A list of puns related to "Stir of Echoes"
What are some good movies about people haunted by hallucinations of horrible events that a spirit is either trying to warn the protagonist of or events that the spirit is trying to tell the protagonist already happened? Best example I could think of would be Stir of Echoes
Robert Hunter 1941-2019 As Kim Cascone has intoned, May he become Buddha.
Black/Silver model. Got it in this sub. Wanna change it up. Looking for Analog Delay.
As title stated, the cars in the movie are old school boats, cars that were common in the early to mid 90's, seeing them again makes me feel so old. Usually I'm grateful for the wisdom and experience, but for some reason this little detail in the movie is getting to me.
I love playing Fire Emblem games. There's something special about them: Once you start playing one, it is very hard to stop; coming into this game, I knew that. My first FE was Path of Radiance on the GameCube, and I also played GBA games that came to the USA, and somewhat recently I finished 2 playthroughs of FE: Three Houses, so I was well prepared for what I thought the game would be. I was pleasantly surprised to see some things I didn't expect from a Fire Emblem game.
GAMEPLAY
The game begins typically for an FE title. A little exposition, a bit of prose, and then you get thrown into a battle. But, as you approach your first enemy, something is different, there is no weapon durability. Not just on whatever special weapon or skill. There is no durability at all. I love this, it pulls some of the apprehension out of attacking an enemy with your best weapon. But how do you choose a weapon?
Inventory is fascinating. Just like FE games, you have a convoy to store items, and your protagonist at the time can pull from it anywhere, as well as any adjacent allies. But each character can only hold 1 item. That means, if you want to hold a shield or weapon, you won't be able to hold any healing items. There are no vulnerary items, instead, health is restored by eating food -- We'll circle back around to food in a moment -- which you will gain an abundance of. Inventory in the caravan is not infinite, and all items, weapons or otherwise, take up slots. It's not a big problem since there is plenty of room, but by endgame, you may have to discard or sell some things.
You'll want to keep your character health high, because this game does another unique thing with its gameplay: combat arts deplete HP. Yes, since there is no durability, something has to go, right? Further, any magic other than Nosferatu deplete HP. I'm lukewarm on this concept. I like the layer strategy it provides, but it also discourages the taking of any risks for fear of death, a problem somewhat mitigated by the next thing we'll talk about.
If you've played FE: Three Houses, you'll recall the ability to turn back time. The concept seems to have originated from this game. This time travel, 'Mila's turnwheel,' as it is called, is not truly integral to the plot in the same way it is in FE:TH. It's a useful feature, though many FE purists will argue otherwise, I'm sure. It's good for correcting mistakes, and I found myself using it to make small corrections quite a bit. The number if uses

CYL3 is upon us, bringing us alts of the 2 most popular women and 2 most popular men of 2018, alongside Sigrun forβ¦some reason. The banner is, for the most part, built to be anti meta; Eliwood brings an anti-dragon+anti-beast lance into the mix, Alm is yet another dragonkiller with a destructive A skill, Micaiah is an anti-AR unit that penalizes foes for clumping together and deals effective damage to armor+cavalry units, and Camillaβ¦has a 14 mt Gravity+ with Swift Sparrow 1.5 built into it. As for Sigrun, she uhβ¦ well, she exists! Youβre all here for one thing though- do these heroes forge a brave new world, or will they spread an echoing sentiment of disappointment?
Everything presented here is ultimately an opinion, as is the case with many posts of this nature- Iβll be using stats and comparisons to back up my claims where possible, but just because I think something is bad does not mean it is objectively bad or unusable.
Alm β Imperial Ascent
HP | Atk | Spd | Def | Res | BST |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
39/42/45 | 35/38/42 | 32/35/38 | 34/37/40 | 17/20/23 | 172-173 |
Weapon- Dracofalchion: Effective against dragon foes. Grants Atk+3. If the number of foes within 2 spaces (excluding target)β₯ the number of allies within 2 spaces (excluding unit), grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat.
Special-Draconic Aura: Boosts damage by 30% of unitβs Atk.
A Skill- Scendscale: Deals damage=25% of units Atk, but after combat, if unit attacked, deals 7 damage to unit. (uninheritable)
B Skill- Chill Def 3: At start of turn, inflicts Def-7 on foe on the enemy team with the highest Def through its next action.
C Skill- Threaten Atk/Spd 3: At start of turn, if unit is within 2 spaces of a foe, grants Atk/Spd+5 to unit for 1 turn and inflicts Atk/Spd-5 on foes within 2 spaces through their next actions.
Alm is an infantry sword unit with decent HP, staggering atk, decent spd, high def, and middling res, carrying BST on par with a non-trainee armor unit; if he has his superboon, heβs only 1 point behind a typical current-gen, non-trainee armor. Thatβs nuts. He makes great use of his stat allocation, dumping the stat he doesnβt need in favor of making the rest of his stats really high, and it pays off quite well for him; heβs a solid physical tank, and heβs an absolute nuke thanks to his A skill coupled with an already s

It only took one voiced cutscene with the mysterious figure in white for me to realize who that person is, or rather, i should say it made me realize whose corpse they are inhabiting.
My theory was compounded by that shit eating grin. I don't know which Ascian is currently possessing him, but i am almost 100% sure that body they are using is none other than Asahi sas Brutus. From the moment he began to speak my thoughts were "I recognize this voice, but who is it?" it was only when he gave a toothy smile that the picture came together.
I have to wonder, if it is indeed Asahi's body that is being used, why would they do so? Surely there has to be a reason beyond convenience of finding a corpse suited for occupation.
What are your thoughts on the idea that the man behind the mask may very well be using Asahi's body?
