A list of puns related to "Superman (Kingdom Come)"
Out of these six, which do you prefer?
I was checking some old boxes and found some trades that I forgot to donate or give away. I'd usually make a library donation, but operations are down because of the pandemic, and there's no sign that things will get better soon.
I'd like to find them a good home to be read at least one more time. It would be sad for them to sit on a shelf unread after 15 years in boxed storage. Please don't buy these if you won't read them.
Price is $10 for all four books. I'll ship with USPS Priority Mail. I can only ship within the US. I'll pay for the rest if shipping is more than $10, up to the price of a flat rate medium box.
They're in excellent condition with no spine damage and light corner wear. Kingdom Come also has a light crease on the bottom right of the front cover. That corner is upturned slightly. I seem to recall that one page of a Hush volume was folded over, but I was unable to find that page.

Here's a 2019 Miken Janin model sheet of Alex Ross and Mark Waid's Kingdom Come Superman for DC Comics' Superman & the Authority, which debuted this year.

Going to put this man down
So lately I've been noticing some people using Kingdom Come as a counterpoint to the events of Injustice. If the Joker of Earth-22 couldn't break Superman's psyche, then how would Joker of Injustice could? I decided to read the Kingdom Come comics myself, including the JSA specials (and btw, they were amazing, props to Alex Ross for all the effort to make this comic book so visually appealing and for writing it and thank you to Mark Waid for also writing it), and found out that Lois made Supes promise not to kill the Joker when he was tempted to. That was the difference right there. Injustice Superman didn't get a promise to keep, and the event he went through was far more traumatic and horrifying than what Kingdom Come Superman went through.
Also he was more inexperienced than most Supermen. He was yet to encounter the likes of Brainiac, Bizarro, Cyborg Superman and Ultraman. He also never met Supergirl before he became a tyrant and Luthor was never a villain. Mind you, Superman's villains aren't just powerful people he has to defeat, but also somewhat of a cautionary tale for what he could have become if certain events transpired. Luthor's what he'd be if he were selfish and abused his powers, Brainiac is what he'd be if he had little value of the Earth and its people, Bizarro if he had twisted and skewed morals, Cyborg Superman if his powers came at the expense of his sanity, and Ultraman if a ruthless, selfish asshole had his powers from the beginning. Injustice Supes had none of those reminders, and it contributed to his fall from grace.
Why is Batman so against Superman coming out of retirement and stopping the out of control metas? Surely Batman would've been all over the idea considering that the out of control metal wiped out his rogue gallery and continued to plague Gotham.
