A list of puns related to "Television lines"
here is mine:
Bobby "you know Quasimodo predicted all of this"
Tony "Who did waa?"
God i miss The sopranos
Any questions?
Rewatching, and just got to one of my favorites:
*doorbell rings*
Brendan: "Moooom, I'll get it since you just had an abortion!"
It's funny, and it's one of the first examples of normalized abortion and a positive spin on that in relation to women's ambitions. NGL, I got a little teary the first time I heard it.
βHuman beings are trulyβ¦ disgusting creatures.β
As the everyone in the room collapsed to the floor, I knew the culling lullaby worked.
It implies that Bran does know the future, that he knew that he would become king in the end, and exactly what would happen in order to reach that point. He could prevent thousands of deaths in the long night, the war vs Cersei etc by sharing his knowledge but he didn't. So are we meant to assume that he is just plain evil? No, we know that's not what D&D intended when they wrote that line, and that's why this has the to be the worst line in television history.
I don't know how I discovered it, it was probably being recommended this clip with Salvador Dali, but for the last few months I've been on a spiral watching every episode of "What's My Line". Its an adictively funny and charming gameshow which gives us a glimpse of a world similar but not quite like our own.
THe game is simple. 3 contestants and a guest contestant (usually a celebrity) try to figure out what's their guest line (of work). They have 10 yes/no questions, if they don't get it the contestant wins. The third contestant is a mystery one (usually a big celebrity), and these usually result in some very funny situations (Like Louis Armstrong trying to disguise his voice and so forth).
There are insane little bits of dialogue, like one from an episode (I think it was in 52 or 52) where they mention "This new kid called Elvis and his blue suade shoes". And the ads! "Brought to you by Stoppete Spray Deodorant - Poof! There Goes Perspiration!"
And then you realize they are all dead at this point :(
And they are ALL . SO. FREAKING. POLITE.
Anyway, there are multiple playlists with more episodes then you can possibly watch, so give if a try if you want something fun or just something to pass the time. Here's one with From 1952. These earlier ones have a worse quality, later seasons are remarkbly well preseved.
I bought a pretty decent exterior antenna that has great signal close to it, but my tv is 160' or so down line with two -3.5db splitters. Some channels come through but others are too weak especially during the middle of the day. Night they are fine.
On my RV, I have an in-line amp/booster, and I wanted to do the same on the house. I googled it and it looks like a lot of people put them at the end of the line, at the actual tv... However in my RV it's upstream of many tvs and logically I feel like it should be more upstream of the tv.
I can't figure out precisely how they work, nor is google telling me how they should be installed... so can anyone confirm for me if I should put it at the end of the line (one on each tv??) Or upstream at maybe the 80' mark before the -3.5db splitters? Or somewhere else?
I just want something chill. Like 20m into δΈεθε·² and already overly dramatic backstabbyness plot has happened. Any genre is probably ok, but so far any of the romantic dramas I've watched have really abusive/bully (to my thinking) characters. I remember watching ι½ζΊε₯½ with my roomie and while it was great to learn from I hated it the whole time!
Edit: to be clear, if the bullies are clearly shown to suck and itβs not like secret bullying that no one believes gaslightey etc. than itβs ok (e.g., My Hero Academia has a mandarin dub and the bullies in that show everyone recognises as ridic)
Iβve been flipping through outer planet transits on archetypal explorer for funzies and I stumbled across a very interesting correlation between the history of the Television and the Neptune/Pluto Sextile.
At a 15degree orb, you can find that the major peak periods of the transit correlate to βbreakthrough advancesβ in the television history. For example, 1951 is when tv was available in color, and 1976 when the first VHS cam out. And a few others.
Interestingly, the transit is in a significant decline and starts building up again to another peak around 2030.
So whatβs the next βbreakthroughβ in television? Elon Musk beaming images directly to the brain?
Itβs also worth noting that as the Sextile with Pluto ends, a square begins. Indicating that said themes will become more conflicting than cooperative.
Thoughts, comments, concerns?
(Edit: Changes βMalefic than beneficβ to βconflicting than cooperativeβ)
Especially with the satisfied smirk afterwards. Television peaked that day. God bless you Sandra, this is your world and thankyou for letting us live in it
