Hi!! iβve seen a few posts of everyone discussing the ATVF program. If you guys want to DM me your discord names we can run a server of everyone whoβs starting in January :)
Hello fellow editors! I've posted a new video on my TY channel. It's an interview with Scott Jacobs who was one of the lead assistant editors on Marvel's Wanda Vision. If any of you are interested in a career in editing scripted films & television I know you will get a lot out of what Scott has to offer. Check it out and let me know your comments either here or on the channel. https://youtu.be/8qPVfACOxCY
Just wanted to put this up to see if I could find other people attending the Winter 2022 ATVF course starting Jan!
Would love to hear from you and get to a little about ya'll before we get there :)
Hey so im in year 12 and i'm researching unis, i really liked the look of the Film & TV degree at Edinburgh, but i was doing more searching and the Discover Uni data says that the student satisfaction rate is 33% - obviously this is quite concerning to me, and doesnt sound great. Im assuming this is due to Covid but if anyone has any more info about it then that would be super helpful! Thanks!
The REEL Thanksgiving Challenge is an annual two week long fundraising event, presented by the Directors Guild of Canada, in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. This will be the 9th year for the REEL Thanks ChallengeΒ and it has raised a total ofΒ $1,281,500Β since its inception.
I was thinking about the scene in 'Shaun of the Dead' where they're throwing LPs at the zombies in the garden (destroying copies of Blue Monday and CommuniquΓ© in the process), made me wonder about other examples of vinyl abuse in media.
Personally can't think of many, but after finishing Dexter I noticed that over the course of eight seasons, every time a turntable showed up (two to four times total?) it was a 45 being played on an awful Crosley.
I got an invite to audition for this class with the reward being able to take the class for free if they accept you. As a skeptic I just assume they're reaching out to hundreds on Backstage/AA with the same invitation and just hoping to somehow get money from us using this class as a "free sample."
But I wanted to hear if anyone had studied there, or taken this class specifically, and what you thought of it/them. I could use a class to revitalize my skills since I haven't taken one in over 1.5yrs.
Exit Music used in that one Black Mirror Episode blew my mind.. could not get over it.
Edit: wow wow!! thereβs so many movies/shows I need to see now (even a book I need to read!!)β thanks for answering my question and making my day! you all rock π€
I've heard good things about this course but want to know more details and I'm a little wary about studying Film from a Uni instead at a film school (Can't afford LFA, NFTS etc). Anyone who has an idea, help me out please.
