A list of puns related to "Network Rail"
I could definitely see this as alternatives to regional airlines and airports. I can see even turning the regional airports into rail terminals if properly located. However, the only way it would work is if the major airports include rail stations like they do in places like Frankfurt
Hi!
A few days ago I teasered my worldwide rail network here on reddit. Now it's finished and you can get the blueprint here!

How to use blueprints:
1> Download the blueprint file.
2> Prepare a savegame to paste the train network to. This covers a lot of land mass and will probably cut through some of your factories, so using a new save or one where you deleted everything is recommended.
3> Go to https://satisfactory-calculator.com/en/interactive-map and in the top right corner click the upload button. Drag and drop or select your savegame there. Check C:\Users<username>\Appdata\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames<uuid>\ for savegame location.
4> On the left side of the map, click the Import/Export Blueprint button. Then drag and drop the file you downloaded in step 1 on the menu that opened. After confirming, this adds an icon below the Import/Export button, to Paste Blueprint in Original Position.
5> Download your edited save file. There's a download icon in the top right of the build menu. Your browser will likely dump the file in your preferred download location, you might have to copy it back to the Satisfactory SaveGame directory by hand.
6> Start Satisfactory, load your edited savegame. Before you can use the train network, you have to hook it up to power. Some foliage clearing might be required along some sections of the track.
Lastly, remember that this track system isn't supposed to be the be-all-end-all of track systems. Are there bugs? Probably. I did my best to go over the entire track system and make sure everything works, but we all make mistakes. Could some things be done in a better way? Definitely! You have your own building style, your own ideas about how stations should be designed and where you want them to be. This is merely meant to take the tedium out of laying tracks all over the world.
Enjoy.

Apart from infrastructure, what caught my attention is the following:
>For passengers, tickets could become cheaper, with the European Commission promising to look into exempting them from sales taxes.
>
>This would build on the example of EU member state Germany, which already lowered the VAT on long-distance rail tickets from 19 to 7 per cent last year, the Commission said.
These are the ones closest to being constructed/finished.
What do you think? Which ones will be done first and which ones did I get wrong? Let me know in the comments.
Sincerely, train nerd who wants more trains. [Link here for anyone that wants it] (https://strategicrailreview.com/feedback/)
Something I'm very jealous of, cause we don't have any, so I always try to use it when I'm in a country that has one.
What do you think of the service and pricing?
You may remember that three years ago, I made this headcanon regarding a nationalized American rail network under the Progressive Party. Since then, I've revised it greatly to make it a bit more realistic.
One thing that doesn't change is that the 2ACW is still averted (I'm mainly going off the Kaiserredux mod here) after George Norris won the 1936 election and righted the boat.
Anywho, let's begin:
With Huey Long and Jack Reed satisfied by a relief bill and William H. Murray, leader of the Old Democratic Party, arrested, President Norris turned to other matters. Chief among them was reviewing the United States Army, namely the debate over doctrine; ultimately, Leslie McNair's reforms involving massed artillery strikes was chosen.
Among Norris' priorities, however, was completely restructuring American society. He termed his reforms "capitalism with socialist characteristics", a fancy way of saying "social democracy". His biggest achievement was abolishing the archaic Electoral College, with all future presidential elections decided by the popular vote. But what usually gets lost among his achievements is the reorganization of the entire government.
One of the lesser examples was renaming the various departments to "administrations". For example, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) was renamed the "United States Justice Administration" (USJA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) was renamed the "United States Agricultural Administration" (USAA, not to be confused with the United Services Automobile Association), and the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) was renamed the "United States Transit Administration" (USTA).
The formation of the USTA coincided with the nationalization of almost all forms of transportation in the United States. Each sub-administration was as follows:
I wanna support making Virginia less car dependent. At the moment, Northern VA is fairly well connected, with most trains coming within 15-20 minutes. My issue is southern and especially Western VA the only Amtrak station is Roanoke, and they only get a train at 4:30 every day. If we support better rail and making ourselves less car dependent, is it better to support more frequent rail and more stations will come or vice versa?
It would make no sense for German dominated world have the same rail network as we did OTL, so will the new patch have entirely new railways like Berlin-Riga or Berlin-Warsaw ?
