What ship types, if you train their Spaceship Command skill to 5, gain the absolutely best benefit from it? What ships, if you fly them a lot, should you train the class fully up on?

Example: I've heard that Recon Ships to V are fantastic. I know that Covert Ops V for torpedo damage is grand and also for the exploring benefits. I've heard Interdictor V makes them a bitch to kill.

What are the Level V must haves, and why?

What type of physics class should I take to learn more about how ships sink?

I'd like to understand the mechanics and physics behind shipwrecks. For example, how the force of a collision impacts the steel. I want to take a physics class for this, but I don't know which one I should take for my particular objective. I wanted to ask some physics experts.

What's a good course to take to learn more about the mechanics of ships and shipwrecks?

Thanks so much! Have a marvelous day! :)

What classes spent time as Starfleet's premier ship type?

If Starfleet passes on the "Enterprise" name whenever it makes a new ship class superior to all that came before, that means the classes that have spent time at No. 1 so far were:

Constitution -> Excelsior -> Ambassador -> Galaxy -> Sovereign -> Inquiry (per Riker)

Are there more? Do we know what class was displaced by the Constitution? Was anything more powerful than a Constitution before the Excelsior came along? Was anything more powerful than a Galaxy before the Sovereign came along?

Yorktown Class ship type

It occurred to me recently that the Enterprise in STO is a Yorktown Class, just like the WW2 ship Roddenberry named the Enterprise in Star Trek after.

Seems like the developers missed a chance by not making the Yorktown Class into something of a carrier variant of the Odyssey Class, to make the first Enterprise in Star Trek to actually match its real world namesake.

Why would the Intrepid Class ships have the capacity to build an entirely new Shuttle Type, but not finish building the Aeroshuttle to enable use?

So it's been discussed that when the Voyager left for the Badlands, the Aeroshuttle was not fully completed.

However during their mission, the crew designs and builds the Delta Flyer.

So, what was it about the Aeroshuttle that meant that the Intrepid Class could not manufacture parts for it?

What was the reasoning for limiting what types of crashed ships you can find? Was very disheartened to find out you can’t find S class of certain vehicle types anymore.

I just started the game about two weeks ago and when I found my first crashed ship it was such a cool idea and made me really interested to go get a bunch of emergency navigation data stacks and search for ships, hoping I might find a valuable or cool looking S class ship. But then I heard that for Fighter ships (for example) the highest rank you can find is a B class, and I think for Haulers it’s a C class. Such a bummer to me. I heard you could find anything before but it was changed to the current way it is now. Anyone know what the reasoning for the change was?
