Mike Smith said the #Flames considered pulling him after 2nd period but he wanted to play "I honestly didnβt want to come out of that game and have (Rittich) have to go in the third like that and just you want to be in there and battle for your team no matter what the score is."
This is so nice of Smitty, knew the team was playing like crap and didn't wanna put Rittich in that position.

[Jenkins] Jerry West on competition "At the end of the third quarter [Warriors led 106β75], I almost felt bad for San Antonio, but I also felt bad for our fans. Because if you're a real fan at a playoff game, you want to see a hard-fought battle"
Here's the full quote by Jerry West:
"I don't like parity," West says. "I don't like the word parity. Parity is average, and I like to see excellence. But I also like competition. I read the newspaper cover to cover every morning, and even though I don't bet, I look at the lines in Las Vegas. We were underdogs in one game this year. We were favored in Game 2 of the conference finals by 15 points. That is insane."
"It's not what anybody wants to see. At the end of the third quarter [when the Warriors led 106β75], I almost felt bad for San Antonio, but I also felt bad for our fans. Because if you're a real fan at a playoff game, you want to see a hard-fought battle, back and forth, and at the end somebody wins by a point and you go home worn out. You're charged. You're edgy. But we're up by 30-something, and I'm thinking, 'Hmm, I'd like to leave here if I could.' It's the weirdest thing. I've never felt that way before."

[CONFLICT] The War of Newer Zealand Part VIII - The Third Battle of Reactor Site Leviathan
After the fall of the Cult of the Bloody Tongue, the Nation of Newer Zealand was able to seize control of the entire line of defense that the CTF held near Reactor Site Leviathan that it gained in the [last two] (https://www.reddit.com/r/worldpowers/comments/eh29o7/conflict_the_war_of_newer_zealand_part_ii_the/) battles. However, the Cult of the Bridge has a huge army nearby, at Reactor Site Poseidon after a near flawless victory against the GLOW forces previously. Now, both the Cult of the Bridge and the Semple Forces are aiming to take control of this Reactor Site, which is also the last significant station of GLOW forces, after a disaster at Reactor Site [Neptune] (https://www.reddit.com/r/worldpowers/comments/ef5b63/tech_the_rutherford_rifle/). However, the Cult of the Bridge has a long line of defense to push through before they can make it to the Reactor Site itself. The question is, will they both be able to reach it? Probably. But will the cold war between Simon Bridges and Bob Semple finally end? Only time and more dice rolls then necessary will tell.

The Third Battle of Panipat
We all know that the Marathas got crushed by the Afghan forces in the Third Battle of Panipat. But a Maratha victory could've been possible, say by using Guerilla tactics. Say if a Maratha victory occured, just how likely was it for the Marathas to achieve complete dominion over India and her neighbours? I have read a book called "The Adventure" by Jayant Narlikar that gives an alternate history account of the Battle where the Marathas win and go on to conquer all of India, evicting the European East Indian Companies in the process. According to you guys, just how possible is this outcome?
