A list of puns related to "Top Gear challenges"
Hi all,
Season 17, episode 3 of Top Gear I believe it was, Richard and Jeremy were looking at Nissan Pixos when they decided to see 'how rich they could look' for the same price, buying a 17 year old BMW 850ci and a 9 year old Mercedes CL600.
If you wanted to 'look rich on a budget', what would you go for? I'll set a theoretical maximum budget of Β£12,500 Β£6,000, people complained Β£12,500 was too high.
Edit: This is just for a bit of fun, I'm not planning on doing this, pretend you're a billionaire that for shits and giggles wants to look rich on a peasents budget, don't concern yourself with repair costs.
Has anyone kept track of who has won the most challenges over the years ? Iβm Curious, but my slightly intoxicated searching hasnβt brought any results. Hopefully one of you fine individuals have done this and if so , please share your results. Thanks , you collection of glorious petrol heads
I think for Difficulty 4, It should have a a few 14 uniques. EG.Gear like Superior Shoggoth Ichor and Superior Celestial Lattice.
As a conservative estimate I'd say 2 of each. ( But I'd like to say more)
I know This probably won't happen cos they don't wanna to do anything that will remove potential income. But I can dream
A friend told me that the famous Top Gear challenges were a product of the Porsche test they did. The three presenters were tasked with finding second hand Porsches and the one that Jeremy bought was so awful that the producers decided to turn it into a game. The viewers love the format so much that from then on it became a staple of Top Gear. Is this true? I want it to be true but can't find any sources to back it up
The tone of these is absolutely perfect. Informative, witty, and with a sense of humor and playfulness that extends to the designs of the challenges themselves. It shits all over the cringeworthy attempts at family-friendly comedy we have to sit through in the other stories. These story challenges (or bucket lists) are basically modeled after the type of thing you'd see on Top Gear anyway, so it only makes sense to go right through the source.
If they can't keep up the licensing, I hope they continue with something that mimics this format. No BS, just having fun with cars.
Need an impressive/funny scene to show to someone who is not familiar with the show
I've been working my way through all of the story missions and I'm finding the TG ones to be much more tricky than the others. Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? I only managed a single star on the E-AT level, and only have one 3 star so far.
Any tips or guidance on how to get them all up to 3 stars?
The hour includes choosing the song, tick tock.
edit: Angels of Light also ok
Two of my friends recently got themselves Forza Horizon 4. We are all huge Top Gear fans so I thought I would spice up the Forza gameplay with some fun challenges, Top Gear style.
There is potential for many more, but we had lots of fun with these three for now:
(Feel free to read the italic parts in Jeremys voice)
First, aquire a car from the Autoshow. The following rules apply:
Has to be D Class
It has to be from before 1995 (Btw Turn 10 please add a year filter)
Your budget is 50.000 credits. Keep in mind you should probably mod the car afterwards so dont splurge it all on the stock car.
Challenge 1: Rallye Stage
You have now aquired an old Classic car. Time to find out how it stacks up in the real world. As you all know the 70's, 80's and 90's were the heyday of Rallye, but how does your Classic car stack up against a rallye car of the present day? Here we have a 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. 320 HP, All Wheel Drive and a long heritage of rally successes in the 90's. The Subaru will post a laptime on our prepared Rallye stage. You are then supposed to match or surpass it in your Classic cars. Well, who will be driving the Subaru, you might ask? Some say he has a vape stuck under his helmet and that he once drifted past Walter RΓΆhrl on the Autobahn. All we know is, hes called the Stig!
Simple. Post a better lap than a 2015 Subaru WRX STi (stock, B 693) on your 50.000 Credits Classic Car. Pick any Dirt Circuit track you want or use your own, obviously. I personally tried it with a B 682 tuned VW Golf GTI MK2 and got a second faster than the WRX.
Challenge 2: Cop Chase
*As we all know the police these days is really struggling to keep up with all those horsepower beasts on the road, so we decided to help them a bit and provide them with this: A 2014 BMW M4 CoupΓ©. 435 raw Horsepower going to the rear wheels. That should help the rozzers immensly. We just need to test it under real-world conditions. And thats where your Classic cars come in. You will each be given a one minute gap to get the hell out of here and towards the coast before the Police will catch wind of you and start the chase. If you make it to the Hovercraft ferry in one piece you get away with the one million pounds of fraudulently aquired cash we deposited in your cars trunks in advance. If you get caught you will spend the next 20 years of your life in prison. Remember, sat nav is not always the best route. One more thing. The police car driver will be none oth
... keep reading on reddit β‘My housemate and myself are planning to do a βtop gearβ style challenge where we travel to a country, purchase a cheap vehicle which we modify for a certain budget and then have to reach a certain location in a certain time.
Now currently Iβm looking at Mumbai, India to Kathmandu, Nepal. Itβs just shy of 2000km according to Google Maps and I believe would see us travel a variety of terrain and experience a vast array of culture and heritage.
But before we start setting things in motion Iβd like to hear any and all suggestions you have on the matter. We can take about two weeks give or take and will need to take travel costs from Adelaide, Australia into account. We donβt want this to be a holiday as such but an actual challenge. We are mechanically apt and physically fit to overcome most problems we may encounter.
I hear a lot of people complaining about the difficulty of some of the weekly challenges due to playlist problems, and mostly I agree. I think thereβs an important distinction to be made though, I wand difficult challenges like βget 2 killing sprees in one matchβ or something that you can strive for and feel awesome when you get it. not βwin 5 oddball matchesβ and proceed to never get oddball and when you do, someone afkβs within 5 mins.
