A list of puns related to "Will Wright (game designer)"
My coworker Jake Soloman once asked me point blank, βWhatβs your guilty pleasure?β It should be mentioned that he did this on stage in front of a few hundred people, which is not usually the ideal place to unburden your soul.
Fortunately, the answer came easily. βExcess,β I told him with a pained smile.
The drawback of being able to isolate the interesting part of any given thing is that you are constantly interested by every given thing. I routinely find myself stumbling into new hobbies almost by accident, and as with my work life, I seem incapable of doing anything halfheartedly.
As an example, I like to play the guitar. I know a fair number of chords, and when Iβm playing music with friends Iβll occasionally hand over the keyboards to someone else, so I can pretend to be a rock star in short bursts. But I wouldnβt consider myself astronomically talented at, or obsessed with, playing the guitarβIβm just interested in it. Therefore, I own about twenty of them. In my defense, some are for convenience. I keep two at the office and two in our church building, because you never know whether the acoustic or electric mood will strike, and I donβt want to haul them back and forth all the time. The rest are either hanging on display at home or in various states of storage, but they do get played, as I keep insisting to Susan.
Then there are the radio-controlled airplanes, and the historical memorabilia, and the golf clubs . . . like I said, guitars are just one hobby of mine. Iβm a nerd, and nerds always want to have the latest gadget. I can justify my extensive collection of game consoles as part of my job, at least, but for the most part I have to make a conscious effort to keep the accumulation below pathological levels. I once got to visit George Lucasβs library at Skywalker Ranch, which has a ladder leading up to a second-floor balcony where you can access another several thousand books. Itβs probably a good thing that Iβve never lived in a house that could hold that many books, but a grand, sprawling library is the first room Iβd install if I did.
One important deterrent Iβve learned is to limit myself to a trickle of information, because it only takes a few minutes with a magazine before I start thinking that this set of titanium-alloy golf clubs will finally take my game to the next level, or that digitally superior guitar amp will really make my Paul Reed Smith hollowbody sound like it was meant to. A few years back, I canceled all my subscrip

Someone asked this same question a year ago but there was hardly any feedback. Can anyone share their experience taking this course? I've been on the fence to get it but I'm not sure if it would provide more game design insight than some of the resources I already have (Book of Lenses, Theory of Fun). Thank you!
Yeah I already think heβs 100x better then Bruce Allen ever was but JW also is smart enough to stay out of the football side. The reason why I think his time here might be looked at as a failure is:
He already completely botched the Sean Taylor number retirement. Whether it was Snyder forcing him to do it to distract from the congress pressure and DEA raid but either way they fucked it up big time and pissed a lot of fans off
Him and his legal team have recently said they wonβt be able to get RedWolves/Wolves as the new name which was the biggest fan favorite of all the potential names. So now after all the videos and hints that itβs looking like commanders/Admirals will most likely be the new name. After 24 hours since the announcement it seems to be a very hated move if they do decide those military type of names.
We havenβt heard anything about a new stadium except possibly buying land in Prince William County or Loudoun County.. which would be an awful decision. Weβre 5 year away from being out of our lease in Landover (2027) and we have 0 progress of getting a new βstate of the artβ stadium.
We as a fan base have been through so much since Snyder bought the team and we have zero faith that theyβll get this name, stadium, or anything else right. Thereβs a good chance that by 2030 our name will be the Commanders and our stadium will be in Prince William County.. imagine that 30 years ago when our team was raising our 3rd Lombardi trophy. The path weβre on right now might show Wright couldnβt overcome Snyder and that weβre totally screwed until heβs gone. We might not have any fans left here soon.
SELL THE TEAM
Obviously Wright is beloved by Mets fans and a lock for their HOF, but in the bigger picture is he simply a Hall of Very Good player? What will his longevity be on the HOF ballot? I'm not a deep analytics guy but do any statistics present him in a stronger light than he may appear to be?
Hey everyone! Over the last decade or so I've been creating art for videogames, they've all been free to use (public domain, also for commercial projects without giving attribution).
The last couple of years I kept getting requests from board game designers to create content for them specifically and well - here's the first project! I've gathered requests, created icons and put them in a package, feel free to use them in any sort of project.
β’ Download (no ads, no tracking, no sign-up, etc.)
Let me know if you've got additional ideas or like to submit your own request, cheers!
Can anyone help? Looking for it and I can't buy it at the moment, being the end of the month and all... If anyone can get a download for it I'd highly appreciate it
