Last time I was in BKK I saw this modern building with a traditional thai house on top. Is that a common thing to do? It looks really interesting. If any body has any more information etc please share :)
I'm honestly curious as it doesn't seem too common where I'm from (according to my friends anyway) - UK
For context I've been in a very happy monogamous relationship for almost 5 years, we are engaged now. He is 8 years older than me.
I had just finished my degree when he asked me to move in with him, which I did. I moved up to Scotland from London and he told me he was happy for me just to live with him and take some time off to enjoy before looking for any work. I had no real income but he was happy to pay all the bills and basically pay for my needs, so I started picking up the housework and cooking.
He works a very well paid but high stress job and he has nocturnal epilepsy on top of this, with stress and lack of sleep as his main triggers for a seizure. We noticed that since I was picking up the household chores and handling the cooking, his stress levels went down because he no longer had to juggle everything and could 'switch off' after work, and his diet was much better, so the frequency of his seizures also went down as a result which was great!
Que years later and I work about 8-12 hours a week part time just to really socialize and get out of the house and bring in some money for myself.
The house is now paid off (by him) and he basically takes care of all the bills and pays for any expenses, holidays, dates etc.
I obvs buy him the odd coffee and snack and things and treat him on his birthday and Christmas but that's really all because he says he enjoys taking care of me, but would 100% support me if I wanted to go full time at work.
The reality is that I don't, I'm happy, he's happy and this dynamic works for us.
What I don't like is being called a gold digger and that I'm financially taking advantage of him, because I don't feel that I am.
What are the general thoughts?
