What I really hate about these god awful films that they always the same. Dog good cat bad, dog speaks and shit. Unfunny jokes and awful cgi. But the only truly good dog movie is Togo. The main character says that dogs aren't family, they are animals and he used them for work, and work only. It was very refreshing to hear something like that. Finally it's not the cookie cutter "My pet is like a human, he's a brother to me". No, it's an animal that cannot feel love, and should be used for work. It's also based on a real life story, and is about huskies, one of most useful dog breed on Earth. So dear film makers, if you want to make a movie in the future about canines, please watch Togo. That's how you should do it!

I feel like somehow everyone now has either the Togo sofa or the iconic Bellini! My husband and I are in our mid-20s, living in the big city, doing pretty well for ourselves in our careers, but couldn't fathom dropping the kind of cash that these pieces cost at this point in our lives! Yet, for some reason, I'm starting to see a lot of people our age acquire them, even in their tiny, crappy apartments lol.

What's going on with this? Are there a lot of dupes out there? Is there a good place to find them vintage at a reasonable price (like, under $2k lol).

I can imagine that there might be more convincing dupes of the Togo as, to be honest, I kind of thought it looked like a lazy bachelor's beanbag chair up until recently when I guess I've been brainwashed into loving it.

Not that I need to have the same trendy sofa that everyone else does, but we have a space in our apartment where it would be perfect, we're in search of a low lounge sofa that's an upgrade from what we have currently (the Ikea Soderhamn, which I used to love but it's honestly wildly uncomfortable). We're open to the idea of beginning to acquire investment pieces and spend a bit more money in order to do so.

Are either of these designer sofas worth it in that sense?

Are they comfortable? Could you lay down and take a nap on the Togo or sleep on it overnight (our couch always winds up being the guest bed)?

Is it better to go for a good dupe or the real deal? What are the benefits and drawbacks?

I wasn't going to write a review but turns out I have words to say, much words, so here's a post about it. Quality 8/10

• I'm giving this a higher quality rating because the leather is so so lovely. Never touched the auth so I can only judge this individually, but this is so powdery soft and beautiful to touch. There's a nice weight to the bag that feels expensive.
• The hardware feels solid and has a nice gold tone. However, the inside zipper, lock & key have that chintzy yellow-orange gold that is obviously cheaper than the rest of the hardware on the bag (-1).
• The handles are firm and sturdy, they don't flop around, they aren't bent (yay!).
• The stamping is surprisingly nice for a cheap rep. It looks too thin and there may be spacing issues but overall, it's clean. And the È actually looks correct. The glazing & stitches are messy in parts. (-1)
• This has a bit of a musty smell - not exactly fufu, just. Musty. I was actually surprised at how well the bag was packaged. No bubble wrap in the box but the bag was wrapped securely with plastic & cardboard. Th

I was extremely shocked to see this in my inbox and I just wanted to share the news/ ask a couple questions.

First, here’s my timeline:

So I was accepted to serve in Mongolia September of 2019, and then was set to depart May 2020. Right before my departure my service was postponed like it was for obviously everyone else. Since then I have continued to receive updates about serving in Mongolia, with the last one being a zoom call from our Mongolia director the summer of 2021 saying that we’d be sent to Mongolia in 2022.

Then last week I updated my preferences and put that I would be willing to work anywhere as long as I was in a health extension worker position. However, in my heart I very much held on to the idea that I would still be sent to Mongolia.

So I guess I have two questions. 1- do you think if I turned it down I’d still have a shot at the Mongolia position? And then 2- If you have served in Togo would you mind telling me what that experience was like? I can see a lot of silver linings about going to Togo and am excited about the health extension worker position there. It’s just the complete opposite of what I was expecting for myself so I would love to hear some first hand experiences :)
