A list of puns related to "Standard ML"
I've found a big mistake in a paper accepted by a top ML conference. While it can be fixed, this would require rewriting a large portion of the paper, as well as keeping much weaker results. I have written about it to the author, but after more than a month I haven't received any answer yet. What should I do?
Been a long time since I used the standard/made up ML squad (probably PES 6), have usually just picked up Arsenal's squad (it's always needed plenty improvement π).
However, starting a Glasgow Lions team in English second division (Rangers and Celtic in Prem at expense of Fulham and West Brom), and I'm using the starting ML squad.
So, with the approach being youth and potential - which standard players (Castledine etc.) are the best to keep in this respect?
I have considered overwriting the fake players the Lions start with, with the old master league standards - can you even edit ability when you create players?
It seems that there is no real-time chat with the topic of Standard ML.
I have taken the liberty to create a chat room dedicated to Standard ML. Usage, library development, tooling, language design and everything else related to Standard ML.
I have created a room #standardml at the matrix.org server.
You can join the chat using any matrix client. For a one-click web-based interface use this link: https://app.element.io/#/room/#standardml:matrix.org
Matrix is a free open source federated protocol for chat. It has several open implementations, and a lot of good open source clients for Windows, Mac, Linux, web-based, Android and iOS. See https://matrix.org/ for a better sales pitch.
Is there a library for reading and writing comma-separated values (CSV) files?
I've looked at the websites below, but I could not find a CSV library.
For example at my last bar most sour style drinks like daiquiris used this template: 2oz spirit .75 citrus .75 sweetener
So would you do 60ml, 20, 20? Or 60, 30, 30? Or is it more common for cocktails to be built with a 1.5oz spirit base? So 45ml, 20, 20?
Hopefully this makes sense!
Iβve installed SMLNJ and a Visual Studio CodeΒ extension, andΒ run theΒ toplevelΒ in VS Codeβs integrated terminal. But the editor support isΒ pretty minimal, just syntax highlighting and limited code completion, with no type throwback in the editor, so I figure I would need to lean more heavily on theΒ toplevel. Itβs extremely limited compared toΒ utop, but Iβd like to at least pose it questions like: What modules are currently loaded? What is the signature for module X? What bindings are currently in effect? But I couldnβt find any way to do that, or even a help function! I scoured SMLNJβs website but could find only a few paragraphs worth of documentation on the REPL.
SML seems like a very clean, simple but powerful language. There seems to be more instructional resources available online compared to OCaml, and SML is widely used in programming language research. Much of what I learn from such resources should be readily transferable toΒ OCamlΒ as well.
Any suggestions?
I am sorry, if this post is irrelevant to this sub. But, I tried searching in the internet, but I couldn't find the answer. And I don't have a weighing machine at my home.
This came from a discussion in another post about having toxic teammates (unfortunately mostly PH players) who play the ML strat and end up playing badly. I hope this can help newer players play accordingly and current players to play more effectively.
MSW, is actually built on the strategies used in Onmyoji Arena and Extraordinary Ones (all same developer, Netease), where there is the laning phase, midgame and late game, with VERY STRICT lane roles attached to each hero type. The main difference of the three Netease games is the farming mechanic, which I will focus on here. Because if you start farming wrong, you or your teammates will get behind your opponent.
I. LANING PHASE The laning phase is what its name means and will primarily involve the players to stick to their lane and FARM FIRST. The meta is:
TOPLANE : Tanks, off-tanks and fighters Why: They can sustain themselves by farming alone and hold off the top lane as long as possible. With little engagement early game, they can remain at the top with minimal returns to the base. Engage only when you outcompete your opponent in level or when the jungler visits you for a gank.
MID LANE: Mage or energy heroes ALONE Why: Since it's the shortest lane it's the most important to protect. Also it has access to bothe the top and bottom lanes. Mage/energy heroes have AoE abilities to farm minion waves quickly and can then roam to either top or bot lane to support whoever is having a hard time. A good mage who outcompetes it's opponent in level should roam immediately to help the other lanes. When disadvantaged, ping that your enemy has roamed to warn the other lanes.
BOT LANE: MMs and support Why: the supp will have to babysit the MM until he completes his first few items, usually until lvl 8. The support should build the supp item S.H.I.E.L.D Badge FIRST ALWAYS, which halves the received coins and exp and given to the MM (or nearby allies). This is for the MM to get all his first few items sooner and snowball quickly. Even of the supp last-hits the minion, as long as the supp item is built, the MM will always get the majority of the farm. The supports are still weak early game (with probable exception of Groot or tank-support) so their primary role is help with faarm and continuous poke to the enemies to deny them farm.
JUNGLE: OBVIOUSLY the jungler Why: OA, EO and consequently MSW have a dedicated jungler, whose means of farming primarily comes from the jungle monsters. As opposed to other MO

I have considered overwriting the normal squad (Wigan iirc) with the old master league standards, can you even edit ability when you create players?
