but I was expecting them to Call him Rev. Billy Stryker or just Rev. Stryker and Deadpool pointing out on the name and asking him if he was related to William Stryker or something. Like if he was suppose to be William Stryker Deadpool would have made a joke about that witch kind of debunks the theory.
Win condition is capture or death.
The target doesnβt know anything about CP. Stryker has all his usual connections and info to assist CP in prepping to capture or kill the X-men of their choosing.
Who is the strongest X-men a Stryker mind controlled Captain Planet can defeat?
In X-Men First Class Charles Xavier hits on a young girl who bears the "Heterochromia" gene. A "groovy mutation" he refers to it as.
Cut to years later, an Older Xavier trapped in the base below Alkalai lake by the anti mutant Militant known as William Stryker.
In his plan to manipulate his prisoner into aiding him, Stryker wheels in another person in a wheelchair into the room.
Xavier knows this person. "My God, this is your son." he says. Stryker replies saying it is not his "son" and that his "son is dead."
It is clear with one look from this individual that is a shell of it's former being, a monster- skin infused with wire- skin, brain tissue cut into and operated upon- twisted and molded into what William Stryker saw fit.
The strange thing is, when Jason set into action, and delves into Xaviers mind- he appears to him as a young girl. She guides him through his own mind trying to find the secret to Cerebro but the only thing that stays constant are her Green and Blue eyes. It's clear that the little girl isn't just acting on her fathers behalf but also out of fear. She is doing it to protect herself from the terrible fate her father may hold for her if she dissapoints him. She even cries as Storm begins to freeze out the room they are in "Father is going to be so angry!" We have a middle aged man, a bit younger than Charles appearing in his headspace, eyes intact- a clear give away if it was a disguise- appearing as a young girl of all things.
I believe Stryker's unnaceptance of his "Son" extended far beyond his mutant powers. Perhaps born intersexual or female- Stryker along with wanting a boy (a non mutant one at that) had gone to great and extreme lengths to control and alter his child to be only what he saw fit and to satisfy his own ends. This was only another step along that path. The only thing that couldn't be changed was those green and blue eyes the mutation, the Heterochromia gene.
The fight takes place in the aftermath of the battle of New York when the city is destroyed. Both of the teams have a week to prepare, plan, get to know each other, and strategize.
The version of the heroes is their most recent appearance (Besides Old cap) So no time stone for strange, no celestial powers for star lord, etc.
Also, I'm not adding Galactus from Rise of the Silver Surfer but do you think all of the heroes could beat that Galactus?
Who lives? Who dies? Which team wins?

#God Loves, Man Kills
A team of brave men and women who protect a world that fears and hates them. For decades, the X-Men have put their lives and reputations on the line to fight for peace and equality between mutants and the rest of humanity. The founder of the X-Men, Professor Charles Xavier, made it his life's work to achieve a society where people who were born with "mutations" (or "gifts") could live peacefully among those who weren't, without the fear of being oppressed or discriminated against. Mutants didn't choose to be born different; while some were given fantastical powers (such as the ability to control the weather, others were saddled with permanent handicaps or different physical appearances. And some were born with the ability to poop ice cream.
Living in a world that's already populated with humans who get immense amount of power from radioactive arachnids, cosmic rays, alien technology, or obscene amounts of wealth, the X-Men fight not only to stop humans from oppressing mutants, but also mutants who seek to commit atrocities against innocent humans. This is a franchise that is brimming with rich stories and a hugely loyal fanbase, and that fight against prejudice is baked deeply into its core. A story about the X-Men is not an X-Men story if it doesn't deal with oppression, identity, and the act of "othering". It's no surprise that adaptations such as the 1992 animated series and the Fox movie franchise wasted little time putting those themes at the forefront.
But the X-Men's greatest defeat didn't come at the hands of dangerous foes like Magneto, Apocalypse, or Mr. Sinister. It didn't come from bigoted humans like Bolivar Trask, Senator Robert Kelly, or William Stryker. Nor it did come from Cyclops and Wolverine in-fighting, or that weird time Marvel tried to commit mutant genocide via the Inhumans (that's a drama post for another day, I swear). No, the X-Men's most humilia

So I was reading an article on CBR talking about how Marvel should use the Netflix short film βFirebaseβ as a template when creating future X-Men projects, and it gave me an idea for how to fix βX-Men Origins: Wolverineβ. Here is the original article for context:
https://www.cbr.com/netflix-better-xmen-story-marvel-oats-studios-firebase/
For those of you who havenβt seen βFirebaseβ, the film is set during the events of the Vietnam War and follows the exploits of an American soldier who has been tasked with hunting down and killing a mysterious powerful entity that has been attacking US/Viet Cong soldiers and is known only as βthe River Godβ. It is later revealed that the River God was once an ordinary Vietnamese fisherman whose wife and children were killed in an attack on his village. Overcome with grief, the fisherman gained the ability to warp reality and space time as well as reanimate the dead, and now uses his powers to rain havoc on both the US and the Viet Cong soldiers.
With that in mind, my approach to fixing βX-Men Origins: Wolverineβ would entail taking cues from βFirebaseβ as well as βApocalypse Nowβ and βPlatoonβ and setting the film entirely during the events of the Vietnam War. Like Captain Willard in βApocalypse Nowβ and Sergeant Hines in βFirebaseβ, Wolverine will be depicted as a US soldier who is tasked by his superior officer: Colonel William Stryker, with hunting down and killing a mutant similar to the character of the River God in βFirebaseβ. For the purposes of this fix, there is a character in the comics named the Adversary who shares a number of similar abilities with the River God that can either be used as a substitute for the River God or a template for a new character that fills the same role as the River God in βFirebaseβ. Like Colonel Kurtz in βApocalypse Nowβ, the Adversary is using an army of A) native Vietnamese who worship him as a demigod, or B) reanimated soldiers, to wage guerrilla warfare on the US and the Viet Cong in revenge for their involvement in the attack that resulted in the deaths of his wife and children as well as the manifestation of his mutant abilities.
As mentioned beforehand, Wolverine is recruited by Colonel Stryker to hunt down and kill the Adversary. If you want to expand upon Wolverineβs past with Stryker as explored in βX2β, then you could write it in which Stryker grafts adamantium onto Wolverineβs skeleton in preparation for his mission to assassinate the Adversary. Wolverine is accompan

I have been creating rewrites of the original X-Men movies, and you can read the rewrites I had for the first three X-Men movies of the original trilogy if you haven't yet if you want to catch up:
So now with the past rewrites of X-Men 1, X2, and X-Men 3 completed, It is time for me to take a shot at how The Dark Phoenix storyline could have been adapted in the original X-Men trilogy:
I think God loves man kills is just as important and should be required read as watchmen or dark knight returns. Probably not a fresh take. And it would definitely be banned and labeled "critical race theory" by racists and morons but nevertheless it's important. And it seems to lay the groundwork for house of x powers of x. Reverend Stryker is such a terrifying menace because he is basically real. There is no man named William Stryker but there are a million William Strykers with power in this country and world. He uses the word of God to condemn mutants as an affront but like cyclops says, who is he to have more authority on God than anyone else? Mutants are natural but more important they are human. In the famous panel "you dare call that thing human" when he points to nightcrawler, his point is clear. Humanity to Stryker is just another version of whiteness. Anything deviant is labeled the other, or jewish, or black and must be banished for the preservation of what is "normal and good". And Stryker being a reverend is so important and it sucks that the movie x2 xmen united changed it. His spirituality does not make him more of an authority over God or morality. This lesson is sorely needed in America. Also Stryker denies any responsibility for the children lynched at the beginning despite his rhetoric and I am reminded of donald trump and all the hate crimes and white supremacist violence he inspired, especially Jan 6. Political rhetoric leads to violence when the goal is violence, and that is why the xmen are needed and why magneto is also right. He should not be a mutant dictator, but Stryker and racists like him will not let mutants live. And peaceful talk in the "marketplace of ideas" will do nothing abput it. The politician who turns out to be a mutant says the president desires to hear out Stryker but that is dangerous. His words can convince like a cult. The xmen need to resort to violence to protect mutants because no one else will.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
