A list of puns related to "Spoken Word Canada"
i really donβt know why i hate it so much, it just always sounds like slam poetry to me and it makes me laugh. a great example is black flagβs family man - i know rollins likely didnβt intend for it to be funny, but come onβ¦
βwith your christmas lights already up, youβre such a man when youβre puttin up your christmas lights, first on the block, family man. familyβ¦MANβ
like cmon, thatβs fucking hilarious. it just came on my shuffle today and made me remember how much i dislike spoken word; just needed to get it off my chest lol
do you guys like spoken word? why/why not?
Iβm a beginner in Japanese, and I have been improving on my grammar and vocabulary right now. Iβve been reading βRemember the Kanjiβ and using WaniKani, among other things.
Iβve been progressing fairly well for not being too deep into everything yet, but I realised something while I was learning vocabularyβ¦ how are you supposed to know what word is which when speaking Japanese?
γγ / γ³γ¦ can mean so many different things. Is the language just about insane inference and assumption? Or am I just not at the point where I understand yet?
Watching this with Deaf friend. Turned CC off so he can just experience the episode that has ASL and zero spoken words. He is enraptured. The Deaf character is in four of the episodes and is an important character, but episode 7 is astounding. Itβs basically an entire episode of television that was written to watch with no need to hear, so Deaf can enjoy it exactly the same as hearing.
There's no obvious way I can think of to accommodate a sign into speech, so I'm not sure how it would work.
Or what about native sign language speakers using a spoken language (e.g. in writing) - do they show any influence from their native sign language? For example, calqueing a compound in the sign language into the spoken language?
