Persephone's reveal has got a few people talking about Hades getting a remodel to match her.

For those of you who weren't around, Hades never technically got a remodel. When Smite partnered with Tencent, Hades's base design (his current Retro skin) was switched out with a skin called Nightmare Hades, which did not feature obvious bones, which is apparently a taboo for Chinese games. Since then it's been his default design.

Now, in his lore Hades is not similar to Smite's design at all. That is completely fine. Not all gods are going to be 100% lore accurate and they don't need to be. Hi-Rez also gave Hades a human skin recently and it will apparently be part of Hades's upcoming story with Persephone. It was also explained that Hades's wraith-like design is because he is wearing a magical hood, possibly his invisibility cloak, which makes a lot of sense.

My own opinion is that Hades is completely fine. His design is unique, nobody else looks like him, and it fits his theme. He's supposed to be god of the underworld, and to mortals he is something dark to think about. If the word on the street is that he's a scary dark god, it makes sense for him to appear as one to intimidate the other gods. Wouldn't wanna show up looking like the rich dad down the street with a house warming gift if you're trying to fight other gods. It also distinguishes him from his brothers, which is how it is in the myths too. They got the sky and seas, he got the dirt and dead people. I do think at best they could alter his color scheme to make more sense and fix parts of his mesh/armor to look better though.

What is your opinion on the matter? Should Hades be remodeled to look more like his brothers, or should he remain how he is?

As you obviously dont have any money buried with you to pay for the crossing, how can you talk your way with him?

Update 5th June: How to launch Chapter 2:

I fast traveled to the Gates of Atlantis, on the island of Thera. When I arrived, Kassandra/Alexis will say a short line about needing to meet Altheia (I haven't spelt that right but you know who I mean). You then run to Altheia and she asks you if you are ready for the next quest. If you answer "Yes", you then go into Hades to begin chapter 2.

Here is my take on this:

1. the riddles are clearly describing a very dark and evil character + the character has a reign of terror that will last forever, which also matches with Hades because he rules over the underworld which is a pretty terrifying place.

" Burn, sweet flame, burn
My reign of terror thrives since the dawn of time
I'll keep on existing when you will no longer be "

2)Second, we learn that he is immortal because ^ he says : "I'll keep on existing when you will no longer be"

3. He says he will track you down past dusk, which makes me believe it means he will sooner or later find you when you die, because you will then go to the underworld, where "You will succumb to my mesmerizing gaze " (of Hades)

"Burn, sweet flame, burn
I'll track you down past dusk
You will succumb to my mesmerizing gaze "

4. Everyone is terrified of Hades and everyone wants him to die.

"Burn, sweet flame, burn
Many have looked forward to my fall
And in vain they fulfilled this fight "

In greek mythology Hades once kind of died when his father ate his own children including Hades. Zeus was the only one he didn't manage to eat and he freed his siblings by making his father vomit.

" Hades, as the god of the dead, was a fearsome figure to those still living; in no hurry to meet him, they were reluctant to swear oaths in his name, and averted their faces when sacrificing to him. Since to many, simply to say the word "Hades" was frightening "

5. This part talks about his ferocity and i found this online:

" Formidable in battle, he proved his ferocity in the famous titanomachy, the battle of the Olympians versus the titans "

"Burn, sweet flame, burn
My nobility only is matched by my ferocity
There isn't any blood that can make my dry heart beat "

This also says that he doesn't have any blood in his body which i believe hints back at the immortality

6. This part was hard to dissolve but i think it talks about the souls of the living

" Burn, sweet flame, burn
What is your's is mine
What is mine is what they own "

Your souls are his because when you die the souls will descend to the underworld

7. So this part is realy interesting because he consumes the fire, and there is only one big fire in the underworld and that is HELLFIRE. It fits really well because the sou

So in one of the books we learn that Hades has had kids before Nico. Them being Napoleon and Hitler. I'm not a fan of this. Hades is a god of death but the books have always stayed away from just having him be evil so having him son Hitler doesn't seem in character for Hades. Napoleon makes since. Someone who was smart and a strong leader who was an outside thinker.

I don't know just a thought of mine. I have personally felt that Tesla or Teddy Roosevelt would make for better sons of Hades.

I'll like some feedback
