My tomato compote is too salty -- should I just toss it and start over? (Part of a larger recipe)
Basically making a pasta recipe where you combine 4 oz tomato compote, 4 oz onion soubise, 4 oz heavy cream, as well as half a tablespoon chili paste for the sauce.
I made the tomato compote according to the recipe (28 oz whole peeled tomatoes, 1.5 oz salt, 1.5 oz sugar, 1.5 oz evoo), and it's super salty. Doesn't taste very good.
Should I just remake the compote with a recipe from the ny times or something or would somehow it being salty work for the final dish?

A Dragon Cookbook (Inspired by redismo's guestion and TheUltraGarden's joke posts)

Cooking with exotic meat of Pyrrhian Big Eight
Every year there slayed dozens of dragons in the Sapma kingdoms in the pest hunts and in the arenas. But did you ever asked what happens with the bodies of those giant flying animals? The dragons, or the big part of their bodies are often simply left to rod - leaving tuns of biomass to got wasted while it could put into use.
And if you're a dragonslayer who needs to restore their energy after the fight, servant who needs a inspiration for tasty suprise for his/her master, a nobility who got bored by eating even a rooster knights, a trophy hunter who would like to taste better their catch for example with the family or friends, or just somebody who would like to try something new or exotic, then this book is just for you!
Swamp Dragons
Swamp dragons are known for ther bulky bodies, this mean that they also have a lot of tendons which can by used for connect smaller pieces of meat, which makes them ideal for various jelly meats.
Swampy salceson
You will need:
- chunk of meat from the swamp dragon (you can also add a heart and kidneys)
- piece of swamp dragon tendor
- salt
- pepper
- cumin
- marjoram
- allspice
- bay leaf
Preparation:
- Cut the meat (heart and kindeys) into small pieces
- Boil the meat cca 2 hours until its soft but not overcooked
- Make a broth from the tendor, when the broth will get thick add salt and little bit of pepper with other spices and continue cooking until the spices starts let out aroma.
- Pour out water from the pot we previously boiled the meat and suffuse it with broth - Use kitchen mesh to catch the leached spices
- pack the mixture into waterproof wrapper (for example clear appendix) and let it cool down and let the meat rest to soak up the aroma of spices
Serve cold, cutted into slices, with pieces of onion for juiciness and pastry. For richer taste, you can spray the salceson with vinegar.

Mountain Dragons
Dark with natural spicy flavor, the meat of those dragons has benefit that the spices aren't much necessarily in large quantities, so the often way of eating it are hot jerkies.
Devil's goulash
you will need:
- flank from mountain dragon
- onions
- potatoes
- ground sweet paprika
- smooth flour
- garlic
- salt
- pepper
- marjoram
- optional: ground chilly (or other hot peppers like devil's tongue if you are truly nuts)

If you could choose two entrees to serve between steak, chicken, and salmon, which two would you pick?
Help me pick my menu options! Weβre allowed 2 menus choices between steak, chicken, and salmon and Iβm torn! I know chicken is always a safe option, but I find it to be such a boring option.
To me, offering salmon and steak gives it more of a high quality feel since theyβre both more expensive entrees. Iβm still worried though that some people will be not be able to find something to eat since chicken is more universal. Help! What would you pick?
As a side note, a separate vegetarian/vegan/gluten free option will be offered. I canβt remember exactly what it was but I remember it has eggplant and tomato compote in it.

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
