A list of puns related to "Visual Artists Rights Act"
The project is a visual novel posted in chunks and uploaded online (sounds odd but I really think this may become a viable market) with a continuous plot and developing cast. This means that as time progresses the cast can be updated with new sprites and new characters can be added.
So an artist who's willing to work on the same thing for a while would be best. I intend to pay per sprite and CG so this would continue to pay for a while as the story went on. So someone with a free schedule would be great.
It's also worth mentioning that I want to show some violence in this, there won't be much but the more okay with it you are the better. Things like characters having bruises or bloodied noses and the like.
Also since this will be posted online this will be recieving ad revenue and such and I wouldn't mind working out a deal to give a percentage of the revenue. Of course I'm not planning on a ton of popularity or even any popularity (especially starting out) but just in case I'd be happy to give a good portion of the earnings to the artist as well as the payments per sprite.
As for the actual payment per sprite, I understand that about 50$ USD per sprite is about the going rate and I'd be happy to pay that amount but I'm open to negotiation.
Hey everyone. My IG got disabled for violating terms which I have no idea why. I lost 6500 followers and had to start all over. One thing that made me realize was that I had become so dependent on one platform that I need to branch out. If anyone has any tips and if itβs worth doing I would great appreciate it. Thank you!
I do mostly pet and animal portraits, among other things. I collaborate a lot with non-profits, one of which will essentially be the middle man to my commission jobs--I get paid less than usual, but I "raise" money for the non-profit by whatever extra is paid, and get a higher quantity of commissions that I may not get otherwise due to the non-profits connections.
I have been asked to do two specific portraits--I would normally charge around $350 for each portrait, but I'm getting $200 for each, $400 total. He said that this client asked for the non-profit to have sole rights to the images that I create, so that they can print whatever they want with the image on it, and I cannot use the image myself for my own prints or products.
I have never done this before, and always include in my contracts that I retain full and sole rights to my images, to be used as I please. I sell prints of my artworks, including all of the artworks that this non-profit has requested of me. As of now, I make little enough to be on Medicaid and food stamps, and those prints are one of the few main sources of income that I get which pay the bills. I can accept commissions at lower prices from non-profits -because- I am able to pay the bills with my prints at vendor events.
Honestly, I feel drained already from what I'm giving and not getting back, and feel like too much is being asked of me. I can't tell if that's just because of the way that I personally do things, and that perhaps sole proprietorship of any of my images is just too much to ask, or if this is acceptable with a fair price for both of us.
Is it normal for the visual artists out there to sell the -sole- rights to their images? If so, how much would you charge for this? How would you calculate a worthy price to the rights to your image? How do you feel about not having the rights to an image you yourself worked hard to create and bring to life yourself?
Sorry if this post has been done before but I'd love to see the rest of their stuff!

I don't have a problem in delivering pieces of work in a marked deadline, I always ask for details that might be interpreted differently in the task. And I share stages of workflow, so you always will be informed about process.

My rate is 75-100$ for bg, depending of level of details, 10-20$ for variation of time of day/weather etc. One bg usually takes 7-14 days to complete.
My discord is Lana_Liebert#6293
Thanks and hope to hear from you in a future. π·π·

I found this insanely good fan art of a Cho'Gath visual update but I cant find the artist. This was posted on a reply to a Tweet a while ago to TBSkyen's Janna redesign post, unfortunately Twitter doesn't seem to let me search that far back, like around June. I saved a screengrab, and recently I've looked at it and I'm trying desperately to find the artist.I see on the rules to look for the original source, if this post goes against it just know I'm not trying to steal the artists credit, I really just want to find it. If anyone knows who this is help me out, they deserve all the credit!

So I'm an artist and I'm searching for books that make an analysis of classic cartoons, cartoon history, big names in the industry, comic books, and other sources related to that field. Thanks in advance
