A list of puns related to "Maritime Commission"
I'm from California, currently an enlisted BMSN in the Navy reserves and drilling very locally to Vallejo. I joined the reserves with the intention of completing the basic transfer requirements at a community college and transferring to a UC or CSU, however, after being active duty for training for a little over six months I fell in love with the Navy and truly want to pursue a career in the naval service as either an active duty enlisted sailor, or as an officer, thus I would like to pursue a bachelorβs degree in a background surrounding maritime work so that once I graduate I can earn a commission as a SWO or Public Affairs Officer.
I graduated high school just doing the basic requirements to graduate (not A-G), that too with a pretty horrible GPA (mid 2.0s, I honestly forgot how bad it was) and didn't take either the SAT or the ACT, however they are not requiring the SAT/ACT for the fall 2021 applicants.
Now that I'm back home I've been heavily considering applying to CSU Maritime to major in global studies and maritime affairs or marine transportation.
I know they offer SSOP as well as NROTC at CSU Maritime, which program would be the best option to work towards contracting into for the jobs Iβm looking into.
Also Iβve heard mixed answers regarding wether or not Iβll be conditionally separated from the Navy Reserve if I do get contracted into one of these programs, Iβm not sure how that would affect my status in the contract.
And lastly would any of you recommend sticking to a plan I previously had of staying enlisted and going RC2AC as fast as I could, or going down this path and working towards becoming an officer?
Any insight is appreciated! Thanks in advance yβall!
