A list of puns related to "Tyne and Wear Metro"
Order, order!
This House recognises that:
(1) The current Tyne and Wear metrocar was built between 1975 and 1981, entering service in 1980, making it 39 years without a replacement.
(2) The current Tyne and Wear metrocar is plagued by reliability issues due to age causing breakdowns and service cancellations.
(3) Continued usage of the current Tyne and Wear metrocar past 2022 will force Nexus to introduce huge cuts to the current service pattern due to the aforementioned reliability issues.
This House urges the government to:
(4) Work with Nexus to sanction the purchase of new rolling stock to replace the current fleet of metrocars
(5) Make available funds to purchase new rolling stock for the Tyne and Wear metro
This Motion was submitted by the Right Honourable gbrdly PC MP, Spokesperson for Transport, on behalf of the Classical Liberals
