Ultimate Gaming Championship and U.S. Army Esports has just announced the Defender Cup, a national, online Rocket League tournament featuring a $5,000 cash purse. The event is:
- Free to enter
- Cross-platform
- Available to US players only
Teams will compete in one of five regional qualifiers starting on May 13. The top placing teams will then advance to the National Championship on June 5 to compete in a 32-team bracket for $5,000!

This Friday, 09NOV2018, at 1800CST, we're going to host an AMA (Ask Me Anything) with members of the Army eSports team, a USAREC effort.
I've verified details, and we're going to take this opportunity to let individuals ask questions about this new program, which is in its early stages. Feel free to ask about how the application process will work, games to be played, how you can get in on this new effort, and anything else you can think of. You can hear a bit about the effort on their facebook page, and can use this link to find the sign-up sheet directly. They have a recently created twitter, so feel free to keep an eye on that as well.

The Apex Predator Series presented by U.S. Army Esports is an ongoing Apex Legends tournament spanning over two-weeks. The Apex Predator Series will feature a unique derby-style scoring system where players will be awarded points based off both kill counts and placings. The Apex Predator Series will be played exclusively on the UGC Esports platform and is free to enter.
Starting on August 9 and ending on August 23, players will have the opportunity to play in as many matches as they can, factoring in only their ten highest scores for consideration, to which the top 16 teams will advance into the championship round on August 24.
