I was serving a college recruiting party for a college near my work.
Originally the party was 12, I was serving them and things were going fine. Eventually groups of 2-3 start coming in and joining their table. They start grabbing tables from near by and making mega table.
I didn’t mind cause the whole thing was my section and my manager said I needed to focus on this group.
I gave them some of the best service arguably that I’ve ever given. They ended up ordering $600 worth of food at the end of it.
I asked who was taking the bill or splitting the check, the coach then goes, “I’ll take it, gotta show these recruits what life at this college is about, especially on my team”. I jokingly asked when try outs are and whatever. Hoping for a good tip.
Drop the check off after it’s paid for and everyone says thank you and stuff.
Get the check after and I was left $30 on $600 after attending to their table for 3 hours. I got some 1 tops and 2 tops toward the end but I made basically $30 in 3 hours. What a joke.

Just moved back to CT after a 10 year sabbatical. Fiancé and I are big fans of table football - and the light-hearted bickering that it engenders. The city's changed a bit since we were last here, so I was wondering which pubs have table football. Or are they all gone now?

The United States, Britain, and Australia have announced what is in effect a new “Anglo” military alliance. The basics are these: In 2016, Australia struck a deal with France to buy a fleet of diesel-powered submarines, worth $90 billion dollars. Yesterday, Australia scratched the deal and now will seek this deal from US and UK. France is furious and pulled it's ambassador from US.
Biden, Morrison, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson revealed that the Australians would scrap their agreement with France to team up with Britain and the U.S. instead, forming a new “AUKUS” military alliance in the process. ( Basically against the China domination).
China’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, said the move “seriously undermines regional peace and stability,” and the country’s embassy in Washington accused Britain, Australia, and the U.S. of having a “Cold War mentality.”

Interestingly, New Zealand cricket tour of cancellation came at the same time when Australia pulled the trigger of it's $90 billion deal with France.
In this new AUKUS , Australia, UK and US, Canada and New Zealand are also partner.
For Pakistan cricket fans, if you decide to stay in Chinese block, learn to play Chinese sports, if you are cricket fan, you have to move to AUKUS block ( US & UK block). -No more cricketing teams from UK, Australia, NZ will be visiting for sure, because new world order is in place now!
So I often wonder what if more people started supporting these clubs because of how much they put into a game, can these teams go on and win titles and become as big as so called big clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona or Liverpool!
Does anyone know of any table football/Subbuteo clubs in Madrid?
