DAD JOKES ARE NOT DIRTY.

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.

If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.

Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???

Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.

Thank you,

A Dad.

Helping to Mock the Detroit Lions

With less than a month to go, just some thoughts for the Detroit Lions for those looking for some insight.

Who Now Makes the Decisions?

The Lions have a whole new regime in place, and thus, the way they evaluate, the traits they look for, and the patterns they deploy are all brand new. Starting at the top, the Lions hired Rams director of scouting Brad Holmes as their new General Manager. Holmes has a nice little connection to Detroit, with his uncle, Luther Bradley, a former first-round pick with the Lions. He helped Rams GM Les Snead continue to build a well-stocked, competitive roster in LA despite never having first-round draft picks.

However, he's not alone in the process, though Holmes will be the one making the final call on the draft pick, as Detroit has embraced a more collaborative approach. This suggests that their head coaching hire, former Saints tight ends coach Dan Campbell will also have a healthy degree of input, along with some new executives, such as Special Assistant Chris Spielman, a Lions legend himself, and also Assistant General Manager Ray Agnew, a fellow Rams executive who journeyed over. The Lions also brought in former Browns GM John Dorsey as a senior advisor.

On their coaching staff, now offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn was a head coach with the Chargers before being replaced with Brandon Staley this offseason. And then on defense, former Saints defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn joins Campbell in Detroit as defensive coordinator.

What Does This Mean for the Offense?

On offense, the changes are going to be a bit more subtle, as the Lions had a relatively solid offense last season, but a lot of new faces going into 2021. The biggest change is at quarterback, where QB Matthew Stafford was traded to the LA Rams for QB Jared Goff and a couple of future first-round picks. Stafford was an aggressive QB, always willing to push the ball into tight windows, and even throwing toss-up balls for guys like Marvin Jones and Kenny Golladay down the field. Jared Goff is a good deal different, prefering to throw to more open pass catchers, and not as willing to risk it down the field the way Stafford did.

This can be seen so far in the moves Detroit has made at wide receiver. While new additions WR Breshad Perriman and WR Tyrell Williams aren't necessarily elite separation guys, they certainly are more in that mold than the aforementioned WR's Detroit had in 2020. Nearly all of the Li

For those unaware - the story of the greatest prank in the South Carolina/Clemson rivalry

Inspired by this post from yesterday about the imposter showing up to Southern Cal's practice to catch punts

The story of The Prank

TL:DR:

More than 50 members of USC's Sigma Nu fraternity devised an elaborate prank for the Clemson faithful prior to kick-off of the 1961 Palmetto Bowl. They had borrowed a local high school football team's uniforms that resembled Clemson's at the time. The group ran onto the field at Williams-Brice before the real teams came onto the field for pre-game warmups. The Clemson band played the fight song and fans cheered and clapped, and Carolina fans rained boos on the fake team. It didn't take long, however, before people in the stands realized something was amiss. On the field the "players" performed a number of silly acts, such as the 'punter' kicking the ball over his head, which another player let bounce off his helmet. 'Players' mimed milking a cow, 'players' fell down and let passes bounce off their pads, they did exotic stretches and somersaults. At one point even one of the members had dressed as Clemson coach Frank Howard and ran onto the field and yelled at the 'players' and spat copious amounts of tobacco everywhere. Eventually they had to leave the field before the real teams came on and the game was to start. By that time however Clemson fans were literally trying to storm the field and there were scuffles in the stands.

Read ahead for more great details but that's about the gist of it.

From an article in The State (may need to go incognito due to paywall):

>If a prank has anniversary parties, you know it was a good prank.

>Meet β€œThe Prank.” In 1961, the members of South Carolina’s Sigma Nu fraternity devised and practiced an elaborate and bold gag in which dozens of them donned uniforms of a local high school football team and bluffed their way onto the field at Williams-Brice Stadium before the Gamecocks’ game against Clemson to mock the Tigers.

>β€œWe practiced four or five nights. The secrecy was what was surprising,” participant Ed Hancock told the school’s website in 2011. β€œIt was such a well-kept secret. I had a date, like everyone else did, to the football game, and I just told he
