A list of puns related to "The Legend of 1900"
β¦but it isnβt discovered for at least 200 years. What happens to subsequent world affairs? Does Canada manage to achieve the importance of the USβ 1960s heyday? Do world powers suddenly take a keener interest in the Americas? What kind of leaders would the country attract? What would even lead to such a brazen attempt in the first place?
I made a video about the history of this equation but as it is *very* long, I am including the cliff notes of what happened:
In 1877, Boltzmann did come up with equations for determining the probability of energy states, that he labeled W and said was related to the entropy. However, Boltzmann did not say how it was related to entropy nor did include any constant. Planck did not like this idea as he felt that, βthe principle of the increase of entropy as no less immutably valid than the principle of the conservation of energy itself, whereas Boltzmann treated the former merely as a low of probabilities[1]β and for that reason βI was not only indifferent but to a certain extent even hostile to the atomic theory which was the foundation of his entire research.[2]β However, in 1900, Planck was trying to derive an equation for blackbody radiation from fundamental principles, and in βan act of desperationβ used Boltzmannβs probability method. Because he was using Boltzmannβs idea, he wrote in 1900 that he was βintroducing probability considerations, the importance of which for the second law of thermodynamics was first of all discovered by Mr. Boltzmann.[3]β It was this paper that introduced the constant k, equation S = klogW, the constant h *and* the equation e = hf! Not only that, but Planck found values of Planckβs constant and Boltzmannβs constant that are within 2% of the currently accepted values!!
Anyway, Planckβs line about βprobability considerations [being] first of all discovered by Mr. Boltzmannβ caused many people (including a very young Albert Einstein[4]) to erroneously think that Boltzmann made the equation first. In 1914, English scientists Ernest and Ezer Griffiths published a very long paper about the specific heat of metals at low temperatures which had an overview of Quantum theory (with a lot of references to Einstein). This paper was, as far as I can tell, the first time anyone labeled the constant k βBoltzmannβs constant.[5]β By 1920, Planck was complaining that k was βoften referred to as Boltzmannβs constantβ which he found to be βa peculiar state of affairsβ as βto my knowledge, Boltzmann himself never introduced it.[6]β
Boltzmann died in 1906 and his original grave was nondescript. However, in 1935, the alderman of Vienna decided to βfind a burial place worthy of him[7]β and for that reason they moved Boltzmannβs body to a place of honor and created a white marble bust of Boltzmann and a local scientist named H

Now before someone says 'Philly you handsome sonuva gun, you should've got the 65k sure thing quicksells instead", I could've done that 8 times for a grand total of 520k, but as long as I averaged 3k I would've profited and I'm feeling saucy so let's gamble.
Here's how we went:
50k: 0 times cause of course
40k: 1
30k: 1
20k: 2
15k: 1
5k: 8
4k: 3
3k: 16
2.5k: 15
2k: 19
1.5: 46
1k: 78
For a staggering 435.5k π So although i might've lost 85k in profit, at least i made up for it with wasting a stupid amount of time. I'll now be open to questions, comments, and compliments on my new haircut. The floor is yours.
> On Thursday last, in the Council, the brethren expressed themselves quite freely concerning the attitude of the Deseret News on the vaccination question, and all expressed their disapproval of the tone of the News on this topic; in fact, it was felt that the News had done injury by the course it had taken. President Snow told the brethren that he would like me to write an article on the subject for publication, and turning to me said, βPresident Cannon, whatever you write I will sign.β I was so busy yesterday that I did not get time to do this, but to-day I wrote a short article, which we both signed, counseling the people to take every precaution against the spread of smallpox; and while there was a difference of opinion as to the merits of vaccination we felt that everyone who could do so should be vaccinated.
I am at work, so I don't have the breakdown but I just watched my CC talking about this...
If you solo (most efficient), at 2.5 kills/hr it will take 1,900 hours to get 1 of each uniques (minus the staff) on average. This is strictly focusing on collection log completion and for ironmen who want all drops.
Since JaGex compared the drops to corp rarity, doing the spec and tele solo corp method you can kill 13.3k corp in the same time while not using any supplies and getting amazing standard drops at the same time.
This is pretty sad news for completionists and ironmen. The boss is very fun and has new mechanics that a lot of people like, but it is in no way worth doing for money or completion log.
