So I just found out what skijoring is (cross country skiing with a dog pulling) and I have a husky that loves to run. Typically you need a groomed track to make this work. Is there any skijoring tracks here in Utah, or anything that is suitable and dog friendly? Thanks! :)

Does anyone know of a well loved brand of either jackets/sweaters for outdoor activities for GSPs. Average jackets and average pulling harnesses never seem to fit!
Any cross country skiers out there with recommendations on where to go skijoring in or around Winnipeg? I would love to get going skiing with my dog this winter. I've tried this at a couple of city parks, but it's too distracting for my dog (when busy) and too small an area.
When winter comes along, I would love to bring my Bernese mountain dog for some cross country skiing. It’s something I’ve done since I was a kid, so can’t wait to bring a dog along! I’ll probably only end up with a couple of days in the snow this season, so wondering if there are things we could start practicing already now?
My Bernie is 10 months old and does great on off-leash hikes.
I'm a long-time backcountry / alpine touring skiier and trail runner, this year I'm fortunate enough to be living somewhere (South Lake Tahoe) with snowy trails just a few minutes walking from my house. I've been trail running on snow with microspikes but my girlfriend picked up some nordic skis recently, I got some boots (NNN) and tried them out, and it was much more fun than I thought it would be. Now I'm looking to get my own skis since hers are short and I want to be able to ski with her. I've tried skijoring a few times and my dog LOVES it, so that's also what I'd like to do more.
The terrain here is mostly flat with some undulations, completely un-groomed, usually packed by a combination of snowmobiles, XC skiiers, and snowshoers so it gets quite bumpy. Mix of wide fire roads and singletrack. After a few warm sunny days the trails also get quite icy.
I'm looking for skis that I'll actually be able to control with a dog pulling me down a bumpy, icy, slight downhill. BC skis seem ideal for this but most of them have full metal edges which is a no-no for Skijoring from what I've read. I definitely care much more about control and stability than glide since it's hard to really get gliding on these bumpy tracks anyway. Any suggestions for skis that would be safe for skijoring while also giving me some control?
I'm mainly a BC/AT skier, but have recently started skijoring with my dog. I need appropriate skis. Currently, everything I have is metal edge and off piste.
The problem is that I'm in the Pacific northwest with insanely variable snow, so waxable classics are a drag, and the majority of the trails are either singletrack set by snowmobile or wide snowmobile groomers.
I'm thinking that skin skis are really what I need, but would they be skate worthy at all? Any input is appreciated.
Beginner here. Learning the ropes now but hope to bring my crazy husky along for the ride once I get my skills up a bit. Any advice on a good affordable set up or skijoring in general would be most welcome. Thanks ahead of time and happy 2021.
