My counselor has asked me what should she select as an answer for CommonApps: "In comparison with other college preparatory students at your school, the applicant's course selection is"
In my country, we have strictly given what courses will we have for all four years. We have no choice which classes to attend and which not. The problem is, that there is no select option to indicate that.
Did someone have the same problem? What did you select in the box? How should she indicate that in CommonApp?

About the program:
Our program is designed for Chinese high school students that will be attending college in the U.S. or other English-speaking countries. The program combines traditional U.S. high school courses with TOEFL and SAT preparation to prepare students for college abroad, while also allowing them to earn a U.S. diploma and a Chinese high school diploma. Primary courses include ESL, Social Studies, Arts & Crafts, Music, Physical Education and more. The focus of the program is to prepare the students to be successful in an English-speaking college and improve their ability to be accepted into the best U.S. and international colleges and help students to improve their English, learn 21st century skills and become global citizens.
Locations:
Currently, we are primarily looking for teachers for our BIE schools in Dalian and Shenyang (Liaoning province).
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons; determine homework, projects, and quizzes.
- Correct homework, grade and keep detailed records for all students.
- Participate in weekly teacher meetings, conference calls with BIE's head office in California, Chinese High School functions, student, and extracurricular activities. Utilize standard US curriculum and textbooks as well as PowerPoint presentations. Work with assistant teachers to ensure effective lessons.

- Passport holders from USA or Canada. Applicants from Britain, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand also accepted (visa requirement).
- University degree in any subject (education-related degree preferred)
- TEFL certificate or 2 years previous teaching experience supported by reference letters.

Walter was an amazing athlete but he was also only 5'10'' and only 200lbs (I think he was lighter when he came into the league). Would he still be picked at 4thoverall, or would he be asked to gain weight or fall in the draft due to concerns with his size for his position?

I didn’t do that great on my placement test because reasons..however I already have 30 transferable credits from hs like precal, world history, statistics, English comp 1 and 2, biology etc. can they force me to take the intro classes since I tested into them? And if so, wouldn’t I just be wasting my time since I did the majority of my gen Ed already?
My major is psychology.
I had an early appointment today so there wasn't much of a line when I got there. The vaccinations take place in the school gymnasium and it was set up extremely efficiently. I had brought a doctor's note and proof of where I live -- note, this site is only open to Brooklyn residents only at the moment -- but the staff checking were more concerned about the QC Code and the NYS Form you can fill out online. I'm one of those people who makes sure to overprepare, so take my experience for what it's worth!
They asked me questions that are on the NYS form -- symptoms, have you had the vaccine yet, etc. -- and recorded it on a tablet. Qualified because I'm a Type-1 diabetic. Not sure if it's because it's run by Capsule which is an online pharmacy, but there was very little paperwork involved.
Literally after I finished answering my questions, I was whisked immediately to get my shot. Got it, waited 15-20 minutes and was out the door. The entire experience took under 35 minutes tops from when I walked through the door. It was a breeze. My arm is a little sore, but no crazy side effects so far. The 2nd dose will probably be a different story!
Capsule/NYC only releases appointments for this site when they know they have a sufficient amount of supply, so it's something that happens very quickly. I snagged an appointment off of TurboVax, so keep looking at those Twitter handles and turn your notifications on!
Came across a reference to the place in an article, and looked it up. (Among it's alumni are Paul Thomas Anderson, Curtis Hanson, Michael Jackson.) It's apparently been closed since 2012. I'm really curious if the campus & buildings are still there and if they're being used for anything.
