Senekerim gave Vaspurakan to the Byzantine Empire in 1021, trading his land for land to the West in modern day Sivas. I didn't know anything like this had survived from Medieval Armenia for that long. Can't find any information on what happened to this throne and whether it still exists. The photo is from Van, 1880-1892.

Edit: He gave/traded Vaspurakan to the Byzantines because the Kingdom could not defend itself from the growing number of raids by Turkish horseman/horse archers.
I was trying to make a list of all Georgian monarchs ever, under monarchs I mean everyone, including kings of separated and divided Georgian territories and their self-proclaimed kings, and including tribal leaders of the early period.
Also, in case this gets reposted, I don't want to share just names and what they did, I want people to understand the timeline and what were these states where these people ruled, so we start from there, with a small overview of general proto-Georgian states that were settled by Georgians for many thousands of years and even beyond that, tribal settlements already existed 200 000 years ago, exactly in the surroundings of where are major Georgian cities today, early proto-Georgian states were first mentioned in 1200 BC by the Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser I, it seems that Diauehi - แแแแแฎแ (1200 BC - 750 BC), was counter-attacking the king. There is the Kingdom of Colchis - แแแแฎแแแ / แแแ แแกแ (1300 BC - 164 BC) which eventually absorbed Diauehi as the union of proto-Georgian tribes. Meanwhile, in the East of Georgia, the Kingdom of Iberia (302 BC - 580 AD) is taking shape under the first Georgian dynasty of Kings. Under Roman rule, Colchis transformed into Lazica - แแแแแแ / แแแ แแกแ (131 AD - 697 AD). After Lazica and Iberia, Georgians were seeking ways to unite the dynasty, Tao-Klarjeti, Abkhazia, Kartli, all were taking part in the game of thrones. Finally, the second major dynasty of Kings was able to unite all Georgian tribes within the Kingdom of Georgia (1008 - 1490), after devastating attacks Kingdom was divided into small duchies who all claimed to be kings of Georgia, such as the Kingdoms of Kartli, Kakheti, and Imereti. Until 1810, when Russian Empire abolished the Georgian monarchy.
To be honest, I didn't check the limit that actually exists for a Reddit post, it's 40000 characters, and I did over 80000 so had to trim it a bit, but I think I have provided information for anyone who had an impact and actually did something beneficial or had an impact but did something awful, you can find all the game of thrones here. I will post both parts at the same time and will link both parts to each other.
Sieni (Approx. 1120 BC - 1100 BC) - Diauehi |

Diauehi being a military union of different tribes, chose Sieni as a representative and a king, Sieni was the one who counter-attacked Assyrian king Tiglath-Pileser I but lost the war. |

... keep reading on reddit โกI don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
It really does, I swear!
Hey guys, currently I am making a mod for the strategy game Europa Universalis IV. For those who don't know it is a game that makes you pick a state and play as them, creating an alternative history. The game starts at 1444 and at the start of the vanilla game Armenian cultured lands are under Aq and Qara Qoyunlu states. I wanted to do something interesting and have added 8 different Armenian states that get their independence, and you are able to unite them and form Armenia itself. Of course with so many states and the majority of them being provinces rather than independent states in history, I have difficulty finding flags for them. The states I've added are:
Aghdznik
Sophene
Bardzr Hayq
Tayq
Turuberan
Ayrarat
Vaspurakan
Syunik
Can you help me with finding or designing flags? They don't have to be 100% historically accurate, but any information would help for instance if one of these regions has a specific color traditionally assigned to it, I can use it in its flag. For instance, since Bagratuni Dynasty ruled over Syunik, Vaspurakan and Tayq; I might make 3 different versions of this flag for those three.
I know this is a weird request but I thought this is where I could find the most information, cheers

Ethereum has made an unprecedented run over the last almost 2 years.
BUT have you thought about how much you'd have if you invested $100, 1,000 years ago? Let's find out.
1,000 years ago was the year 1021. A time before the US dollar, before Christopher Columbus. A year when Senekerim-Hovhannes Artsruni, King of Vaspurakan, surrenders his kingdom to the Byzantine Empire.
Unfortunately, I can't provide currency conversions from the year 1021, but the closest I can provide is the year 1264.
Although the Dollar will not exist for several hundred more years, the British Pound did exist.
So, with several different conversions, I have been able to determine the value of $1 dating back to 1264.
If you invested $100 roughly 1000 years ago, you could have 27.33 Ethereum or $125,672.
Now if you've read this far, you are probably like, well you couldn't have invested 1000 years ago, or even 10 years ago. And if you bought a $100 at launch, you'd have much more than 27 Ethereum. You would be 100% correct, I am an idiot, and I had already wrote this whole post before I realized it. So please take pity on me in the comments, lol.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
