A list of puns related to "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"
While yes, the image of a lanky, awkward, easily frightened and terrorized pedagogue who stands lower on the "food chain" financially might have you feeling some level of empathy in the story for his plight, just remember who Ichabod really was.
He set his eyes on a woman far out of his league, and acted romantic towards her with the sole intent of grabbing her father's land and wealth when he kicked the bucket. In a way, I don't blame his rival, Brom Bones, for donning a costume and chasing him out of Sleepy Hollow by posing as its most infamous boogeyman, the Headless Horsemen. Ichabod Crane was the male, colonial equivalent of a "gold digger," and as such, his motives were less than pure.
I am looking for an animated short film. It's an adaption of Legend of Sleepy Hollow. However, what makes it unique is that there is no fixed color schemes. The color scheme changes from scene to scene based on mood.
Forgive the picture, I'm a terrible with that stuff. I just noticed this for the first time last night, having not watched the movie in decades.
Thanks in advance Iβm open to just about any suggestions! (Edit) Fury, & the revenant are also examples
During conversations re: horror movies (reddit or irl), I rarely see/hear Sleepy Hollow (1999) as a part of the discussion. It's been years since I've watched it, but I used to really dig it! It seemed pretty self aware with instances of camp, and balanced out with some horrifically tense moments - the boy hiding beneath the floorboards and the witch seance come to mind.
Does this Christina Ricci spookfest deserve some love, or is there a reason it's been neglected?
