A list of puns related to "The Wedding of River Song"
First the good thing, in my mind at least.
One of the of the issues that has been growing on me over the last 2 seasons is the fact that doctor's guilt and self loathing is becoming an issue for the dynamic of the show. How can you keep taking companions if you "know" that you are going to ruin them?
The moment at the wedding with the distress beacon when River shows him that millions (billions?) of aliens had come to help him I hope will act as a lightbulb moment for him. I love Matt's weariness but it is preventing the Doctor from having a bit of fun. At some point, he needs to feel good about himself, or the show will have to continue to force him to have companions. (e.g. He took Amy because of the crack in the wall and he knew something was wrong since she had no parents and didn't notice).
Now the questions.
What is the deal with the freaking bow tie colours? Did I miss an explanation? Is it a red herring? was he just changing bow ties and it had no relevance?
If Madame Kovarian was in charge of all the silence, then why did they kill her in that episode?
So context. I [21M] had a pretty minor arguement with another guy [23M] who said that the song Wage War by The River is just generic metalcore. I politely disagreed and punched the fucker in the nose telling him that Wage River are a very underrated underground band and that Pressure is one of the best albums of all time (next to Memphis May Fireβs Broken and I Prevailβs Trauma). He told me that I should listen to unique bands such as Architects or Silent Planet but I told him that Sam Carter [31M] has got nothing on Briton Bondβs [27M] cough cough bleghs
So reddit, am I the asshole? Please tell me
I'm confused about this after rewatching the series, and I don't think it was ever explained and if it was then please link me to where it was.
I donβt know how I missed an amazing episode like this, but after watching it I think I have come to terms with why Smith was my favorite doctor, just because he had River, and seeing that with Capaldi was just great... those damn Christmas specials always get you.
I may be giving the last episode too much credit, as I honestly didn't dislike it quite as much as the majority seem to have (though I support them in that wholeheartedly, as I've found the last two seasons to be general snorefests with a weak Doctor characterwise), but I'm actually genuinely interested in several questions raised.
Honestly I'm more interested in fan thoughts than any attempts at working it out right now, given everything has been called into question.
the minimal requirements of what makes a song a proposal or wedding song are:
clear vocals/lyrics - (music doesnt drown out the vocals)
fully positive lyrics - lyrics are fully positive
no negative parts in the lyrics - has absolutely no negative parts in the lyrics
lyrics needs to be reflective of the joys & highs of proposals or weddings - that doesnt mean the lyrics has to be about proposals or weddings. for example a song like 'high on life' is a song reflective of the joys & highs of proposals & weddings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFcYy30Ogk4
song should fit appropriately & relevantly somewhere along the proposal-wedding timeline - since the song is reflective of the joys & highs of proposals or weddings, then you'll be able to fit it somewhere along the proposal-wedding timeline
songs that represent the joys & highs of proposals or weddings
are not the same as generic luv songs with generic lyrics/words. they set a higher standard
are rare. these songs are few & rare cos ppl produce other songs about other things in societies
are happy + joyful
feel free to explain why the song/lyrics you mentioned represent the joys & highs of proposals & weddings:
why does this song you're recommending represent the joys & highs of proposals & weddings and that it should be listened to? can answer in any way you'll like
whoever can aesthetically & expressively explain it best, or can explain why in simple english, can be mod at r/Proposal if they want - i do not want to be lead mod on any reddits longterm
in the past, i had asked all of the main genres of music cos i heard a friend was gonna have a wedding, so i thought it'd be fun, and that she could just get some song ideas
Hope this isn't a re-post, but I did a few searches and couldn't find it--I Just came across this (to me) amazingly helpful list of most-requested songs for various parts of the wedding: https://eliteprodj.djintelligence.com/music/requested.asp?list=TOP
Could be useful if, like us, you are self-DJing and want to make sure you aren't forgetting anything crucial for the dance party, or get ideas for processional/recessional music that won't sound too wacky and out of place... or the inverse, if you just want to avoid stuff that's TOO popular :)
I had watched every Doctor Who episode till the end of S9 back when it first aired, then missed The Husbands of River Song Special then stopped watching. Four years later(today), I saw everything was on iPlayer and decided to finally jump back in. Oh boy.
This has been the only episode of Who ever to make me shed a tear. As soon as I realised the gift was the Screwdriver I welled up. I love this episode so much and a fantastic conclusion to Riverβs story in my opinion!

Boyfriend said it's actually the Pixies but I'm 100% sure Rivers used this guitar bit in either blue/pinkerton or one of his alone albums? I'm fairly certain they've also covered the song my bf said (Where's my mind) but that's not it either
Here's another couple links since apparently the other one doesn't work, I only have mobile so I can't download it to upload it elsewhere :(

My dad thinks so even though nobody told us that we had to pay to go in there.
Itβs called Taco Bellβs canon.
I can't remember the name of this song, but i know i had heard it in 2015-2016. The singer/actress in the MV is like rocker kind of like chick in video with tatoo sleeves and all. The bf in video is an aussie actor. In the music video, the couple is travelling by car and somehow they come across a duffel bag with loads of cash by a dead body. Somehow the sherriff is involved in killing the dead guy and sees the couple taking the money and follows them. There he corners them in a motel room and ties both of em up. He takes both of them by rowing a boat and there is a last ditch effort by couple to escape by trying to knock sheriff out. The bf gets shot and falls in river. I only remember that much.
which swift song comes closest* to representing the joys & highs of proposals? why?
